BR1986FBAfter 38 years of being a fan I can honestly say "I DON'T CARE" what happens Thursday night. Nobody in that organization CARES. Head Coach, President, Owner, Players are ALL indifferent. Can't honestly root for these guys until they get rid of Shurmur & Holmgren. Heckert can stay. I think we're stuck with fucking Lerner.

I found myself watching the end of golf yesterday (which I've never watched golf in my life) and the packers giants game WHILE the browns were on. Smh. Makes me sad but seeing these guys give up after I spent all this money on season tickets pisses me offBR1986FB;1002513 wrote:After 38 years of being a fan I can honestly say "I DON'T CARE" what happens Thursday night. I just can't do it. I watch this shit, think about what this franchise USE to be and it makes me physically sick. I don't want to eat and I'm just in a pissy mood. This doesn't happen WHILE I'm watching this buffoonery, because I've come to expect it, but afterward, as I reflect, it soaks in.shook_17;1002571 wrote:I found myself watching the end of golf yesterday (which I've never watched golf in my life) and the packers giants game WHILE the browns were on. Commander of AwesomeI think I'm numb to it. 2009 & 2010 (Jake Failhomme anyone?)were my down point. At that point I would dread watching the games. They just had no shot to win in those seasons, this year at least we're playing hard and the games are competitive. I also see some building blocks on this team where the past seasons I didn't. This season is much better than the past two and I honestly have some faith in the GM. I didn't expect to win many games this season (I thought 4 or 5 wins) but if we don't start winning next season I will be pissed.

Heckert is ALL I have faith in. Holmgren is a fat ass paycheck stealer and I don't know WHAT to think of Shurmur.Commander of Awesome;1002595 wrote:I think I'm numb to it. 2009 & 2010 (Jake Failhomme anyone?)were my down point. Everyone and their brother KNEW that the ONLY chance the Browns had to make it respectable yesterday was to RUN THE BALL. Hillis was doing fine on those 1st down carries and then Shurmur gets pass happy. You have a shitty QB with shitty WR's and a bulldozer who is gaining 5-8 yards a pop on 1st down. Let's THROW on 2nd & short...THAT'S the ticket! I think the Browns ran the ball < 20x's yesterday. -
Commander of AwesomeI think Shurmur needs an OC, period. I'm disgusted with his lack of imagination and terrible pussy play calling. I think he can be a decent HC but as an OC he leaves a lot to be desired. In some way I feel like 2009 watching and wanting to know why the hell Jamal Lewis is seeing the field wondering where the fuck Harrison was. Where is Carlton Mitchell? He's our biggest, fastest WR, get him out there on a fucking Go route all ready. That's ridiculous. No defense will respect this dink and dunk bs when we can't run, dont throw deep, and McCoy gets a new black eye every time we try to throw a screen pass.
Speaking of the screen play, holy fuck. I don't ever want to see Fatshos running a screen again. He is slower than Rex Ryan. We run a screen, it needs to be behind Thomas, PERIOD. -

I heard people talking about this on the radio after the game. 1st half Hillis 10 carries 45 yards so 4.5 yards per pop. 2nd half 2 carries. Really, 2?? And it's not like we were getting smoked and needed to air it out. We were down by just 10 at half and at one point cut it to 7. There was no reason to go away from Hillis yesterday at all.BR1986FB;1002602 wrote:Heckert is ALL I have faith in. Holmgren is a fat ass paycheck stealer and I don't know WHAT to think of Shurmur.

Commander of AwesomeI wonder who would win in a race; Pashos on a screen or RAC to the buffet table

I think I'll try that. :laugh:Commander of Awesome;1002632 wrote:You should try skipping Breakfast and working out in the am. Not eating until lunch. -

Trick question....RAC NEVER leaves the buffet table. Race over...Commander of Awesome;1002636 wrote:I wonder who would win in a race; Pashos on a screen or RAC to the buffet table -
DeyDurkie5I didn't get to see the game, thankfully. but from what i saw at the end of the first stat wise, seemed like hillis was getting some good yardage. I agree with the points about hte offensive coordiantor. If we don't get one this offseason, i seriously will not watch one game. It's pointless to watch when the offense they are running is seriously the worst fucking thing in the world. When we start to get good at an area of the game, shurmur immediately shys away from it. 4.5 yards a carry, and you run him twice in the second half? I personally believe that I could run a better offense than shurmur. Which is just fucking sad.

It seemed like Hillis was getting 5-8 yards a pop on the first down carry and then, with 2nd & short, Shurmur had to prove how "smart" he was by throwing on 2nd, which usually resulted in an incompletion, putting the pressure on the offense on 3rd down.DeyDurkie5;1002640 wrote:I didn't get to see the game, thankfully. but from what i saw at the end of the first stat wise, seemed like hillis was getting some good yardage.
We get it Pat, you want to run the WCO. Why don't you WAIT and run it when you HAVE the pieces? Right now, with a shitty QB & WR's you are equipped to RUN the football. Is John Fox (with Tebow) the ONLY coach who adapts his offense to the talent around him? -

Which is why I think John Fox should get a ton of credit for whats going on in Denver..not Tebow.BR1986FB;1002651 wrote:Is John Fox (with Tebow) the ONLY coach who adapts his offense to the talent around him?
Not many coaches would completely change their offensive system to suit what they were given by their predecessors. -
WriterbuckeyeI'll DVR the game Thursday and watch if a miracle happens. Otherwise...delete.
I'm now on board to go all in on defense for this draft. I'm sick to death of backs running at will and setting personal and team records against the Browns. STOP THE FRICKING RUN. If they have to use every last draft pick to find the personnel to do that, I'm okay with a rotten offense for one more season. -
BR1986FB
These are pretty much my thoughts but they HAVE to go out and get a legit WR in FA. I would like to see them get a franchise QB though because after watching McCoy stare down WR's, lob floaters out there and throw late, I'm pretty much done with him. If the Rats DB's could catch they probably would've had at least 2-3 more picks.Writerbuckeye;1002766 wrote:I'll DVR the game Thursday and watch if a miracle happens. Otherwise...delete.

WriterbuckeyeI'd use free agency to try and find one more offensive lineman (right tackle), hope Steinbach comes back whole, and then try to sign a wide receiver who can stretch the field.
I really think McCoy has regressed this year because of the crappy play calling, lack of continuity in the offense, the most horrid line we've seen in a long time, and no help out wide. Do I think he's a classic franchise QB? Of course not. But I do think he could manage this team to wins if it had a stout defense, a decent line, and some wide receiving threats. The running game will be fine if the line gets better. -

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes!
I agree with all these posts! -

Not sure if this has been posted before, but I would be ecstatic. I'm a huge DeCastro fan. He's my guy that I want on the browns by hook or by crook. I don't care. He's a monster. -

I also think the Browns are going to reap the benefits of being awarded several compensatory picks this year which could help with depth or trade ups.Commander of Awesome;1002915 wrote:http://football.realgm.com/src_feature/421/20111111/2012_nfl_mock_draft_version_20/

Y-Town SteelhoundIf I'm the Browns I'm going:
1: RGIII
1: Michael Floyd
2: Mike Adams (not evenbecause of the OSU thing, but because I think he's simply the best tackle prospect that could be had in the early 2nd).
Do that and you have a chance on offense going forward -
Y-Town SteelhoundBTW, heard Shurmur stormed out of his presser today. It's becoming more and more clear that he is in over his head and lacks the composure and leadership to effectively be the head coach of this team.
