Young Jets fan roughed up

If you bounce them but a Cleveland fan who trolls Steeler threads gets to stay....well, they would be playing favorites and proving that it's not really about getting rid of trolls. Rather, it would show that you're only trying to get rid of the trolls who bash your team but the troll(s) who cheer for your team get to stay.

Basically, it would be like JJ's was. And that would be a damn shame.
Completely agree. I'm not on Pittsburgh threads unless they play the Browns, so I really don't know who trolls over there, though I imagine CoA is one of them.

Also, it's disappointing that Non has gone off the deep end. Used to be able to bring some knowledge and conversation to a thread, now it's just all the time trolling.

somebody called into Rizzo and said the story is exaggerated
a guy was playing catch with his buddies and was going after the ball and ran into the kid

    There, mystery solved.

I had no doubt it was exaggerated from the get go. A scraped knee doesn't equal being tackled by an adult. I figured the guy was drunk and fell into the kid.

I haven't really decided at what age I will take my kids to Browns games. I know I wish I would have been able to go to them when I was a kid but at the same time I know how rowdy they can get. If/when I do take them I would definitely consider sitting in the family section where things are more tame. And I would NEVER take them into the Muni Lot until they were at least in high school. Even then it would likely be to stop by a tailgate and have some food or see some people. I wouldn't tailgate in the traditional sense(i.e. drink) with them around which makes me wonder why this guy and his kid were even in the lot to begin with. There are plenty of other places to park near the stadium.

    Now this makes sense..

Funny thing is...if somebody did a saliva test of all Browns & Steeler fans you'd find a very close genetic match and common IQ in the 65 - 70 range.

was this helmet to helmet contact? jk anyway it sounds way more plausible that the guy was going for a pass and ran into the kid as the father didnt call the police.

I expect the fan to get a fine from Goodell.

Not sure if it's the truth but to me it makes a lot more sense than what this woman is claiming happened. Someone tackles your kid and instead of finding a police officer (which are all over the place) you decide it's best to just leave? As if there was some angry mob that was then going to stomp the kid while he was down? As I said before..if my friends or family had seen someone actually tackle a child they would beat the dudes ass whether he was a fellow Browns fan or not. This article makes it sound like there was a circle of guys trying to beat up a kid.

Again...if the the article is true and this incident happened exactly as they say there is NO excuse for that behavior. But I've tailgated a lot and have never seen anything close to this dumb occur.

i agree....someone would have called the police even if the father didnt....it just makes more sense that the kid got knocked down than tackled. like judge judy would say if it doesnt make sense....its not true

The kid is just an attention whore.
  • j_crazy
cowherd just said if anyone can get in touch with the kid, he (colin) will pay for the whole family to attend a Jets game with front row seats/food/whatever the kid wants.

Capone and one of his brothers. If you see these guys be sure NOT to fuck with them or there WILL be hell to pay. Count on it.

^^^LOL...anyway, I'll make the challenge again: Art Modell, if you have the cajones, post on this thread where your seats are for the Jan. 2 game you'll allegedly be attending, and we'll see how badass you really are (and maybe justin will even make it a sticky until gametime) ;)

    Let's get a browns/steelers tailgate/boozefest going for that jan 2nd game...talk about epic

The point of my reply was not to threaten Art at all. It was hopefully to open his eyes a little bit. I mean I know he was nothing but a festering sore on a message board, but if he actually THOUGHT he would throw around the trash in a face to face situation, with 40,000 enemies standing there? Yea...right. That dude needed a reality pill and FAST. It would take more than 3 brothers to pull the 40 people who I'm sure would be on him, fueled by alcohol, to help him NOT get his ass beat into his face.

I honestly hope he doesn't try to pull that stunt, because every scenario that I've run through my head comes out with a bad ending for him and his family.

O'Doyle, I have a feeling your entire family is going down....

I was just at the Steelers-Patriots game Sunday. New England fans around me were having fun, cheering..nothing happened to them at all. Good natured taunting and even congratulations and hand shakes after the game. Not saying that happened all over the stadium but certainly did around me.

While sitting and minding my own business at a Browns game, I had a glass beer bottle thrown at me (nice job by security letting that one in) and a drunk asshole try to pour his beer on me, but missed and poured it on an older woman sitting in front of me in Browns gear. I've been to Cleveland, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Cincy, Indy, New England and San Diego. Cleveland fans BY FAR are the worst out of those cities. There's not even a comparision.
