2012 Cleveland Browns thread: AKA Pat Shurmur Memorial thread

Honestly, if Reid is fired, he would be the best fit because he could transition to the Browns with them already running a west coach offense, he can just bring his version with him, which would fit alright with the guys we have now, let Weeden work from the gun more rather then pushing him to be under center most of the game. As long as Reid/Banner can work together I think it'd be fine with me. Isn't Reid the reason why Banner left Philly?

I would be worried about Reid not running the ball.

Yes, Reid forced Banner out in a power struggle.

Then that answers that question. Reid won't be coaching the Browns. If he got fired I think he would take a year off anyway. He has been going through a lot.

He needs to go on a diet. He should take a yr off for that.

No thanks on Reid...we wouldn't even know who Trent Richardson is with him calling the plays.

Then again, Derpmer has Weeden go for 40 attemps most weeks so what the hells the difference

Reid at least has a lot of pass plays designed for his RB. He is a good coach, his track record speaks for himself. With that being said, I would still take Gruden first.

    Corner turned?

I like the fact that there's a "good chance" Rubin & Taylor will play. Now MoMass needs to sack up, pull his testicles out of his ass, and play.

I dont think thats possible with MoMass, The way He plays I doubt He has Testicles

I miss a REAL fullback! One who is hungry to just beat someone to death every time a running play is called!

We need another blocker like Lawerence Vickers, who just LIVED to hit someone. HIM bashing holes open for Richardson would just be brutal!
  • Go4alOngbOmB
Well someone LIKE him....not him per say......

As far as my comments on Mike Lombardi...every franchise he's touched has turned to shit and he was the behind the scenes "mole" that drove Bernie Kosar out of town.

EDIT: Ok, it's Grossi but this will give you a little bit more on Lombardi...

The Colt McCoy lovers have been quiet for several weeks now. Although he may be 29, Weeden is certainly an upgrade on McCoy, and he continues to make improvements week in and week out.

the "lovers" are just as bad as the "haters"

Believe it or not, there were some people arguing that McCoy should still be our starting quarterback a few weeks ago. Sorry for bringing his name up :p

And today on the train I heard a 10 year old kid say he should be president, doesn't mean it holds any credibility.

Just because some retard on a Cleveland radio show or a Browns forum said it doesn't make it legit.

No one with a brain wants McCoy anywhere near the field; if there were ever any comments they were most likely made in jest (hence my "bring in McCoy :D" post in the Philly game).

^^ i do. i like him as our starter from here on out. i am officially of the weeden banwagon
  • BR1986FB
Yeah, the McCoy subject needs to stop. Unless Weeden gets hurt or his arm falls off, #12 isn't seeing the field.
