I do believe the steelers are putting in more permanant seats in the open end zone starting next season...

Even though Hines isn't a speed guy.....he's physical and a good route runner. A crafty vet who knows how to get open. Cromartie is allergic to tackling and gets a little lazy sometimes when he's not having to use his coverage skills downfield against a speed guy. Ward could lull him to sleep on some short/intermediate routes.

I would look for Cromartie on Wallace and Revis on Ward.

Then it will be up to Sanders, Brown and Miller against the Jets other defensive backs and I think that's ok for the Steelers.

Sanders is crafty and has that quick twitch style which allows him to gain separation. Ben has gained a good rapport with him late in the year.

Just give Ben a few seconds and we'll be OK.

How guruesque will Tomlin vault to if the Steelers can win a 2nd SB for him at this point in his career?

I'm not sure it'll matter too much. Neither is great for those receivers....but i do agree Ward would lure Cromartie to sleep once or twice.

    very high level

he has a lot of coaching left and to have two rings already would be a big deal in terms of his credibility

That seems almost spot on what it was for the Jets/Bengals playoff game last year. Froze my ass off but it was obviously worth it.

A game must be a good game if a person freezes their ass off twice, but it was worth it both times.
  • Ironman92
    The Bengals played awesomely.
  • Ironman92

I don't need to post pad. I can arbitrarily set my post count to whatever I want. So ha!

I am now leaning towards the Jets. I don't know why, I just have a feeling (as I don't have a horse in this race anyhow). I feel like they're pretty even on defense (#1 Pittsburgh vs. #3 Jets) and with Polamalu being dinged up, advantage to the Jets. Also, IMO the Jets have more on offense than the Steelers. Qb position goes to the Steelers, but Holmes and Edwards are better than the Steelers WR IMO and the tandem of LT and Green are better than Mendenhall. It comes down to Sanchez. If he plays well, Jets. If he plays average or below average, Steelers win. Steelers will be putting a ton of pressure on Sanchez and if they are successful, they win.
