Ben Roethlisberger will not be charged, according to ESPN sources

I doubt he gets suspended, maybe some mandatory counseling. I'm just glad it's over and the Steelers can move on.Non wrote: He's lucky.
I think he'll be suspended for four games. -
Strapping Young LadWin, win. The world now knows just what an immoral imbecile this idiot is (something many of us who live around PGH have already known for some time) and he gets to stay right where he belongs: Pittsburgh. With Minnesota looking for a young QB and having a history of taking on problems, I was afraid that dicklips could possibly end up in a Viks uni by the time it was all said and done.
-
AutomatikNo way he gets suspended. Time to move on and concentrate on football.
lol....you WISH Minny could get Roethlisberger. -

That's the long and short of it.thavoice wrote: From what I gather...she drunk chick went inot the bathroom with him......he entertained her....and then she called foul.
Still an idiot...
Be interesting to see public reaction, because I think that's going to determine if Ben is suspended, rightly or wrongly. Judging from this and some other haters boards I've seen, it's a good sign so far, but it's early. -

Put it this way. If MIN won the SB with fat ben at QB I wouldn't celebrate....Automatik wrote: No way he gets suspended. Time to move on and concentrate on football.

AutomatikUm ok?
He'd be an upgrade over any QB they've had in the last 5 years easily. Sure you don't like him as a person, but you can't deny thats hes a beast on the field. -
Strapping Young LadI'll take Favre. Hell I'll take anyone before Roethlisraper b/c what I'm saying to you is that even if they won the SB w/ a serial rapist at QB , that would ruin the experience for me. Get it??? Good.
-
AutomatikHow is he a serial rapist if wasn't convicted or charged of anything? Do you even know what rape is?
I know you enjoy stirring the pot, but c'mon do you even understand how the legal system works? -

Brett Favre?Automatik wrote: Um ok?

AutomatikYes, Brett Favre.

Let me elaborate.Automatik wrote: Yes, Brett Favre.
Brett Favre for the Vikings last year > Fat Ben -
wes_mantoothI like Bret, but he does what he always does.....makes that key mistake to end the season. Not a fan of Big Ben, but I would take him over Bret in a minute.

killer_ewokBen is a serial dumbass.

Sadly, I think you have to be, to be an NFL player. It is more the norm to be retarded......killer_ewok wrote: Ben is a serial dumbass. -

You should have seen a couple of threads on one of the Steelers boards I get on every so often. A few of them (posters) were condemning him, a few were kind of neutral and a few were acting as if they were cheering him on/congratulating him like a bunch of piss ant frat boys.killer_ewok wrote: Ben is a serial dumbass. -

Why did Gerard Warren pop into my head when you posted this?wes_mantooth wrote:

Dude is a helluva football player. Unfortunately, he makes ridiculous decisions off the field and puts himself in awful positions. He's got one last chance to get it right.....BR1986FB wrote:

NonI'd be up for trading him but after the pathetic Holmes trade the Steelers can't be trusted to get the right value.
-
BR1986FBI hate to admit this but I really like Terry Bradshaw. Not as a Steeler but for his TV work, movies and his humor. Apparently he and Ben don't see eye to eye....

I still think that was the Rooney's serving notice regardless of what else is said. Peter King said that Mike Tannenbaum (Jets) said this deal came about "Sunday and we jumped all over it" (not exact quote). So this "they have been shopping him (Holmes)" stuff I don't believe. They did pull the trigger VERY quickly getting that 5th rounder. I don't think it was a value thing. I think they just wanted him out...NOW.Non wrote: I'd be up for trading him but after the pathetic Holmes trade the Steelers can't be trusted to get the right value. -
wes_mantoothIt is a crap trade, but when you compare it to another troubled receiver( the Randy Moss trade), it seems about right. Holmes is damaged goods and is going to want big money next year....Pittsburgh very rarely make personnel blunders, so if I were a Steeler fan, I wouldn't worry.
-
BR1986FBBesides, with as many picks as they have, that 5th rounder could be used as ammo to move up for a player.

I'm honestly not worried about it.wes_mantooth wrote: It is a crap trade, but when you compare it to another troubled receiver( the Randy Moss trade), it seems about right. NonI have no doubt that it came about quickly.
The Steelers said today that there was a league-wide search and this was the best they could.
That's nonsense. The Jets only found out late Sunday and made the deal.
I called for him to be traded last week so I don't have a problem with getting rid of him but I don't like the idea of just being mad as hell and dumping him for whatever. I'd rather they take into account the direction of the team and the personnel. This was a little too emotional and rushed for me.
