It played 3 times early this morning. You're just a dumbfuck who forgot to set his DVR. They play it again this Saturday and Sunday.

Or you can just download the show from a torrent.

Well it took 2 episodes of sandy vaginas, but finally in the last minute, we get a hint of what might happen the second half of the season.

Agreed...the last episode could have been completely skipped except the final 2 minutes.

It would have been fine if the show wasn't so horrible every time they focus on, you know, actual survival. Most of the survival shows on tv are enjoyable and interesting, but on WD it's watching paint dry. Maybe they need to hire Bear Grylls writers.

    THIS!

The last episode was a god-awful waste of time. I told my girlfriend if this season is just going to be these knuckleheads wandering around aimlessly, starving and dying of thirst, then someone stop me now because there's ZERO point to watching the show anymore.

The last 2 minutes should have been the first 2 minutes of last night's episode, and then next week's episode should have been the remainder of last night's episode. Last night's episode was a complete utter waste of time.

It get they are trying to build the characters and the whole scene with them holding back the door in the barn, but come on. its been over a year since the zombies came, lets quit acting like anything surprises them and that all this death and destruction is a new concept.

I thought that whole barn door thing was a dream at first. Couldn't figure out while Daryl isn't calling anyone to help, and why one-by-one people realize what's going on and slowly meander over to help. Then after the tornado I guess they just went back to sleep.

    That scene was so cheesy.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with what I've been thinking/saying. I get it... it sucks and I'm sure it's hard when you lose someone. These guys have all become "family", and they're now a close nit group. But people... let's be realistic here... it's the f*cking zombie apocalypse. By now, I would expect these guys to all be NUMB to death. The sheering pouring out of emotions every time something tragic happens is getting to be ridiculous. These guys have been wandering a zombie-infested wasteland for over a year. What hope can they really have left? When someone dies, it's almost gotta be like, 'Good riddance... at least now you don't have to live in this sh!t hole we've all been living/fearing in for the past year-and-a-half.'

Seems like the writers try to humanize the characters to make them more relatable.

I definitely think that's what they're trying to do / know that's what they're trying to do. Idk. I guess I just put myself in that imaginative scenario, and I can't get past thinking that after a year and some change, I would become numb to all the killing/dying/death/suffering/pain around me. It would be so repetitive by that point, that I feel I would become emotionless when it came to killing a zombie or cutting someone arm off to prevent them from turning, etc.

This. It just like soldiers in a prolonged war.

I think something could be said for them finally thinking they have relief and hope to being pulled down yet again. The prison was a forever home, then it gets destroyed. The hope of the place Noah was talking about, just to find out some real shit went down.

They may be numb to it all, but then something possibly good gets snatched away, so they become human again before they harden back up.

I finally watched the episode last night, and I want to know who the hell this guy is NOW.

At this point, it's hard to hope or trust. I guess that's the point being made - you can't give up trying and hoping, but it's really hard not to.

I think reality is - and maybe not too far from what it would be - is that these communities would form and be pretty much closed to others outside of "replacement". I think it would be pretty common for "survival of the fittest" to prey (sometimes literally) on outsiders for supplies and ammunition. The problem you always come back to is food, water and supplies to sustain a population given the acreage you can secure to support that. If not for the Governor, Woodbury was probably on the right track.

You need to find something like an island or a fertile valley with natural barriers (mountains) that you can clear of a small number of walkers and then control/protect access easily at choke points.

I agree with this a lot. The communities that have been established have had man made boundaries that have failed.
    -The farm
    -The prison
    -Woodbury
    -Noah's place
    -Terminus

These were all man made that were either destroyed by outside groups or by the walkers. The hospital seemed to be functioning fairly well though too, so maybe a skyscraper is the answer.

Major problem with the skyscraper is you can be hemmed in (not to mention rivals could burn the whole thing down). You need easily defensible land where you can raise crops and livestock - I want food and water that I can defend.

Man-made barriers are fine, but they can be tough to maintain. It also leaves you susceptible to rival groups of people, but the only real protection against that is strength in numbers (which brings us back to having the resources to support that). Still, a remote island or valley surrounded by mountains would be tough to find, much less access by rival groups.

The prison, Woodbury and even Terminus all fell because of man - being overrun by walkers was a result of that breach.

There's plenty of both islands and valleys in the general area they're at/heading. There's plenty of islands along the Potomac.

We keep waiting to see when they're finally going to do a season where they find an island.
