Richie Incognito

Same. Jumped to the conclusion that he had to be some kind of ***** at first, but the voicemails definitely changed my opinion on that. Dude did the right thing.Automatik;1529723 wrote:I thought Martin was being a bitch at first, until the voicemails came out. -

I was just asking....hence the question mark. You don't know he's reached that level of harassment with anyone else.Manhattan Buckeye;1529732 wrote:To Automatik:

Manhattan BuckeyePer his reputation, I'd give that a solid positive. Dude is a jerk, was one at Nebraska, and continued into the NFL. I wouldn't want that asshole on my team. As for Martin, dude is very young (24 now?), and very, very green. He didn't deserve Incognito but the guy needs to get a bit of kick in him.

Me?Are you suggesting he should have just laid Incognito out?

You're unreal MB -
Manhattan BuckeyeFor what, calling Incognito a jerk?
-
Me?If that is what you're suggesting, I couldn't disagree more. I despise the bullying awareness campaign. I think people do need to grow thicker skin. But demonizing the abused is stupid, and going as far as to suggest that he's soft because he didn't do anything about it physically is even more stupid. Hypothetically, had he punched him, then we hear about it all. We hear about how he was in the wrong for punching him, blah, blah, they're both in the wrong--two wrongs don't make a right kind of thing. When you walk away and hold yourself to a higher standard, all of the focus is on the douche bag abuser. That creates a way stronger incentive to NOT be that doucher. If you resort to violence, you will only make the problem worse in the long run. Two antagonists doesn't make a situation better.

Manhattan BuckeyeWho said anything about doing anything physically? I didn't.

Perfect example of the media blowing it out of proportion.
Here is a quote from someone IN THE LOCKER ROOM, who is also black"
"I know both of those guys personally. I like both of them," said wide receiverMike Wallace, who added he doesn't believe the team's pranks and hazing went too far. "I love Richie. I think he's a great guy. I don't think he was out of hand. I have a lot of respect for Richie. I wish he was here."
Carries FAR more weight for me than a bunch of talking heads wanting to use it to cover a bunch of air time.
And the people, Ditka included, calling for violence against a bully, are just flat out stupid. They don't get it, they don't understand how to solve the problem. Why are we getting advice from a bunch of small minded individuals who operate on emotion, not rational thought, and can't see the big picture? Violence begets more violence, it won't solve anything. What is happening right now WILL. Incognito being drug through the mud and made to look like an ass in front of everyone goes MUCH farther than taking a punch to the jaw--especially when you consider the dude gets punched in the mouth every Sunday for 3 hours... -

We have a lot of sissies in this country. And we have a lot of meatheads who think punching and fighting is the answer to everything (MB). Intelligence trumps all. -
Me?
I asked if that is what you are suggesting...because you're attempting to make some sort of point about how Martin is soft and seem to insinuate that you came to that conclusion because of the way he handled this situation, but you aren't really making a point at all, so I'm trying to figure it out.Manhattan Buckeye;1529764 wrote:Who said anything about doing anything physically? LJMike Wallace has only been with the team since the spring and isn't in the OL groupings. A lot of this buildup happened before Wallace ever joined the Dolphins. I take his opinion on the matter with a grain of salt.

Probably but because Martin handled it differently doesn't mean he's wrong. -

Ohio Chatter challenge - again.
If you can point out any where in this thread I advocated any violence I won't post here again.
If you can't, you will leave and not post here again.

Yeah same here. Fuck Mike Wallace...mofo thought he deserved Larry Fitz money. LOLLJ;1529769 wrote:Mike Wallace has only been with the team since the spring and isn't in the OL groupings. So, if you take his opinion with a grain of salt, then that means anyone outside of the locker room (Keyshawn, CC, Berman, Ditka, TJ, Skip Bayless, Stephan A Smith, etc.) has an opinion that is 100% irrelevant, right?LJ;1529769 wrote:Mike Wallace has only been with the team since the spring and isn't in the OL groupings. If you would quit ignoring MY question and actually make your point, rather than dancing around it, then maybe we would understand you better.Manhattan Buckeye;1529772 wrote:"And we have a lot of meatheads who think punching and fighting is the answer to everything (MB)."

I haven't read any of their opinions. -

What question?Me?;1529777 wrote:If you would quit ignoring MY question and actually make your point, rather than dancing around it, then maybe we would understand you better.
Incognito is a jerk.
Martin is a lousy player for his draft pick, and if he had an issue with Incognito (not surprisingly) take it to the team.
Sports and Lady completely butchered my comment.

If you can't read the question, then why should I have to go in circles to appease you? It's clearly laid out in this thread...twice. You are either trying to dance around calling Incognito a ***** or you're making a completely irrelevant point.Manhattan Buckeye;1529779 wrote:What question?

How can I answer the question when I have no idea what they are saying? Factually, a lot of the abuse against Martin took place before Wallace was ever with the Dolphins. The voicemail happened right after Wallace signed, and before he attended any official team activities. You are gonna sit there and say that he is the best source of information right now?Me?;1529780 wrote:That doesn't mean you can't answer the question.
