Think the 28th is their pick this year. They got 17 through one of their "swindlings" they did of somebody. I'd actually be willing to take #17 and their #33, which is the first pick in the 2nd round. After every team reshuffles their draft board overnight that will be the catbirds seat and they may have a TON of offers to trade up on day 2.

I'm not gay if I got a chub looking at that am I?

Yea, checked the mock draft I was looking at last night and noticed they had predicted the Pats to trade that pick to Tennessee....smh. Who predicts trades in a mock?? lol

The Patriots could package the 17th and 28th picks to move up. Or the 17th, 60th (second round), 74th (third), and perhaps a late pick.

If the Browns aren't getting the Pats first round next year as well, then fuck this trade. Def fuck the trade if the pats are only going to offer their 17th and their 60th. I am sick of the pats getting these ridiculous gifts when it comes to trades. We aren't the raiders, the Browns should use this trade rumor for leverage for other trades tbh.

If the Browns took that trade to get the Pats #17 and 28th or 33rd there could possibly be guys such as Ryan Kerrigan, Anthony Castonzo, Cameron Jordan, Nate Solder, Gabe Carimi and Stephen Paea, Cam Heyward or Adrian Clayborn could still be there at 28.

The Browns are probably glad that this rumor is out there....leverage, like you said.

Unless there's a trade, I'm thinking Julio Jones to the Browns is very, very likely. I don't see Dareus, Green, or Peterson still being there, and I think in the end they'll go with Jones over Quinn.

    Final top 6 mock
    Carolina - Cam Newton
Denver - Von Miller(kind of out of left field, but consensus seems to be moving this way.)
    Buffalo - Dareus
    Cinci - AJ Green
    Arizona - Peterson
    Cleveland - Jones

Most of the top (mock) prognosticators now have Julio Jones as the pick at #6 so you're right in line.

I really dont want Julio at 6.

this is a little off-topic...but I just don't see the love affair with Newton. He's a physical specimen...but hes not proven. And I'd think Carolina would like to see what Clausen could do you in at least year 2 when he's not running for his life (as much) and has more experience.
  • BR1986FB
I'd rather trade down and take him at around #10. Number 6 isn't "value" for him, IMO.

He's dumb as a fucking box of rocks. They are going to have to leave a trail of breadcrumbs from his house to the facility just so he makes it in every day. He may make Vince Young look like a MENSA candidate when it comes to read/recognition.

Funny you said this. I was just talking to a guy at work who's a Panthers fan and I said the same thing. You saw Clausen his first year at ND running for his life and he put up so-so numbers. But then Floyd, Tate, and Rudolph emerged and he became one of college football's most efficient passers. And he throws a pretty nice deep ball IMO.

Too bad Carolina can't trade out of this pick and take AJ Green. Then with Green, Lafell, Steve Smith (if he isn't traded), DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart there are a decent amount of weapons around him. Their Oline isn't terrible either.

Anyways, not sure if it was posted earlier but McShay has some more Julio Jones info.

"6. Cleveland Browns -- It sounds like general manager Mike Holmgren will go with Alabama WR Julio Jones, who is a pro's pro already and would give second-year QB Colt McCoy a big-time target next season. "

I really like Jones, and don't mind taking him if Peterson isn't there. Also, Cam Newton will be a waste of a pick by the Panthers.

How would a Jonathan Baldwin type receiver do in the new offense? I'm not sure how fast he is but he has pretty good size and wouldn't be easy to bring down by a lot of corners one-on-one. He'll probably end up being taken in the mid-to late 2nd round I think.
  • royal_k
I'm not against taking Jones at 6. But if we could trade down a few spots and still land him, it would be much sweeter.

Yuck, do not want a big slow WR! we have too many already. booooo. Heckert likes the small fast ones. See Maclin and Jackson.

That's why I'd kinda like to see Jerrel Jernigan.

Source: Kaepernick is No. 1 QB on Raiders’ draft board
Posted by Evan Silva on April 28, 2011, 12:42 PM EDT
APTwelve days ago, a league source told PFT that one unnamed AFC West team informed Nevada’s Colin Kaepernick that he is the No. 1 quarterback on their draft board.

PFT has tracked down the team.

Per a league source, it’s the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders hosted Kaepernick for an official, team-facility visit on April 12. Thursday morning, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Oakland is trying to trade into the first round of the draft.

Michael David Smith speculated that Kaepernick could be the Raiders’ target. Other reports suggest it could be Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith.

Meanwhile, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora told a Miami radio show Thursday morning that he believes the Dolphins will draft Kaepernick with the 15th overall pick.

Kaepernick was not included in renowned draft prognosticator Rick Gosselin’s first round.

Does Kaepernick run a 4.4 or something?

The 2nd tier of wr's in the DeSean Jackson mold are guys like: Randall Cobb, Titus Young, Torrey Smith, and maybe other guys like Greg Little, Tandon Doss and Jerrel Jernigan
