Young Jets fan roughed up

Art ModellMyself and 3 of my bros will be there Jan 2. We will be wearing Steeler garb and if any of this shit happens to us or any other Steeler fan, there will be hell to pay. Count on it.

I was embarrassed that these supposed adults caused some young people's parents to leave the game early due to their behavior.
You defending bad behavior with the excuse "So I take it you've never gone over the speed limit, or littered, or done anything illegal in your whole life" is no real surprise.
Lol it's an NFL football game, not church...get the fuck over it.
"oh my god these guys are cussing and dipping, lets get outta here!" don't come to an NFL football game if you expect to see Father Dan give a sermon on God. -
Go4alOngbOmBCleveland Browns Stadium has incorperated a "Family Zone" In the stadium to quell a lot of this behavior. Extra ushers in these upper deck seats ensure that you get a fan friendly experience and there is no beer allowed to be consumed or taken in to that section. They arent bad seats, you dont get the ignorant drunks up there (they wont even let you stumble to your seat if you show up hammered, they will escort you to another section where you can "stand" and watch the game) and Ive actually seen someone ushered out of there for laying down to many f bombs. Personally if I were an opposing fan, I would look into getting those seats. It makes for a very positive gameday expeience in my opinion.
On the situation...its awful, Im ashamed at the fact that some people are THAT out of control. If the story is true, then they should find the guy and lock im up for assult, make him pay for his ignorance and inability to control his alcaholic beverage intake.
On the flip side of the coin. If I go walking into a stadium wearing a Browns jersey, I would expect to be treated like crap. I would expect the verbal abuse, and I would expect to be taunted and harassed.
I like to throw a few back in the parking lot before a Browns game, and tip a few more back when I get there (though at 8 bucks a freaking beer who can afford more than 2?) but I have never been to the point where I would want to tackle another fan....let alone a KID.
It only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole damn bunch! -

Whether it's said 3 times or 500 times should not matter. If you're gonna tell me it's not okay to cuss, but it is okay to cuss after the opposing team scores a TD, i'm gonna say that's bullshit.
There is a fine line between using it spontaneously after a big play (not that it's okay) and using it to taunt a player or to just yell an obscenity.
Team scores a TD - "Fuck Yea!!!" Somewhat understandable
Fan yells before 3rd and long - "Mark Sanchez you're a fucking pussy" Totally uncalled for. -

capone, i'll be there too...I'm going to throw up in your face -
DeyDurkie5as far as cuss words, go fuck yourself...they are words, and if you can't go there and block out the language, you shouldn't be taking your kids anywhere in public for that matter. I bet you are the guys who take their kid to a bar, and get upset when someone is drinking a beer in their face. PUSSIES

And I get that..but it says in the rule book you can't use profanity....so why is it okay to say it "when it's called for?" -

Look I know what to expect at a sporting event. I have no problem with it for the most part, but everyone can identify those fans that just go too far. -

Please explain why an 8 year old should not be able to come to a football game and be able to enjoy it without people puking, passing out and verbally abusing other people simply because of what tem they are a fan of? Believe it or not...parents do not want their small children exposed to this type of behavior, and with good reason as it is not age appropriate. You may have children one day and understand this....although, if that is the case, I pray to God that you either grow up or don't procreate.SportsAndLady;562552 wrote:Lol it's an NFL football game, not church...get the fuck over it.

There are places for that type of behavior and 8 year olds are not allowed into them...this is for good reason. -

Then..uh..don't bring them to an NFL game? -

We're going by the rulebook here dynasty. According to the rules that wkfan posted, there is no profanity allowed. So anything after ONE cuss word, is going too far. -
NonSportsAndLady;562534 wrote:Oh really? Typical? So since I'm a Browns fan, soon as I leave work in about an hour I'm gonna shove an 8 year old kid over?
I bet most of the Browns fans on this board are the same as this guy.
It's the Cleveland way. Be an idiot. Rock the boat. And look to take out your frustration by running onto the field, throwing bottles or tackling a kid. -

You are missing the point.....why should I not be able to if I choose to?SportsAndLady;562577 wrote:Then..uh..don't bring them to an NFL game?
When did professional sports become adults only?
Especially when the entire league is stating that this type of behavior is not wanted. -
thedynasty1998Now I'm starting to side with S&L. The drunken behavior is fine. If someone pukes, then they are probably being escorted out of the game. But to think that a football stadium should be suitable for children to not experience that stuff is just naive. Fans are passionate. Sundays are sacred for NFL fans. You party. You enjoy yourself. You trash talk. Is there a fine line? Sure. But obnoxious behavior is encouraged.

Back the fuck up dude. You don't actually believe that. I know and you know better. -

It's not OK. It's understandable. I read that he could understand why someone would do it then. He didn't state it was O.K..
I really don't care either way but if it's defined as unacceptable according to the Browns and the NFL then it should be enforced. -

Passionate = drunk boors? Is that how it works in your world???thedynasty1998;562588 wrote:Now I'm starting to side with S&L. The drunken behavior is fine. Obnoxious behavior is encouraged....by who?? -

By the home team. On a third and 1, the team wants the fans to scream as loud as they can and make noise. I would define that as obnoxious behavior. Where else is that encouraged?
And yes, sometimes passionate does mean drunken boors.
I get what you are saying, but you have to know what to expect at an NFL game. I agree that certain people take it too far, but in general I think most fans behavior would be deemed acceptable. -
Art ModellThis is what happens when your sports teams haven't done anything for 40 some years. Instead of feeling proud for your team you use the game as another excuse to get your trailer park asses drunk again. Mistake by the Lake continues.

Are you talking about Cleveland games where the Browns fans sell out Paul Brown Stadium? -
NonI've been a lot of different stadiums and I'd say Cleveland fans are the worst as far as getting in people's faces for no real reason.
A lot of home fans will boo the opposing fans when they're walking around before the game or if those fans start celebrating and getting cocky while their team is having success, but Cleveland fans are the worst for wanting to start something with normal, decent folks who aren't stirring up anything. That's just being assholes.
I think it's the bitterness of being in such a toilet city that constantly loses.
