    We combined clans with Trojan and his friends....they had a guy from work with them that bought a TH10 but was TERRRIBLE at attacks...and even worse wouldn't attack down to get stars. So he would pull us into wars we weren't supposed to be in. After trying to be nice about it, I finally let loose on him and it created mass butt hurt among him and Trojans friends(whom some I know in real life)....They all left the clan...Trojan stayed...we won like 10 straight.

    Saved gems from achievements to get 3rd and 4th builders (just got 4th) then I decided to just go and buy my 5th builder. First real $$ I have ever seen on one of these games.

    I waited until I had nothing to upgrade to take TH to 6. I am so glad I did because the amount of elixir and gold I get on just a barch raid now is WAY lower. However, my defenses are way better already with 2 mortars and 2 wiz towers. So I keep my resources.

    I will stay with 3 builders. To me, it's a waste of gems. I don't play long enough or intense enough to have enough gold/elixir to keep most of them building. It takes forever these days for things to upgrade, so there's always a builder for me.

    I'd rather use my gems for speeding things up, especially the double resource days.

    Keeping builders busy is just a function of how much you raid to get resources. If you can raid 5+ times a day, you probably have enough (with the collectors adding in) to keep 5 busy.

    I'm guessing that as things take longer to build/upgrade that keeping 5 builders busy would be even easier. Right now nothing takes less than 1d. When it is all taking 5+ days each upgrade keeping 5 busy shouldn't be that hard to do.

    I have some ideas, but want to hear some others before I give my opinion (very noob opinion at that).

    Best use/placement of the air sweeper...and go...

    I had 4000 gems so I got the 5th builder, but I rarely have enough resources to use them all.

    Not sure at what level you are playing, but if you are TH9 or TH10, I think it needs to be somewhat centralized, but kept away from the AQ...then, pointed in a direction that would best disrupt a lava attack.

    This would help prevent GoLava attacks (where 1-2 golems and heroes are sent in to get CC/AQ/ADs, then a lavaloon attack comes next).

    Overall, I'm finding the sweeper to be not much of a problem for air raids...I either take it out in the beginning with the golem/hero hybrid start, or you just come from behind it and work clockwise/counter clockwise around the base.

    TH6, just building it for the first time (just finished the TH6 upgrade 2 days ago). I immediately put the new WT and mortar down, now looking for a good idea on how/where to use the air sweeper.

    yeah I have 4. its really only useful right after a townhall upgrade when you are building a lot of new stuff. Now that its take 2.5 to 3 million gold and elixir to upgrade, i really may only have 2 or 3 builders going.

    I didn't really want to move my base around too much. i just plopped it down in area that may not be as covered by the air defense and have it blowing out of the base. i rarely air attacked, so i haven't really been able to see how it works one way or another.

    Great, new/better spells to make defense harder in wars. No defense upgrades? Well, lvl 5 drag in CC technically can be a defense upgrade.

    Haste spell would work well with GoWiPe with how slow those 3 troops move.

    Now, what would be nice is if you could build traps that would trigger spells for defense. A trap that you have to load (like xbows and inferno towers) but load it with a spell. The poison spell or lightning spell would be the two obvious ones...

    Now THAT would be a nice defensive gesture.

    A lot of the defensive buildings got a hitpoint boost, plus the 2nd air sweeper will be problematic for air attacks. The hitpoint boost stuff was leaked out yesterday. Also, supposedly hero AI has been improved and they won't be so dumb with attacking walls (we'll see how much this changes, they've said this before)

    But, haste will be awesome for air attacks since loons don't need the damage boost, and you can take twice as many.

    Twice as many balloons? Did their space drop from 5?

    So the same number of troops, but I could take for example (as a TH10): 1 jump 1 poison for hero entry and CC kill --- that would leave me with 8 spell space left (3 out of 11 gone). I could then take 4 haste and 2 freeze for my air attack, which is much better than before when I would be limited to 1 jump, 1 lightning 2 rage 1 freeze, or something like that.

    1 jump, 1 poison 2 freeze 4 haste is going to be the new spells for a lot of TH10 air attacks I assume....Or 1 jump 1 poision 1 freeze 5 haste or something like that, if you can take out an inferno tower with a couple golems and heroes.

    Not exactly.

    The old spells now cost 2 spaces (jump, rage, heal, light) and the new dark spells cost 1 space(poison, earthquake, haste).

    TH10 gets 11 spaces for spells, so any combination of the above adding up to 11, keeping in my the old spells each cost 2 and the new dark spells cost 1.

    It is assumed that TH9 will have 9 spaces for spells, and TH8 will get 7 spaces for spells.

    So, as a TH8 you could do your usual 3 old spells plus 1 dark spell for free....Or you could do 7 of the new dark spells technically, or some combination adding up to 7. Say you traditionally attacked with 3 rage, well now you could do 3 rage and 1 poison to take out the CC troops...So in that case you get an extra spell.


    When I was referencing twice as many spells, I was comparing haste to rage....Rage makes units faster and increases their damage and in the new system costs 2 spell spaces..."Haste" increases the speed like rage, but does not increase the damage, and it only costs 1 spell space. Since balloons don't really need the extra damage that rage gives, I can now take twice as many haste spells compared to rage, which will be pretty big with TH9 and TH10 air attacks.

    Even an all out loon swarm may be possible, who knows...Lure and kill the CC then drop loons everywhere with 9 haste spells, lol.

    I'm getting close to max heroes, finally. 37BK 40AQ, can't wait. Then I'll only log into this damn game like twice a day (I currently do an AQ Healer raid every hour or 2).
