Plaxico left on his ownOn January 23, 2005, after a playoff defeat, Burress announced his intentions to leave the Steelers. On March 17, he signed a six-year, $25 million contract with the New York Giants.[4] -

I wonder what nickname he would have on Jersey Shore. They are all douchebags, so that wouldn't differentiate him from the others.BR1986FB wrote:
I don't really count Reed's. If he's guilty of anything it's just being a douchebag. I'm waiting for him to be invited as a guest star on "Jersey Shore."LJ wrote:

I guess if Rooney doesn't like black people I guess he would hate one being President huh?
Oh...wait.... -
THE4RINGZTo call the Rooney family racist is silly and proves you are just looking to argue.
As I said earlier, save the race card for when it really applies. Ever hear the story about the boy who cried wolf? -

I think Tebow would be good for the Steelers. He might not make it with certain teams but in the right place I think he has a chance to be pretty good.LJ wrote:
I really hope that was a jokeNon wrote: I think they should trade Ben and try to get Tebow.
He made remarkable strides from the Senior Bowl to his Pro Day since tweaking his mechanics and experimenting with the higher release point. I think his athletic ability and survival instincts are on par with Ben when he came into the league. He'll be able to make plays and win games -- with a good team around him -- until the passing improves. -

Swamp FoxI think there is just this automatic rejection of Tebow. I don't understand it and I thing he will be a good professional quarterback. He has the instincts and with the right team, he will flourish.
-
NonThe other QBs in this draft are weak. Maybe in a different year there would be a better option but if the Steelers had a chance to take a QB in the first or second round I'd rather gamble on Tebow with all the intangibles and stuff that he brings to the table. If the Steelers played great defense like usual and they got back to running the ball more and then he also would run and pass, I think it would be a tough team, 10 wins consistently.

Speaking of validating, that just validates how big of a moron Bayless is. Like that's something that San Deigo would consider. The only player in the NFL they would even consider trading Rivers for would be Manning.Big Red Monster wrote: There was a discussion on ESPN this morning about whether or not Pittsburgh should think about trading Ben.

Big Red MonsterHe went on to say that San Diego would actually consider this given Ben's postseason record.
-
NonPlus he's a Florida guy that Ohio people hate so you know he'll win those battles.
Cleveland fans will despise him but he'll get the better of it. -
THE4RINGZI was biased against Tebow, simply because he played for UF I suppose. As the draft gets closer I seem to like him more and more playing for the Black and Gold.
I would also like to see the offense getback on track and feature the running game more this season. -

The fact that you are saying to trade a proven winner franchise quaterback in order to draft someone who hasn't even shown that he can work out from under center. That is the joke. I would say that would be one of the dumbest moves in football history.Non wrote:LJ wrote:Non wrote:

I don't see what the big joke is.
You wouldn't be specifically doing that.
You have a QB with serious issues that is tarnishing the reputation of your franchise. At some point I don't think it's even worth winning again with this guy leading the team. At the rate he's going he could end up in prison in another year or two.
I've been a big fan and I know it would be hard to accept, given the success and two Super Bowls, but I think the ship has sunk.
You're not going to trade him for one player but if you can get a package of picks then you would obviously take another QB to go along with Dixon and then another player high in the draft.
