The cops they caught and that whole story is a really interesting direction....but agree the other 90% of the show was garbage filler. I mean, they spent 5 fucking minutes on fishing.

I just hope that they get Carol and Beth out of there next episode and be done with it.

Mid-season finale...I wouldn't count on them escaping. That will be the cliff hanger for months I bet.

I actually thought that was the best episode out of the last 4...by far.

    Mute point

(before someone jumps me, I know the term is "moot" point. Snotbubbles said "mute" point on the radio, for millions to hear. OK, maybe hundreds. OK, maybe tens.)

Decent episode, below average. But I'd bet it was the best fiction on TV this week.
I enjoyed the skull used by Daryl as a bowling ball.

Did the millions hear it here or there?

    DERP. FML

Watching talking dead on dvr, Christian Serratos has some amazing cleavage.

Second best episode of the season. I get the contrast they tried to show between the DC group and the church group, but it really killed the mood in the episode watching them fish etc.

I concur with Snot. I thought it was the best of the last 4.

Episode went pretty fast to me. I figured someone was going to die but I thought it was going to be Carol. Good episode overall and can't wait until the 2nd half of the season. Looks like maybe they are trying to find a new place to call home.

lol....Morgan with the longest character tease in television history.

Beth dying was pretty good. First time in the entire show where a main character dying was actually well-done, dramatically - maybe not coincidentally they focused on Darryl's reaction. Although that was one hell of a quick draw, between the eyes from the hip.

Can't believe Rick just ran that guy down. He's turning into the governor.

Didnt care for Beth, so it wasn't a big deal to lose her for me.

I shouldn't have read the thread b/c I'm only about half way through the episode. But yeah, him running the guy over was sweet. I don't think Rick is turning into the governor, though. I don't think it's power, that Rick wants. I think he realizes it's a whole lot different than it was, and what he intended, back at the prison. I think he realizes that he needs to take care of his own, first, and eliminate any threat. He told the guy... all you had to do was stop. He gave him an out. They attempted to let them save their own lives. It was the idiot who decided to run. He did it to himself. The governor would have just eliminated him without the option, IMO.

That's a pretty good take. I agree. Though we could debate about once you blur/cross those lines. I think a lot of what you described applies to the governor, or at least how he probably was earlier on.

Good episode. They know what they're doing. A good premier, a good mid-season finale, then it will be a good re-premier and a great finale. Just enough good episodes in the beginning and end of each season to keep me watching all of the "blah" episodes that fill the middle.

    Fuckers.

Just finished the episode. Beth deserved what she got. Dumb bitch. The deal was done

Maybe this was just me but it was almost like that female cop liked her liked her. To me there was a weird tension there.

    Maybe it's your lesbian sense.

I kind of thought that, too. Just chalk it up to more sub-standard writing and acting that defines the show.

Beth said she "gets it"....I still don't. I can't figure out that whole guard/ward dynamic. I can only guess that the guards run things, and basically divide up tasks. So if you don't have a ward, then you're on your own to get your work done. Some sort of a two-class system, I guess (which is probably why the uniforms - basically running a prison).

The one guard said "when are you going to tell her who she really works for?". I thought that was left too vague, or it was smack-you-in-the-face obvious and I'm giving them too much credit reading into it.

I thought the hospital would be more interesting. Ended-up being pretty lame. At least they've moved on already.

Surprised only the black kid decided to go with Rick when he offered

At least I wasn't the only one. Then the cop teared up when talking to Beth. Just a weird dynamic there.

I was too at first, then I think they thought that without Dawn they were thinking that the security of the hospital they would be safe and BS would be over with. I was unsure what Doc was going to do.
