thavoiceOh yeah..Hoculi....Non..you may have to restated when ya think the game will be over. His long responses and explanations may add 15 min to the game.
I saw the game gets over closer to after 10pm. Kickoff proll closer to 640 (am hoping later the better). -

Another big gripe for the Steelers I'd say is Harrison getting held. He had three sacks last week and still probably got held by Oher 5-6 times that looked obvious in front of the officials.
That's tough to call all the time, though, the edge rushers get held a lot and you can't call it every play or the game will suck. -
Art ModellJets just announced that Brad Smith is healthy and will return kicks.

my "team" is really the cowboys, but i do root for the bengals as well. I only hate pittsburgh because a lot of their fans are annoying and obnoxious.
as for the game, so im not considered trolling.....
i think it will be chippy(like all pittsburgh games are), low scoring defensive battle, and will be a one score game. I think it will come down to how well sanchez plays. as long as he manages the game well and plays a pretty mistake free game, i think the jets win. I also think santonio holmes will play a great game with sort of an old "fuck you" attitude against pittsburgh. The jets will also put up better running numbers than the ravens pitiful 30 something yards. hopefully the offense has game planned well for polamalu. stop him from making big plays, and i think you beat them.
go jets! -

Sweet, although Cromartie did a fine job in his stead. -
NonWith the Steelers kick coverage, it might not matter.
But I think Brad Smith could be a difference maker. That's certainly better for the Jets to have him available. -
NonObviously the Jets want to run enough to be in manageable down and distance.
In most games the Steelers stuff the run easily. Basically the first down run is always a brick wall, second down run maybe a few yards and then 3rd and 6 or more.
But the Jets were able to grind out the tough yards better against the Steelers the last game than most teams.
But again, no Polamalu. -
Heretic
Part of that probably was because of the two teams, too. Pittsburgh and Baltimore hate each other to the degree, it's easy to imagine the refs wanting to crack down early to minimize the changes of things escalating into full on brawling. There were a few skirmishes throughout the game, but really nothing serious considering the two teams and what was at stake.thavoice;646850 wrote:Last week they called it pretty tight early on in the steelers game.
In the big games officials usually:
1. Call it VERY tight, even some ticky tack stuff, closer than the regular season, to set the tone and standard for the game.
2. Let stuff slide and let the players decide it without much official intervention.
Expect both defensive backfields to test the officials early on with what will and will not be considered 'holding' or 'illegal' contact.

Especially since on Sunday night, I'll be getting really drunk and ban-happy. -
NonWhy was Bart Scott mad at Tom Jackson?
Honest question. I didn't see what Jackson said.
Because didn't a lot of people pick the Patriots? -

Maybe Harrison will call out Bill Cowher after they win. -
justincredibleDid you see Jackson's response on why he picked the Pats by so much? He said he was basically trying to motivate the Jets. Derp.

Yeah, because I actually want Bart Scott to kill himself (are you fuckin' serious?) and I said shit about players being deserving of cheap shots for committing penalties.

CAN'T WAIT for the Steelers to play in your team's new stadium!
That's gonna be tough watching other teams playing in the Super Bowl in the house that Jerry built. A lot of people thought this was Dallas' year.
Anyways, do you guys think the Steelers kick it deep to Smith or just squib and give up decent field position? -

Who else made that comment on here? So yeah, it stands to reason that you were talking about me. -
justincredibleI think they kick it deep to Smith until he gives them a reason not to.

Probably but I'll be nervous every time they kick off (which I hope is often). -

I hope you win. Nothing will give me greater pleasure than sending you a Hillis or McCoy jersey as your prize. -
