  He's actually hitting .286 this year. Pointing out specific parts of the season to prove how bad someone is, makes you look bad. Like I said, I could call Pujols bad because he struggled for a few weeks.

  I get it, you're a die hard Reds fan, and it's tough for you to watch them get smoked at home by the Cards...but what Phllips did was nothing more than immature and attention whoring. First rule in sports trash-talking is that you don't do it if you can't back it up on the field. Now if he comes up with some runners on and hits a bomb or something, then it changes things...until that happens, he's a little bitch.

  Phillips can back it up on the field, just because he had a rough 3 games doesn't mean jack squat other than he struggled against 3 of the better pitchers in the league. That is my point.
  
  And it's not tough for me to watch them get smoked, because it's only 3 games out of 164 games; and the last 10 seasons, on August 10th the Reds have been irrelevant, so the fact that they are a game back of first, even though 3 days ago they were in first, doesn't make me mad at all.

I never minded the Reds and liked to see them do well, but this huge *****fest about the Cardinals is getting a little ridiculous. Beat them on the field, then worry about beating them in the media. You guys are defending Brandon Phillips to the death for "speaking his mind" as he plays terribly in one of the biggest series he has ever played in and may have psyched himself out with his comments. Come on. Focus on the game. Sure, the Cards, may complain about things. While it doesn't make them right, it also isn't right to go to the media and call them *****es. Beat them on the field.

  Well we agree on a few things. My point is that you don't talk unless you can back it up, and he hasn't. I do hope the Reds keep this Division close and the 2 teams somehow end up in the playoffs (with one getting the Wildcard)...there's a lot of ball to be played.
