  Just because they were only 7-9 at that point doesnt mean they didnt have asically the same roster(if not a little better bc were some key players not injured at that time?) as the team that finished as almost the worst in the league

  This is nothing more than trying to play sports-psychologist. The facts are, taking the large sample size of the season, the Cavs were one of, if not they worst team in the league, and the Heat were one of the best. And it's not surprising at al they'd get blown out by them. What is surprising is that they actually won a game against them, so be happy.

  Because anything can happen, bad teams upset good teams all the time. I'm unsure of what you're getting at though, as that's all pretty obvious. If anything, speaks to the fact that perhaps they were MORE motivated to beat Lebron/The Heat.

  Oh...the Cavs weren't a good team but nothing will convince me that the beatdown they took against Miami sent them into a downward spiral. They were actually playing pretty good basketball up until then.

  At the point they played (December 2nd) the Cavs were playing well, and I don't think the Heat really were. I'd have to check their record but I don't think it was much better. Lebron's "boys" were intimidated by him, they laid down for him and they let him act like a fucking clown on THEIR home court.

  The team laid down and took it up the ass in the only game the fan base cared about for the whole season. Do you remember how big of a deal that game was to the fan base? JJ and others were joking around with lebron and clowning...it was ridiculous. No one really gave a shit about the second game...the season had been lost. You can spin it however you want, but that team laid down and took an ass whooping of epic proportions when the city needed them to perform.

  Then the next time they came to Cleveland "his boys" manned up, played physical(can remember James getting knocked to the ground multiple times) and they beat the heat and really controlled most of the game. I can give them a one game pass. Plus, jj, andy, and gibson werent guarding lebron

  The jokin around part I can see why itd upset the fans. But getting beat by a much better team doesnt mean they laid down to me. But im looking at it from a different perspective than Cleveland fans.

  We are not talking about a 20 point road loss....this thing was like 40(at one point) at home. That cant happen, they are still NBA players afterall. Hell, I think the fan base could have lived with the 30 pt loss if one of them would have knocked lebron on his ass when he came down the lane.

  Meaningless game. As Mantooth said, season was over. Big Deal. Their sacks shriveled up inside of them when the city needed them most. And I can't give Andy, JJ & Gibson a "pass" when they were some of the guys hugging on/chest bumping him.

  Again, it's nothing more than playing e-sports psychologist to believe it's attributable to something other than the extreme talent differential between the two teams. They got blown out even worse by the Lakers, it doesn't mean they laid down, it means they sucked and the Lakers were really good.

  But obviously I'm not going to convince you that JJ/whoever else will play hard against Lebron, or whoever else they may be friends with in the league. And moving him off the roster is seemingly the direction Gilbert has decided to go in as well. So I'll just move on.
  
  Back to the Thompson pick, it's appearing more and more like we didn't draft him for Charlotte. Clearly there needs to be some movement to make him fit in at all with the current roster. If it's Hickson that goes, hopefully we can get good value for JJ, it's always a big risk trading away a, somewhat, proven commodity and one of your best players, for an unproven guy.
  
  What are some of the potential destinations for JJ? Any rumblings of him/others being on the move tonight?

  As for the #4 pick, I would have loved to see them trade out of it...but you have to be able to get value for it and I am sure they couldn't. Sucks that it is a weak draft....there really was nothing there at #4,

  Cavs could have got the most value by picking Williams number 1 and getting Knight at 4
