Fly4FunWhy are people jumping on my post for laying the blame on the education system and ignoring that I put it on the family and individual as well? It's a collective failure which reflects on our society as a whole. I know that a huge part of success in our current system is dependent on parental involvement. But that doesn't mean that it's never the education systems fault and always the families/individuals. Considering how our education system currently ranks compared to the rest of the world despite our advantages in resources, there is clearly something that's wrong with it. But I'll reiterate my first point one more time, it's not just our education system, it's the family and individual as well.

Toledo Scott I taught their after college ... (Yes Belly has a BA double major degree) loved it, the kids where great but the parent and the NAACP was a pain in my ass. If I just had the kids there was so much potential ...rmolin73;1474159 wrote:His English is good now he still has a heavy accent though. Dude worked hard at everything he did. Even though you couldn't understand him at times in HS he performed very well in English class.
Most of these so called black leaders get rich off of racism. Focusing on the education of those that are in the black community that are struggling is the furthest thing from their minds. I volunteer for a tutoring program in the city of Toledo it would amaze you how the so called NAACP is involved. They are a joke! -

Poor grammar or spell does not personify lacking intelligence. Poor education or learning disabilities like Dyslexia are contributing factors. To generalize poor grammar / spelling with low IQ or intelligence is an uneducated individuals arrogant opinion. Albert Einstein, Walt Disney and many other famous people and world leaders have poor grammar and spelling history has documented. Many of you who make comments thinking that this will be hurtful or to show your educated superiority are the joke. I know who I am you’ll still trying to prove who you are.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1475087 wrote:I refuse to believe a guy with 2 Bachelor degress and owns 2 businesses has grammar like that. Poor grammar and spelling skills does show poor intelligence/education OUTSIDE of any learning disabilities. I am a firm believer that being a good speller and reader will do more for you than anything in school.Belly35;1475149 wrote:Poor grammar or spell does not personify lacking intelligence. Somewhat of a correct statement. Poor grammar and spelling skills may indicate lack of education but not intelligence. 15 Elementary school, 3 Jr. High and one High School all intercity poverty areas that the snap shot of my education from the 50 to late 60's ... and Dyslexia was not heard of. Who failed who?
I could not agree more.. Out of everything in my life that I have done ... the only thing I would change is the ability to read better and spelling skills.WebFire;1475153 wrote:I am a firm believer that being a good speller and reader will do more for you than anything in school.
I will have to admit that many times I type slower that I’m thinking and my mind rush faster when I have multiple thoughts to express. -
