But I typed out that post (didn't take long as I can type fast) as someone asked a genuine question and I felt like giving a complete answer. No ones forcing you to read it.
No ones fucking reading it, let alone being forced to. -

No need to be so hostile towards posts that you admittedly don't care to read. So much pent up anger. -

I have no anger. Just perplexed as to why you feel the need to write a novel about every subject brought up on here. -

Jesus F4F do you have to go on a long ass typing spree about every god damn subject?
Dare I say I actually prefer you as a mod, because you didn't actually post?
Also STFU with him being a mod. -

I don't think you were expressing joy, surprise or happiness in those posts. Cursing has a link with emotions, if you pay attention to conversation any normal individual can pick up on that. But I provided a link for the naysayers. But cursing is more than just aggression, explains Timothy Jay, a psychologist at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts who has studied our use of profanities for the past 35 years. "It allows us to vent or express anger, joy, surprise, happiness," he remarks. "It's like the horn on your car, you can do a lot of things with that, it's built into you." -

Oh really? I answered a question then the usual crew (first just S&L, then eventually you and like_that couldn't resist) decided to jump on my answer. I thought you guys agreed to stop doing that if I was no longer a mod?Commander of Awesome;1484161 wrote:SMH no kidding. We had a nice thread/discussion going until F4F came in.
You guys don't run the website, stop acting like you do. -

We jumped on your answer and you just couldn't let it go. Had to post some dumbass link to saying that because I said "ass" that meant I was mad. Yeah ok.
You're the worst F4F. Smh -
Commander of AwesomeI can't comment because I'm just being part of the "usual crew". lulz

OSHChalk me up as another "college athletes should not be paid" champion.
But...along with high school athletics evolving, I think college athletics should as well. -
lhslep134A couple unpopular opinions I have:
I agree with MB and SB, college athletes don't need more than what they receive. There are a few things that need changed to make them more like other students (ability to profit individually), but I don't think the schools need to provide anything more than free education/books/housing

I think they deserve a modest amount of walking around cash for pizza and beer. I know they can't have a job during the season, and while they may be on a full-ride that doesn't give them spending money whereas another student can take out a loan and then get a job for spending money.OSH;1484172 wrote:Chalk me up as another "college athletes should not be paid" champion. -

I can agree with that, as long as it applies to family visitations and tickets to games. I don't think there is anything wrong with the family of a full schollie getting free admission and a somewhat generous stipend for travel expenses.like_that;1484177 wrote:I think they should at least get a bigger stipend. -

HUGE distinction here. The student you describe may have spending money now from their job but they'll have less in the future paying back loans whereas the scholarship athlete has no loans to repay.gut;1484180 wrote:whereas another student can take out a loan and then get a job for spending money. -

But that doesn't change the fact that the scholarship athlete is still forced to walk around broke. Give him a loan for spending money if you want (and I thought maybe they changed the rules to allow for spending money), but he's entitled to have a few bucks in his pocket.lhslep134;1484186 wrote:HUGE distinction here. Turn the argument around...If you couldn't hold a job as a condition of a student loan, do you think people wouldn't cheat and game the system? Would you chastise them for doing so?
