Ever been to Toronto? Toronto is a really cool place. However, all they care about is hockey and who wants to go through customs every week?Pick6;413263 wrote:I dont get why he doesnt want to be in cleveland for the winters...HELLO HE PLAYS IN TORONTO NOW
I don't think anyone would argue that Cleveland is a better city than Toronto. -
dazedconfusedi don't think there is a place in the world where i wouldn't go for an extra 30 million

Yeah, his reasons arent so much the cold (hes lying if he says so)...because he is trying for Chicago. I have been to Chicago way to often in the winter and that place blows weather wise in the winter months. -

No doubt. Especially if you get to play with the 2 time MVP in the process. -
IggyPride00They (Bosh and Toronto) are playing a big game of chicken right now to see who will blink first. Bosh will not walk away from the $30 million I don't think, but if he really doesn't want to come to Cleveland is Toronto ready to get nothing for him if he goes to Miami (who they supposedly don't want to deal with).
If he does wind up in Cleveland, I wonder if he will negotiate the opt-out after 3 years into his deal as we know Lebron will. That would be a circus to say the least having your 2 stars be able to walk away if you aren't winning championships.
The opt-out is just an insurance policy for Bron, which is why I think he will demand it regardless of who else they bring in as if things are good its a non-issue, and if they aren't winning then he probably should move on. Bosh seems to have a bit of an ego as well, and I can't see him agreeing to 6 years with no opt-out knowing Lebron could hypothetically leave him after 3 years if the partnership is not working.
Gilbert would give up a first born to get both of their signatures right now, but I hate the instability the opt-outs bring as we saw how it created a side show with Lebron. With Bosh and Lebron, it will be even that much worse next time around if they don't win a ring in short order. -

I agree with this and most of what you have said. However, the Cavs with Lebron would be picking pretty low in the draft so the time to develop young guys that you mentioned previously might not happen anyways. I think they would either be buried in the depth chart or be prospects like Kid Congo. I agree about the opt out clause but I think holding the franchise hostage and having these continuous blow ups will be the way of the Cavs. We may get lucky if we have a pick in the draft and find a young guy to contribute as I think Green will, but an influx of young impact players won't happen if we are always picking #20+ in the draft. Otherwise most of the roster will be developed through these trades and expiring contracts IMO -

Good Lord. Win one title and be done with it. Who gives a shit if they both walk after 3 years. The Cleveland jokes will finally be over.IggyPride00;413315 wrote:They (Bosh and Toronto) are playing a big game of chicken right now to see who will blink first. mucalum49RT @Chris_Broussard: Bosh has not softened stance on Cleveland at all. Looks like he won't be a Cav.
Not saying he is right or wrong but I wonder if this is directly from Bosh since he didn't include the infamous "Sources say" before it. -
newarkcatholicfanBosh is a smart man if this holds to be true.
-
like_thatCome on LeBron. Really? A fucking hour long show to announce your decision? That's ridiculous, I am sorry.
-
KR1245I agree. I'm sure something will leak before his annoucement...........at least I hope so

Wish SQ was around to say he isn't looking for any attention in this whole process. I didn't really think he was until this. His reps contacted ESPN to do this, not the other way around -
newarkcatholicfanThe drama queen really has some hidden issues.

KR1245I'll be curious to see where he decides to do it.

grodtJust to play devil's advocate but he is selling all the ad time and donating it to the Boys and Girls Club. So he's using everyone's interest to help the kids. Or you could just think he's a selfish narcissist, you're call

That is great of him to do that, and I guess we should keep in mind that Thursday is the first day he could actually sign somewhere, but he is torturing us! He can donate some of that $125 million he is going to sign for. -
KR1245haha. Do we need 3 threads about this?
