    Agreed, both do.

    And this is awful writing:

""Or look at it this way: Say Jonathan Martin had three children, two boys and a girl. Say the youngest was 2 months old and the oldest was 3 years old and they all died in a fire."
  • Raw Dawgin' it
Jonathan Martin is 6'5 300lbs. It's not like Incognito was picking on a guy like Hartline. I definitely see where people are coming from saying he should stand up for himself.

You think Knocked Up is a terrible movie, so your opinion is invalid.

I would think that any man should be able to stand up to another if he really is being bothered. Doesnt have to punch or get physical, just basically tell him to fuck off and stop it.
After that..then well do what you gotta do, report it or punch him.. Thing is if you punch him ya never know what happens next.

Yeah and I like Ever After and Snow White and the Huntsman, which makes my point more invalid.

Sometime this morning I changed my stance to "Everyone involved is an idiot and I don't give a shit anymore. Let's move on."
  • Zoltan
A lot of great big picture points on the situation here. I agree with this.

perfect sentiment. and it is strangely relevant to a family issue with respect to selling some land. Everyone is being stupid and dealing with it - not fun.

If his black teammates don't think he is racist, and are cool with him using it, why would you as a white male with 0 background into this story think it is wrong?

    Because it is wrong?

Yeah I'm sure his black teammates are real "cool" with him using the n word.

    Apparently they are...

-Added Jerry, who is black, speaking about Incognito's alleged use of a racial slur: "I know the type of person he is and I know he don't mean it that way."

-because some black teammates have said the language that Incognito used was ok.

-“Richie is honorary,” a former Dolphins player who knew both said. “I don’t expect you to understand because you’re not black. But being a black guy, being a brother is more than just about skin color. It’s about how you carry yourself. How you play. Where you come from. What you’ve experienced. A lot of things.”

Incognito clearly used in a derogatory way.
  • ernest_t_bass
I'm still yet to actually listen to the voicemail. (Link?)

Did he say nigg-er, or nigg-a?

I have seen numerous black people say this is ridiculous.

Not that are on his team. I'm not defending him, I'm just saying that unless anyone here was part of the team, you can say it's wrong if his "brothers in arms" are ok with it.

What about the person he harassed? Can he say it's wrong?
  • iclfan2
He sure can... Has he? I haven't actually seen him say anything about this yet. And from all accounts, he and incognito were good friends. Which is what makes this story bizarre.

One teammate? One? And he didn't say he was cool with it, he said I'm sure he didn't mean it in a racial way. Which is probably true. But it doesn't excuse him from being a POS.

And ETB you seriously haven't listened to the voicemail? How can you even have an opinion on this conversation ABOUT THE VOICEMAIL when you haven't even listened to it? LOL

It's pretty well established that they were. He uses it right in front of Pouncey on the TMZ video and he is cool with it. It doesn't make it right, but the whole culture of an NFL locker room is messed up.

Every dolphin I have seen weigh in is on his side, which shows just how F'd up the culture is.

Read the Whitlock article on ESPN, he does a great job explaining it.

I don't care if every NFL player, coach, GM and owner agree with Incognito.

    I will not.

If black people are so offended by it, maybe they should stop saying it too.
