Yes he's done fantastic. I do think he's missed a couple though. As for Mo Williams, what's up with that?LTrain23 wrote: Antawn has been beasting these playoffs. I don't think he's missed a FT either. -
Cleveland BuckMuch like the whole Poon Tawn ordeal, I see where you are coming from, but I'm not willing to go as far as you are. Shaq has been awful in this series because he can't hit his little hook shots and can't get anyone in foul trouble. That is the only way he can be effective, because his one-on-one defense is bad and his pick-and-roll defense is atrocious. He has to be able to score some points and put some fouls on the other team's big men. He couldn't hit much of anything for the first few months of the season either, then during the 13 game winning streak and up until we got PTJ, he was scoring the ball and playing like we need him to. Then he got hurt. We just have to hope he is just rusty and still adjusting to the repaired thumb, and shortly here he can start making some shots.

Mike Brown, post game conference. LOLAndy and Shaq had two fouls late in the first quarter or early second. I knew I wanted to go with him (Hickson) if it came down to needing another big. We looked for him to buy us a few minutes and he did. After game three, I felt I needed to have Shaq on the floor more but he got in foul trouble.
Thank God MB is coaching the team and not one of us, right FW? -
devil1197BAWHAhAHAHAHAHAHA

wes_mantoothlol...I read this entire thread...
I thought everyone would be "happy-go-lucky" after a solid win...not pissing and moaning over Shaq..lol -

What an idiot you are...LOL... Your bud said after the 3rd foul...not the second foul. that's why I told him he was wrong. Because he was wrong.SQ_Crazies wrote:

ytownfootballWedge ya friggin tool...BROWN TOOK HIM OFF THE FLOOR BECAUSE HE WAS IN FOUL TROUBLE....NOT BECAUSE HE WAS SUCKIN'.

Sorry Wes. I am happy as a pig in shit at today's results. Really I am. I posted that I'm not happy with Shaq though. And the usual crowd wanted to argue the point. And even though I'm the consumate gentleman here on the Chatter, I just thought I would offer some dissenting "food for thought".wes_mantooth wrote: lol...I read this entire thread...

It was a great win...and a very important win. And we had 6 guys that played absolutely great..and one guy that didn't.
Much kudos go out to Jamison, West. Mo, LBJ, Andy and Parker. -
hoops23Jamison ='s Tar Heel..
I also love Jamisons recent comments about the fans of Cleveland and how starved he and the fans both are to win a championship.. Good article about it. -
SQ_CraziesBut Shaq doesn't get credit in this team victory from a guy who is all about +/-, and Shaq was +. But he didn't help us win. Clearly even you now think your thoughts on +/- are flawed or else you don't make any sense.
-
wes_mantooth^^^I don't have a problem with everyone disagreeing over Shaq, I just love how no one can accept someone's opinion.....if it doesn't match up with theirs...haha
-
devil1197Are you guys talking about the same Jamison that was to not be played during the playoffs?
-
Footwedge
Muhahahaha. He had 2 fouls in the first 6 minutes or so....and sat his ass down for the whole first half.ytownfootball wrote: Wedge ya friggin tool...BROWN TOOK HIM OFF THE FLOOR BECAUSE HE WAS IN FOUL TROUBLE....NOT BECAUSE HE WAS SUCKIN'.
Then Shaq went out of the game, the Cavs were losing. When the half ended, the Cavs were up 10 points. See a pattern here yet?
Game 3....Shaq left the floor early in the 3rd with the Cavs down 20 points...never to return. Ther Cavs lost by 2 points. Still don't see a pattern here?
Lebron says that Shaq has to improve his game in the post game wrap up show. And then says the Cavs need to get Hickson on the court.
Still no pattern here? -
SQ_CraziesLink to where LeBron said they need to get Hickson on the floor for Shaq?
-

lol. No, this is a different Jamison.devil1197 wrote: Are you guys talking about the same Jamison that was to not be played during the playoffs? -

Like I said, there were 6 guys that played like champs today. I mean champs. And there was one that...well..didn't play very well.SQ_Crazies wrote: But Shaq doesn't get credit in this team victory from a guy who is all about +/-, and Shaq was +. But he didn't help us win. Look up the post game comments at Cavs.com. I heard him say it..I'm not gonna do your leg work for you.SQ_Crazies wrote: Link to where LeBron said they need to get Hickson on the floor for Shaq? -

LeBron said that JJ needs MORE pt, he NEVER said he wanted him in place of Shaq.SQ_Crazies wrote: Link to where LeBron said they need to get Hickson on the floor for Shaq?
whoever said that is just twisting things. -

I see a pattern alright, and it doesn't have anything to do with the Cavs.Footwedge wrote:

What is so hard for you yo understand about Brown getting Shaq minutes for the series to come? Is it some form of metaphysical gibberish you can't grasp? Or, is it the fact that if this pile of shit sticks to the wall you'll be able to continue to have wet dreams about being Skip Bayless? -
SQ_CraziesLOL...no, I'm not going to waste my time on a wild goose chase for shit that isn't there.

Its there.SQ_Crazies wrote: LOL...no, I'm not going to waste my time on a wild goose chase for shit that isn't there. -
devil1197Let's clear up some Wedge false statements once again.
FACT: Shaq played in the 2nd quarter of today's game. He played from the start of the 2nd to the 7:56 mark when LeBron entered for him. Cleveland was leading 32-30. Cleveland expanded the lead to 10 at the end of the 2nd. Shaq did not leave the 2nd quarter down with Cleveland losing, false statement!
FACT: Shaq started the 3rd quarter, Cleveland up 10. He left at the 6:37 mark with Cleveland up 20. How can Cleveland expand their lead by 10 points with the terrible Shaq on the court?
FACT: Shaq started the 4th quarter but received a quick foul and never returned because Cleveland had curbstomped the Bulls already. There was simply no reason to play him, he doesn't pick up that foul he plays more minutes in the 4th quarter. Probably to the 6-7 minute mark like usual.
