Grossi is a prick. He represents everything wrong with Cleveland media -

They were talking about it on the fan yesterday. Word is the Rams want Blackmon but know if they trade down past the Browns he will likely be gone. I think there is a good chance RG3 is there at 4 unless the redskins or dolphins pull a Ditka and offer up their entire draft. -

I agree. Obviously the Rams would love to move down to 4 and get either Blackmon or Kalil. But, if I am the Browns, I stay put (or trade down myself). Like you mentioned, the Rams don't want to move down so far that they don't get one of those 2 guys unless someone blows them away in a trade offer. Maybe some team goes wild and gives up a ton to move to #2 to get RGIII, but I would take the chance that no one does.hangonsloopy;1059258 wrote:They were talking about it on the fan yesterday. just have to hope blackmon and kalil blow away the combine to the point where the separation between them and floyd/reiff is too great to trade out for the vikings and rams. rg3 would add so much excitement to the teamWooball;1059292 wrote:I agree. On conference call, ESPN's Mel Kiper said he believes RG3 will be picked
2nd-4th. No. 2 would be via trade. Said he can't project trades.
ESPN's
Mel Kiper on # Browns in draft: "They have
to get a quarterback. ... They're probably gonna kick Colt McCoy to the curb."
# NFL
ESPN's Mel Kiper said # Browns need WR in draft. In 1st mock, he
has them taking Baylor WR Kendall Wright at No. 22. Likes RG3-Wright
tandem.
ESPN's Mel Kiper said he thinks # Browns would pick WR Justin Blackmon or
RB Trent Richardson if another team trades up to take RG3 at No. 2

I think Heckert's too smart for that. He's all about value. If their guy isn't there at 4 or they don't trade up, I could see him trading back as far as 15 and then taking Richardson. I'd have no problem with Richardson there. If they stay put at 4, they could package the #22 with another pick and move up for Richardson. Truth be told, I think Richardson lands in Cincinnati at #17 (think that's their first pick). Heckert should know better than to reach THAT much for Richardson when he could move down. get an extra pick or two and STILL get him....walk down the hill and fuck em' all (old bull, young bull).derek bomar;1059496 wrote:if they take Richardson I am going to quit. -

Exactly. How Mel Kiper hoodwinked ESPN into that job I'll never know. Only in America folks. When Jake Locker was heading into his senior year at Washington, "Junior" claimed he would be number one overall pick.wildcats20;1058855 wrote:Of course we all know that Kiper's word is like gospel, so I fully expect this to happen lol
Jake Locker? Really Mel? -
BR1986FBA lot or WR talent on this list. I have to think the Browns will land ONE of these guys....

And for those saying "Mario Williams will NEVER hit free agency", this guy seems to think he will...

royal_kGive me Bowe and Williams, please.

That's why I made my comments about Williams in previous posts. After Holmgren brought Reggie White to GB, I could see him trying to lure Williams here. Now whether Williams would be interested in playing here is a different story. Williams/Sheard would cause major havoc with their pass rush. Fun to think about.royal_k;1059926 wrote:Give me Bowe and Williams, please.
Off topic but what are the thoughts on the Browns trying to escalate the funds (almost $6 million) for the stadium renovation? After how they performed last year and the clusterfucks thereafter I think asking for the money is poor timing. -

Def poor timing. What exactly needs to be rennovated at the stadium? I didn't see anything wrong with it, granted I was pretty drunk.BR1986FB;1059932 wrote:That's why I made my comments about Williams in previous posts. Exactly! Nobody knows and the city council, and taxpayers, would like to see what these "renovations" are. They said on the radio they should've waited until the day after the draft and if they made a splash the fans would've been like "who cares we got <insert player(s)>."like_that;1059949 wrote:What exactly needs to be rennovated at the stadium? Off topic (a bit) again but Booms (92.3) was saying that when the stadium was built they had a design for the first see through retractable roof that would've allowed the sun to heat the field on cold days and overhead shots from blimps. Apparently they didn't want to go with it. They should've went with a retractable dome, imo. Might have attracted a Super Bowl. -

Holmgren probaly see's Shaun Alexander in Richardson it wouldn't surprise me if they pick him.derek bomar;1059496 wrote:if they take Richardson I am going to quit. -

No idea why they wouldn't add a roof. The city would greatly benefit from a hosted SB. It's still not too late to add a roof.BR1986FB;1059978 wrote:Exactly! In this economy you're not going to get an extra couple hundred million to make that happen. -
BR1986FB
Agreed. Not only that but they need to put a MUCH better product on the field before asking for anything more.bases_loaded;1060010 wrote:In this economy you're not going to get an extra couple hundred million to make that happen. -

I still think they are going to roll with McCoy (even though its a mistake) until they can sign a FA at QB. If Blackmon is gone I can see them taking Richardson over RG3 and getting a good receiver at #22.BR1986FB;1060019 wrote:Man, I hope you're wrong. That would be a reach of epic proportions.
