Richie Incognito

"I asked if that is what you are suggesting."

That's isn't the question, if not, what the fuck is it?

The voicemail happened right after Wallace signed, and before he attended any official team activities. You are gonna sit there and say that he is the best source of information right now?
Because if you have to take the opinion of someone IN THE LOCKER ROOM with a grain of salt, then regardless of what anyone outside of it says, it should be completely irrelevant. You shouldn't need to even know what they said.

Mike Wallace isn't the only one either. There are other players who have spoken up and have made it obvious that they don't view it as nearly as big a deal as the talking heads.

Again, it's only because Wallace hasn't even been there for most of the abuse.

So these players are in favor of abuse and fostering a hostile work enviroment. Superb.

Alright, forget you two. Is there anyone out there who would like to participate in an intelligent conversation rather than talking in incoherent circles?

You're ridiculous. This man was being badly harassed in his workplace. What we want is people reporting it and the bully (for lack of a better term) getting taken care of by the organization or legal system. We don't want people "standing up for themselves" either with their fists or god forbid with a weapon. What a stupid attitude to take. This is where they work, that sort of thing is unacceptable and I'm assuming he'll rightfully no longer be able to work in the NFL.

Sorry you are having trouble comprehending the fact that someone who has only been around the team for 6 months isn't the best source of information on events that happened before he was around.
  • Manhattan Buckeye
So do you have a question? i'm now down to 60 minutes. Now we have IWP posting.

IWP. I hate Richie Incognito! Satisfied?

Actually, what is happening is that you're not comprehending the context of the conversation--you're simply injecting an opinion that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. It isn't about being a source of information--it's about the perception of how serious this entire thing is. The media is blowing it up in a big way. Guys who were actually there clearly don't think it's nearly as big of a deal.

    +1.

MB, "stand up for yourself" means to fight which means to take violence upon someone. So never post here again, thanks.

But who is to say that they are right in that it isn't a big deal when it comes to societal norms? I also don't think most were privy to the texts and voicemails that Incognito was leaving martin. You have only posted 1 quote that supports that opinion. Also, I have presented you with facts about Wallace's knowledge of the situation, not an opinion of it.

I also would like to point out Stanford football is far from a soft brand of football.

    Jesus Christ man...

ARE YOU SUGGESTING THAT MARTIN IS SOFT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T RESORT TO VIOLENCE IN RESPONSE TO BEING BULLIED?

Yeah, I love the way they play, especially on the Oline. Pro style, smashmouth football.

Word is Miami is taking the steps to cut ties with Incognito.

Not really, you still think that there's something wrong with how Martin dealt with this because you in all your wisdom have deemed that he's "soft" somehow.

Quit being such a baby about people thinking your opinion is wrong. No one wants you to start a campaign to hang Incognito, we just think it's absurd that your focus is not "man, that shit is insane and has no place in a working environment" but is rather "man, Martin is such a softie".

Wow, stand up for yourself means to fight? It doesn't mean talk to the coach, the position coach, the general manager, anyone that you know, actually signs your checks.

I'd send you a private message but i wouldn't want to bully you.

You are the one who is clearly having issues here. Just because a few guys supposedly say tgat the small part of the entire history of abuse is ok, doesn't make it so. It looks as it the majority of the abuse went on in private (texts and voicemails) meaning that the other players wouldn't really know what is going on.

More to the point. Any notion that this incident has any bearing on whether or not Martin is "Soft" is absurd. "Toughen up there little guy, it's just a little financial extortion!"

But like you said Martin is probably not the first person he's bullied. So perhaps the management was looking the other way or there were other reasons he didn't feel comfortable going to them. If people are upset that he aired dirty laundry they're looking at this the wrong way.

"But like you said Martin is probably not the first person he's bullied."

So how did the other guys get by? Incognito's graces?

I'm certainly not defending Incognito, in fact I've stated multiple time that he's a jerk. But it shouldn't take much to realize that Martin is a bit of an "eggshell", that doesn't mean he's a bad guy, but he is the one to make this beyond the franchise and isn't someone I would want if I was a GM. Management knows what Incognito was when they signed him....again his reputation is well, reputable. That is all i was saying and yet again on Ohio Chatter people put words in my mouth, misconstrue my arguments or like sports and lady completely bullox everything.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! So says a guy who supports a forced government run healthcare system that fines you if you don't participate! Inconsistent much??? LOL

No one misconstrued anything. I asked you a question, you didn't answer it--would have easily cleared you of what people assumed you meant--not anyone else's fault that you refused to answer it multiple times.

I would answer it if you would ask it - 20 minutes and then I have to get on a train.
