  At my current level its mostly 3 and rarely a 2. But going forward I will be upgrading my hogs first.

  I wonder when I'll finally get bored with the game...I've been play for a full year now (started playing last January), and I'm still loving it with no signs of stopping any time very soon.
  
  I'm up to around 30 lava walls, 30 legos, the rest skulls...I chose to get a lava core and lava for all junctions of my base, then I'll finish up the legos...Freaking slow and expensive.
  
  AQ is down going to level 21, BK is down going to level 20.
  
  I don't boost and barch at all anymore, I was getting really sick of it...Now I just Lavaloon 5-6 times a day. 2 hounds, 15-20 loons, the rest minions and a few barbs to clump up the CC for a loon drop on their head. I attack whenever I have 3 spells ready (2 rage 1 freeze), and I target bases with 200k gold, 200k elixir, 3k DE (and I'm in Masters 2 right now, bonus is 120k, 120k, 700 DE). Doing that I bring in 1.5-2mill gold/elixir per day (less troops and spell costs for elixir), and around 20k DE per day.
  
  I'm temporarily leaving the clan I've been with for like 8+ months to go to a 24/7 war sister clan (current clan is 2 wars per week), so the next month or two should be interesting, I've never done constant wars.

  Still at it here. Enjoying it at TH9.
  
  I went with a 10-day shield while the double resource bonuses were going. Best decision ever. I was able to get two xbows, AQ, balloons level 5, and upgrade some defenses. Still need to upgrade a couple of my elixir drills to 12. Also need to focus on upgrading my walls. There's all kinds of defense upgrades I need to do, but without the xbows and AQ, I was getting tore up regularly. Now, I get attacked, but I have a farming setup, so it's all good -- they take my TH.
  
  Upgrading my drags to level 3 now. I still don't get hardly any raids in right now because of the time it takes to do it all (building, searching, waiting, repeat). I'll do it slow and steady with just using my own resources and whatever I get from wars.

  Th8. Just trying to max out everything before I upgrade to th9. Need another round of upgrades for teslas, wizard towers, 4/5 archer towers, 3/5 cannons, and collectors (almost all at lvl 10 now). Probably about another 3-4 weeks before I'm at th9
  
  A lot of people in my clan are at th9 without anything maxed out at th8. Annoys me lol

  I haven't been as active since the boost stopped. but I was also away from home during that time and found myself bored and clashing more. now I just do my 2 clan war attacks every other day (3 wars a week) and maybe 1 or 2 raids before I go to bed. shit is getting so expensive, you really only need multiple builders right after a TH upgrade.

  I still stay at it about four times a day, and I've been at it on-and-off for about a year and a half. We only war every other week, so I don't get worn out on that, and the nice thing about this is that it seems like there are so many different things to pursue in the game. Upgrades, level, and trophies ... The upgrades take quite awhile if you include walls. The trophies have a time frame unless you're constantly gemming your armies (which means you're spending money, so SuperCell doesn't mind). And I don't even know if the levels have a cap.
  
  They've really done a good job keeping the game interesting.

  That's me...but it had to be. There just was no other way to do anything positive for me. I had to get stronger troops. I had to get some added defenses. All that good stuff was truly a positive in upgrading TH9 before everything else was upgraded. I don't lose nearly as much gold/elixir now that I've upgraded and can defend better.

  I'm still clashing away....AQ just got to 25, bk is at 22...I'm finally able to 3-star low to mid TH10 with a lavaloon strategy consistently...
  
  ---Golem, BK, AQ to take out their AQ and 1 air defense...Lightning their CC...
  ---Hogs to get at 1 more accessible air defense
  ---3-4 hounds + loons and rage/freeze
  
  It's tough to pull off, but when you do it's a lot of fun....I had a 98% heartbreaker last night on a mid TH9, though...Loons were too slowly and the lava pups were just seconds away from the last 2 buildings.
  
  
  As for upgrading...My clan has started to just say "forget defenses" a little bit...We are heavily focusing on AQ, BK, and walls....The reason -- point defenses are what matters in war matchmaking...By beefing up our heroes and walls, we are getting the same matchups as usual, but we are stronger and stronger each war offensively.
  
  If your focus is wars primarily, I'd say max your air defenses at TH9, teslas, maybe archer towers...Then just halt and go to town on heroes and walls, you will be glad you did (unless supercell comes in and overhauls the matchmaking system).
  
  I've even done this at TH10..I maxed infernoes and teslas, and now I'm done...I'm just leaving all other defenses at max TH9 level and pooring all resources into walls and heroes.

  I pushed up to champs over the weekend.
  
  I had been at around 2900 farming for the last month or so...I boosted heroes, spells, 2 dark barracks, and 2 regular barracks (70 gems total) 3 times (so it took a total of 6 hours), and made it from 2925 to 3210. So, I spent about 200 gems and got the achievement and 2,000 gems in return. I'm sitting at 3285 this morning, might see if I can push up to 3400 by the end of the week before I drop back down to farm DE for my heroes (both at lvl 25 right now).

  Thats me...and I was the guy being told to suck dicks lol. A bunch of cry babies...good riddance...their champion was a guy who bought his TH10 and he was killing us in wars, so if thats what it took for him to go, then whatever lol.

  Haha I agree. People take it way too seriously. Their suck dick comments on the way out had me laughing, though.

  I couldn't keep up! I wasn't sure why it happened. Who was the one who bought TH10?

  Red Eagle. The #1 who by his base pulled us into wars we shouldn't have been in and he only got us 1 star the entire time he was in the clan. He always attacked their 1 for 0 stars then failed to clean up. He was terrible

  Yikes. If you're top-3 in the clan, you should get a MINIMUM of 2 stars per war, and that's if it's not a close one, and you have the liberty of attacking for a high bonus. Otherwise, you should save at least one attack for cleanup.
  
  And he always got 0 stars attacking the other clan's #1 every time? If that's the case, it's obvious he bought the TH10, because if you get their without gemming to all hell, then you know how to get at LEAST 1 star more than half the time.

  Gotcha. Really clarifies a lot. Pretty dumb. But, either way...I just enjoy being in a clan and warring. It adds much more to the game than single player and searching for farming.
  
  I just wish the wait time and the harvesting caught up to what everything else requires. Things get too expensive. Wait time is way too long. And it takes forever to get anything to get there. I wish we could level-up builders to decrease build time. As far as I'm concerned, mines and drills should always be able to be leveled up too. Should always have the ability to continuously get more resources.

  Getting pretty close to maxing out at th8 which I really want to do before moving to th9. So many people in my clan have moved to th9 and some even to th10 without even a decent defense. Pisses me off.
  
  Walls are all to purple..probably won't upgrade them all to black walls until th9 but I will do about a third black while I'm upgrading to th9.
  
  Need two more wizard tower upgrades, all 3 teslas need one more upgrade, and a couple more mines but I'm not too worried about mines.
  
  As for troops, everything is maxed except for pekka to 3, golem to 2, and minions but I rarely use minions.
  
  Feel good about my clan. Can't wait to get up to th9

  I have everything maxed at TH8 except one level to go on: 2 archer towers, 3 cannons, 2 barracks, lots of walls.
  
  For troops, everything is at the same level as S&L's.
