yea..really high risk though..I dont want to see them hurry up and use it before midnight but get low value for it. Then again it would be better to get something than nothing at all for it. I really dont see the NBA screwing Cleveland though lol -
thedynasty1998I know someone will call me a troll, but at this point Grant has been a failure.

Failure? Seems a bit harsh.
He brought us the 1st pick in the NBA draft for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon. I'm not sure how that is failure? -

and.......what more do you expect him to do? We got the #1 overall pick and Baron Davis(at this point, the best player on the team) for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon. Drafted the best that we could (excluding 2nd round), got rid of a position that has too many players for a first round and an upgrade at the #3. Free agency hasnt started yet, but its not like we are getting some superstar to come to Cleveland anyways. At least provide an explanation. -

How do you know you drafted the best that you could? A little premature for that isn't it?Pick6;819214 wrote:and.......what more do you expect him to do? Just like it is premature to say Grant is a failure, isn't it? -

ok....the best projected. Its not like they really reached on someone. Yes, I know the majority of Ohio thinks they reached on Thompson, but the sports analysts and the rest of the country disagree. -

You dont know, which is why that argument shouldnt be used aginst Grant. -

Good point. I just expected more dramatic moves at this point. I know it doesn't happen overnight but the rebuilding process needs to be expedited. -

I think alot of teams are nervous about making moves right now -
jordo212000I wouldn't call Grant a failure yet, especially since he just took the Clippers pants down in a big way.

certainly -
thedynasty1998The Thompson pick was a bit of a head scratcher, but I do think he has potential. The Hickson trade is decent because you get a position of need but not much of an improvement in talent. They didn't use the exception and tradede away a solid 2nd round draft pick.
-
hoops23The Thompson pick wasn't a head scratcher. Going into the draft I knew the Cavs liked him a lot. They worked him out twice and he is young with a lot of potential, plus he defends and rebounds.
And so what if we didn't use the TPE? I'd rather NOT use it than make an idiotic trade and be stuck with bullshit. The TPE was a cap hold, so it now lessens our cap as well.
You can't call Grant a failure. IMO, he's made some great moves already.
You may say "I know people will call me a troll" because of that comment, but that's EXACTLY what you're looking for. You want to get responses from people because you're "that guy". You have no substantial argument on why Grant is a failure.
You critique him for trading away Jordan Hamilton, who was a 2nd round pick. 70% of 2nd round picks don't make teams or make a regular contribution. For some reason, I highly doubt Jordan Hamilton would make us any better.
And we traded Jordan Hamilton (1 second round pick) for two second round picks. How is that a bad trade again? Dwight will be out of Orlando by the time we get those picks, so it's very possible they could be high 2nd round picks. -

hoops23LMAO...
Yeah, Justin Harper... Where the fuck did I get Jordan Hamilton?
Yikes. -
hoops23Derp... Jordan Hamilton was a Longhorn drafted by the Nuggets I believe... Totally got the names mixed up. My bad.
But, still... The point remains. -

I'd rather call you an idiot than a troll -
SportsAndLadyNot surprised dynasty hasn't given an explanation yet...probably heard goldhammer say it, so he repeated it (that's what he does) then when trying to think of how grants a failure he couldn't come up with a damn thing.
-
thedynasty1998Justin Harper was drafted at the top of the 2nd round. The percentages are much higher for the 32 pick than the 55th. It was a dumb trade. Really provided no benefit to the Cavs.

When was the last time the 32nd pick did anything? -

lmao, pwned. Spot on as well. I knew it was only time for the resident little troll to come back and spew his typical BS. Glad to see he eityher has another screen name or a friend on here as well in rob. Just reading his posts, they have very similar posting styles. It'd almost be comical if it wasn't so pathetic. -

The Justin Harper pick provided no benefit either. Not to a team rebuilding from the ground up like the Cavs. You just look for any little thing you can to criticize them, point blank.
Trading 1 2nd round pick for 2 is never a bad deal. Also, you seem to ignore that Dwight Howard may likely be gone by the time those picks get to the Cavs, so 55th picks they will not be.
Either way, it gives the Cavs more trading chips as fillers in a trade as well. -
SportsAndLadyI love how he also says "not using the TPE is a failure"
Uhh, it doesn't expire for another 10 days lmao
and even not using it doesn't mean it just , disappears. It still has an impact on the books, and their ability to manipulate their salary to their desire (aka planning for the future, aka what their plans SHOULD BE right now). -
Commander of Awesome
Exactly why would we use it just to use it? Sorry but I dont want to use the TPE to aquire a player like Derek Fisher, or another overpaid washed up player who doesn't help the team or build for the future. Typical BS spewn from Crynasty.SportsAndLady;819383 wrote:I love how he also says "not using the TPE is a failure"
