Cavs/Bulls 4: The Death of Noah
-
wes_mantoothLooking for the Cavs to bounce back and give the Bulls and that ugly mofo a big time ass thumpin.
Thoughts? -
just_a_swimmerI hope so. I would like to see a double digit total domination game today.
Go Cavs -
THE4RINGZCavs have to play some D on D. Rose. You can let a team like Da Bulls hang close in these games. Apparently they don't care that they are playing the best team in the NBA.
-
KR1245Clamp down on defense early and take them out of their game. There is no reason why the Cavs should have been losing to that team by 20 points. The comeback was nice and all but they shouldnt have been in that positon, they are too good.
I'd like to see Mo or Delonte pick up their defense a little bit. I know that Rose is tough but at least make it tough on the kid, hes going wherever he wants.
Go Cavs -
BR1986FBCavs big men better get their heads out of their asses and pick up their skirts or they will be returning to Cleveland in the same boat as the Lakers. Pretty fortunate to be leading this series, IMO.
-
wes_mantoothI still think the Cavs take care of the Bulls in 5 games, but I have been very impressed with the Bulls. Even in their losses, they have fought the entire game and played well. If they can add a guy like Joe Johnson or some other shooter, they will be a tough out for anyone for several years.
-
KR1245I also think that JJ needs to get some more minutes. Z and Shaq are struggling with that quicker frontcourt, give JJ some time and see what he can do.
-
RotinajI think Lebron should just man up and start the game guarding D Rose and get him out of his rhythm early. Putting Lebron on him after hes hit like 5 shots in a row and is on fire wont work.
-
ytownfootballCount me in as one who thinks JJ needs his minutes...this is where I start to question Mike Brown. Obviously Shaq and Z struggle against a younger, quicker front court and JJ would bring the athleticizm needed to meet it head on and cause havoc. True, he's not as defensively polished for the play-offs, but being "polished" as Diesel and Z are...and a step behind, does us no fuckin' good. C'mon Brownie, give JJ some time, the worst that can happen is JJ gets in foul trouble and you put in Z and Shaq.
-
Fly4FunI agree with the others... we need some young blood in the front court to help out with the quickness of the bulls.
-
THE4RINGZDid anyone see what Dan Coughlin said about Shaq on the 10 o'clcok news last night? He mentioned something along the lines of that at Shaq's age, we didn't get all we expected to get when we signed him.
So I agree with using him as a role player and not the feature Big Man in the line up. -
SQ_CraziesIf LeBron guards Rose (and doesn't just stand there and watch him run past like the other day--head scratcher) they should win by 15+.
They're literally getting everything off of his penetration right into the middle of the lane. Without that, I'm not sure what they'll be able to do. -
burt07I'm currently in Chicago, what kind of offers do I have to go "Celtic Pride" with Joakim.
-
SQ_CraziesI'll throw 12 bucks to you. Then you can go back to the good site.
-
devil1197This just isn't a series for Shaq.
Wait until he goes against Perkins, Howard, and Bynum. He'll be playing 30 mpg unless he gets in foul trouble.
I like the lineup of LeBron/Moon/AV/Jamison/Williams or West. We'll be bigger with more athleticism. This will allow LeBron to guard Rose if needed.
Cavs saw what happened to LAL last night, they will come out prepared. -
hoops23Whether it's the series for Shaq or not, he needs to play to get the rust off and get his wind back.
With that said, he should get around 20 minutes, because JJ NEEDS to play. -
Pick6Why in the hell is Brown hardly playing Hickson? That no playoff experience excuse is bull. Most of the players on the Thunder are in their 1st series against the defending champions and they are doing just fine. Dont go away from what was working.
-
SQ_CraziesI think it has a lot to do with them assuming they'd roll the Bulls either way and trying to get Shaq as many minutes as they can right now.
-
BRFI enjoyed reading ALL the comments so far. It seems that there is general agreement about what needs to be done. Let's Go Cavs!
-
SQ_CraziesYeah, I'm in agreement. I think JJ should be playing too but I think he's going to--I really believe that what I said is what is going on. If they lose today, I bet you see a lot of JJ in game 5.
-
KR1245
Agreed. This confuses me. In the regular season Mike Brown will play certain guys based on matchups. When he gets to the playoffs he plays a roation and sticks with it. I understand that you shorten the rotation during the playoffs but we need JJ out there. I'm not saying to play the kid 30 minutes a game but at least throw him out there to match their quickness.Pick6 wrote: Why in the hell is Brown hardly playing Hickson? devil1197JJ isn't going to play against the elite teams later in the playoffs. Could he produce, yes but he will have to take minutes from Shaq/AJ/AV/Z. Plus, Cleveland is running more rotations with Bron at the 4, so minutes are already reduced among Shaq and Z.
I would like him to play but Brown has never been known to get his rotations/subbing right consistently. -
Footwedge
You've been saying this for months now. If Brown plays Shaq and Z more than 25 minutes combined against the Magic, the Cavs will get blown off the court.devil1197 wrote: JJ isn't going to play against the elite teams later in the playoffs. You should take off your blinders and realize the realities that Shaq is washed up and over the hill. Dwight Howard and company will destroy the Cavs with Shaq out there.
Brown needs to wake up and make the adjustment. It's not Ferry's fault nor Brown's fault that Shaq has regressed so far. But he has. He stunk for Phoenix too. Phoenix went into the tank with Shaq on the floor. -
hoops23Footwedge, Dwight Howard and the Magic haven't destroyed us with Shaq out there yet.
Unlike last year, when they made us their bitch. -

Just a thought......but when you make intelligent (imo) posts like that, more credence will be given to you with a different avatar!devil1197 wrote: JJ isn't going to play against the elite teams later in the playoffs. Footwedge: I believe that the sole reason we got Shaq was to mug on Howard when it gets to that.
Go Cavs!
