So wait until NEXT year when the BETTER QB may be sitting there when they select THIS year?DeyDurkie5;1007095 wrote:so bringing in a rookie qb again, is going to help that? I just don't see it. get playmakers in there, and if mccoy absolutely sucks ass this next year, you draft your qb. that's my opinion on the matter. I may eat crow, but at least we aren't making the same mistakes we have been for the past 12 years
And how do you know a rookie that is currently in college isn't better than 3rd rounder McCoy? Cam Newton, Andy Dalton & Tim Tebow are rooks and they are better than 2nd year McCoy. -

I don't know. but what i do know, from my eyes and watching the amount of games i have this year, is that it's unfair to judge him up to this point. There is always going to be a franchise qb in the draft. If they don't give him the weapons to succeed, it's unfair to judge him on that. Not to mention, durpmur has completely fucked him on his play calling. I would give him one more year, if he sucks ass, then our record will fall and we will be in the top 5 picks the folloiwng year to get that franchise qb.BR1986FB;1007103 wrote:So wait until NEXT year when the BETTER QB may be sitting there when they select THIS year?

zach24ozA lot of mocks having us taking Richardson around 8 or 9 if Blackmon is gone...I would take him there, then taking Kuechly or Burfict with the ATL pick in the 1st. I dont know a lot about the Sanu WR from Rutgers but some mocks had us taking him in the 2nd and LaMichael James in the 3rd....having Richardson and James should boost our playmaking ability a tad.

Just because we have them doesn't mean we will use them correctly or creatively....zach24oz;1007152 wrote:A lot of mocks having us taking Richardson around 8 or 9 if Blackmon is gone...I would take him there, then taking Kuechly or Burfict with the ATL pick in the 1st. WHY would they take a RB in the 1st & 3rd round?zach24oz;1007152 wrote:A lot of mocks having us taking Richardson around 8 or 9 if Blackmon is gone...I would take him there, then taking Kuechly or Burfict with the ATL pick in the 1st. Commander of AwesomeI would love LeMichael James. He's a stud, why do they think he lasts until the 3rd round?
-
BR1986FBA lot of mocks have James in the 3rd and Burfict in the 2nd.
And that's why I said Hillis could be replaced in the draft or FA. Bring in James and keep Hardesty for depth and B-Jax. Although James is a tad small for a feature back. -
Commander of AwesomeThats what they said about Ray Rice/MJD

you mean replace hardesty correct?BR1986FB;1007181 wrote:A lot of mocks have James in the 3rd and Burfict in the 2nd.

I don't see Heckert's pride giving up on him unless he continues to get injured, like Hillis.DeyDurkie5;1007190 wrote:you mean replace hardesty correct? -

With players like Kalil and possible Barkley going back to school we shall have to see who even declares. If burfect is a 2nd round grade not sure he comes out.BR1986FB;1007181 wrote:A lot of mocks have James in the 3rd and Burfict in the 2nd.

They have a new coach next year at asu I bet he goes to the nfl. -
zach24ozSome mocks had CLE taking the Coples kid out of UNC. Can play DE or DT with his size and guess he has great pass rushing skills. I dont think they make that pick but he's graded as a top 10 pick.

I really hope they don't make that pick. I really don't want them picking Richardson in the first round either.zach24oz;1007329 wrote:Some mocks had CLE taking the Coples kid out of UNC. And hell no on Richardson...RB is not a top need.
Take a WR, QB, or LB w/ the first pick. Or the Honey Badger, tha'td be tempting -

I don't think he is eligible for the draft this year.SportsAndLady;1007456 wrote:Hell no.

Brady was a 7th round pick. McCoy has shown me a decent pocket presence, something Quinn, Anderson, Wallace and a whole bunch of others hadn't. When McCoy has time to throw, he has been fairly accurate. He is mobile and scrambles well...something that Rogers does extremely well. Other teams press our receivers...without any fear of them shaking open....never happens....and won't happen with this pie of crap. LeBeau is licking his chops once again for tonight's game. Disguise blitzes...bring the house...McCoy will have no one to throw to. Scene one. Act 175.BR1986FB;1006948 wrote:True, Durkie.
The McCoy excuses ARE bull****. He's played more than a season so he's not a "rookie." Every other "rookie" QB came into the same situation (green to the offenses, coaches, etc) and they seem to be thriving. He had a taste of it last season and his performance has regressed. He's a THIRD ****ing round QB, people...his chance of success was a coin flip to begin with.
Watch tonight's game. You will probably see...not one pass over 30 yards from McCoy. Why? Because we don't have a receiver that can run an effin 4.7. Compare that to Roethlesberger. He will go deep at least 5 times...count them. Why? Because the Steelers drafted in the third round a supposed unknown who just so happened to run a 4.3. Or..he will throw to another gutty receiver picked in the 7th round from a friekin MAC school (probably runs a 4.5) right under our flippin noses.
I like McCoy.....duh....it's time to use all the draft choices on the offense. The city deserves a team with not one....but several playmakers. They have the opportunity to right the ship by drafting the dude from Okie State (blackmon) and then they need to cherry pick a Wesley Welker clone. And if there's a Gronkowski floatin around out there, get him too.
I'm so sick and tired of this franchise screwing up in drafting the Courtney Browns of the world to be the defensive saviours. Screw the defense....when it comes to this year's draft. Fix the damn offense...and do it now. We have plenty of picks to get it done. -
Commander of AwesomeBrady was a 6th round pick.
-
DeyDurkie5well said footwedge. ginger, you know what he meant.
-
Pick6The Browns lead the league in dropped passes.
SMH, get McCoy some help before you decide you need to waste another top pick on a quarterback. -
Crimson streakThe only way I take a qb is if it's luck or Barkley. Other wise I take Blackmon or Claiborne from lsu. We would have 2 lock down corners. Then with the 2nd 1st take burfect
-
FootwedgeIn the first round, the Cleveland Browns select...Justin Blackmon. With the Atlanta Falcons pick....the Browns select Kendall Wright..wide receiver... Baylor. 13 touchdowns...and runs a 4.35 40.
Browns offensive problems....solved. -
shook_17it saddens me justin blackmon will be gone. either trade up for luck, or take barkely or rg3. all these dudes are legit, we can snag a wide out with our second first round pick like jeffery or floyd. sure our wide outs drop passes but when they are thrown low, high wide left and right it is hard to catch em. its def a two way street with colt and our receivers. not sold on colt and i think out of the 3 qbs that are possibly available in the draft, they have a good chance at being a franchise qb

I'm not wishing an injury on McCoy but a good barometer of how he's progressed would be for Seneca Wallace to finish out the year. If Wallace looks better, with the SAME supporting cast, you cut bait with McCoy and draft your QB. If Wallace looks worse, maybe, and it's a HUGE "maybe," McCoy is worth building around. -
BR1986FB
They aren't going to do this. They would be idiots to use TWO 1st rounders on WR's. Overpay for a PROVEN free agent and get another WR with that second 1st rounder, maybe, but you don't use BOTH 1s'ts on WR's.Footwedge;1007597 wrote:In the first round, the Cleveland Browns select...Justin Blackmon.
