Brandon Phillips calls the St Louis Cardinals "Bitches"

Cuerto, and Phillips fwiw, come off as being little bitches in all this. Cuerto looks especially bad, nothing cheaper than kicking someone in the back with spikes. Should get a decent suspension.dat dude;448130 wrote:Was Cuerto the only one pinned up against a padded wall? I'm pretty sure Carpenter was too and he wasn't flailing kicks like a 15 year old.
So Cuerto was kicking people in the back with metal spikes to protect himself, correct? LOL, give me a break. The guy just went off like a bitch, clearly trying to kick a Cardinal player who was yelling at him. And that "brick" wall has a fair amount of padding, does it not? He had no need to do that, he would have been just fine like the other 5 people who were slammed into the padded wall and pinned back.
Damnit, it's Cueto, you bitch.dat dude;448180 wrote:A fight like what? Was there even a punch thrown? Looked like a lot of pushing and shoving to me. He, by far, was the only one who rose above the typical pushing and shoving level.
And Cuerto also had plenty of Reds' players to his direct right. Bottom line, no need to kick and flail like he did.
And I fail to see how the Cardinals "bitches" were trying to pin him up against the padded wall. Nobody gave two shits about Cuerto until he went on his kicking temper tantrum. He would have been just fine. -

Wrong.
Molina started this shit by kicking BP's bat. -
karen lotzPhillips started this shit by calling the Cards bitches and then trying to act like everything was cool the next day.

Maybe Molina should have thicker skin? People are always saying that on here when someone complains about something someone else says. -

Yeah! Listen to this bitch! -
karen lotzYeah maybe. Maybe Phillips should have said the line about hating the Cards and left it at that. There was no reason to call them out for being bitches when the Reds haven't won SHIT. Just not smart at all.

It's his opinion, I really don't see a problem with it. I love that he is willing to speak his mind and hold nothing back. Same with Votto. The Reds have been so irrelevant for so long and have never really shown any passion or fire so it's a nice change. -

Joe Morgan was just on SVP show and said basically same thing I did. He was fine with Phillips coming out and saying he hated the Cards and maybe that's what the young Reds team needed to hear since this is really their first real deep pennant race. His choice of words could have been a little better. The hate thing is fine, I wish more pro athletes would take that approach but calling a team a bunch of bitches that has been to the playoffs 8 times since the Reds last trip just doesn't make sense.
An interesting thing I noticed in the scrum yesterday was Votto's involvement. He was about 5 feet away from everyone and wasn't really in there mixing it up. Rolen was right in the middle of it as was Phillips obviously, just thought it was odd that Votto wasn't really involved given his leadership role. -
TigerNation10^LOL @ the video.

What does them going to the playoffs 8 times have anything to do with them being bitches? -

Nothing, my point is the Cardinals have actually done something to warrant running their mouths if they so choose. What have the Reds done? They got into a 1 game playoff a decade ago. There is a way to win and a way to lose. Reds haven't figured out either way it seems.
Phillips has really been backing up his talk this series. 1 for 12 is quality. -

I agree. Tom Brady is the biggest, whiniest, crybaby b in the NFL and he has a few Super Bowl rings. Just because you win doesn't make you immune to comments like this. -

Running your mouth != whining about things -
justincredibleIf the Cards want to run their mouths about things, yeah, they've earned that right. Phillips didn't say anything about them being arrogant or talking smack. He commented that they like to bitch and moan about things not going their way.

Was Phillips running his mouth? What have the Reds or Brandon Phillips done? -
justincrediblePujols whines that Masset pumped his fist after striking him out. Big whoop. What pitcher doesn't pump his fist after a huge strikeout?
Carpenter whines that the balls aren't rubbed down to his satisfaction at GABP. Big whoop. Why do you get to decide how much much the balls are rubbed down?
These are examples of incidents that fueled Phillips comment. -

They have done something to warrant running their mouths? They are tied for first place in the NL Central with the Reds. Just because they've been to the playoffs this decade doesn't mean they're somehow accessible to trash talking.
Phillips has backed up his talk by being named an all-star..being 1 for his last 12 just means he has struggled in 2 1/2 games. Pujols must be awful because in July he was hitless in 18 at bats, right? -

LaRussa asking the ump to check under Arroyo's cap, and finding nothing illegal. LaRussa wanting a TEN GAME suspension for Aaron Harang for an unintentional pitch to the head area. Just to name a few more. We could go on and on. -
karen lotzBiggest Series of the Century for the Reds. All Star lead off man goes 1-12. Yes, he is really proving his worth.

Keep them coming. Bitching about people bitching is great. -

Forgot about those. The Harang thing was incredibly laughable. -

2 1/2 games? Isn't he hitting around .215 since the All-Star break? He's a little bitch who just wants attention, call it what it is. -
