MIT Shooting/Bombing Suspect Manhunt - Suspect 1: DEAD, Suspect 2: In Custody

The conspiracy theorist's simple answer to that is that they are covering it up. Lol. That's how that works.sherm03;1432433 wrote:Perhaps it's because the FBI examined far more photos than were available to people on Reddit and realized that those two guys never actually dropped their backpacks.
Sure the photo can give you pause. But it's also one photo out of the thousands and thousands that the FBI reviewed (in addition to video footage). I'm sure if there was suspicion around those two, we would have been hearing about Suspects #1-4 instead of just Suspects #1 and #2.
As I said, this is not a coverup. But it's certainly interesting, as any conspiracy theory, on the surface, usually is. As they say about theories, however, if you really want to find something, you can.
But these guys were not self-made. The older brother was trained. I fully believe that. -

The person's assertion on the website is that the backpack the man was carrying was the exact same backpack that was supposedly used in the bombing, not that he simply was carrying a bookbag and therefore a terrorist.WebFire;1432438 wrote:Do you realize how many people have backpacks at a marathon?
I don't believe it. I said that you can easily see where a connection can be made, even if it's not real. -
Midstate01All that can make you think...then you remember they have pics and video of the bag being planted.....

This is true. Where can I watch that video? Or is that still considered part of the investigation and not released yet? I don't remember seeing it.Midstate01;1432474 wrote:All that can make you think...then you remember they have pics and video of the bag being planted..... -

No way they release that. It's evidence for court. But we did see pics of white hat dropping his. -

That is a sad photo. Damn.bases_loaded;1432490 wrote:
That's what's confusing about the conspiracy theorist's argument in the website above. He says he has pictures of the kid in the white hat walking away from the area -- after the bombing -- with his backpack still on his back. And he shows them. But they were obviously taken before the bombings. So that is where his theory falls apart.
Although, it's hard to tell in that photo above if the the kid in the white hat has a backpack or not, isn't it? Are there other angles of that shot to clearly show he isn't carrying a backpack? (I'm sure there are, I just missed them.) -

I haven't seen one. But I'm guessing they have them and the video they have. Doesn't matter though because he apparently admitted to it. -

But you can see why the conspiracy theorists come up with what they do, right? I agree with you, though. -
rydawg5Reasoning with the majority of "mainstream media" watchers is as hard as reasoning with conspiracy theorists.
Why?
Mainstream media believers do the following:
1) Believe EVERYTHING they are told in reporting by the MSM in news events.
2) When they DON'T Agree with the MSM is due to "liberal" or "right winger" reasons.
3) They can't disagree with a story, and anyone who does wears a tin foil hat. Was the 1996 "bomber" guilty in Atlanta? THE sheep did think so and wanted him dead, and then the guy was given 3 million when they realized it wasn't him. CNN was caught "green screening" Desert Storm, but anyone would have brought it up in the moment was tin foil boy.
4) For these people (which is the majority of the united states) - They believe history never repeats itself and when a Government or media lied or conspired against the people, it was 'just that one time in a different place and would never happen here'
5) They think to bring up an alternative idea in the time the story is taking place is "unamerican" - No questioning of anything is patriotic.
6) Again, history never repeats itself. Their government is as good as Jesus Christ. All persons in said government have the best of intentions.
7) If history shows that the same government ever did something shady, that was the long ago past and we are not even the same type of humans who could do that.
8) To not believe everything hook line and sinker all the time makes you a lunatic.
How can one control a majority of free people? Form their thoughts and opinions from what they watch and hear through the media. Watch Manufacturing Consent. #Noam -

Midstate01I refuse to believe our government would kill its own ppl. This is going to get political though and there is already a thread on that. I just refuse to believe something like that

sportchamppsJust a thought about the theories. What about Jeff Bauman he supposedly looked the bomber in the eyes and saw that bag being dropped. If he confirms one of the brothers is who he saw will that end this discussion. I don't think he would give up both legs so a internet privacy bill could pass the house and not the senate.

I had forgotten about him. He saw the fbi video and immediately said that guy dropped a backpack beside him. -

I share your viewpoint with regard to this case, but not in general. The government has IMO most definitely killed our own deliberately. I personally believe it had a hand in the murder of our 35th president.Midstate01;1432515 wrote:I refuse to believe our government would kill its own ppl. But do you really think the government is completely and unconditionally honest with you about everything they do? It doesn't mean everything is a conspiracy, but it doesn't mean that some things are not conspiracies, either. In all reality, with all of the conflicting reports and the giant cloud of mystery that surrounds the case, neither you nor I know what really happened to Jack Kennedy. -

The only conflicting reports and mystery is those from conspiracy theorists. Just like every other event that happens in this country. Within minutes, idiots are distorting truth and fact to the point people start questioning the truth and can longer see the truth.reclegend22;1432585 wrote:No.

The government does lie. Do they kill their own people to push agendas? If they do, I guess I am naive. -

A United States House Select Committee disagrees with you. During their investigation of the matter in 1979, they came to the conclusion that Kennedy's death was most likely the result of a conspiracy that involved multiple shooters and that the Warren Commission was flawed.WebFire;1432588 wrote:The only conflicting reports and mystery is those from conspiracy theorists. No need to get into that here, but the evidence is definitely there in the JFK case. This isn't some crazy theory developed by an Internet cartoon character who says he has evidence that the president was abducted by an alien spaceship. Many former FBI, CIA and other government entities have stated they believe there was a conspiracy of some sort and that Oswald was not the only gunman. -

I'm not familiar with the case. Is that conspiracy that the gov't assassinated JFK?reclegend22;1432595 wrote:A United States House Select Committee disagrees with you. In that particular case, the select house committee never named a third party specifically, just stating that the evidence adds up to more than one shooter and therefore makes the findings of the Warren Commission inaccurate.WebFire;1432598 wrote:I'm not familiar with the case. So, I guess that's where I stand. I'm not sure if our government was responsible, but the lone gunman theory doesn't hold up; there had to be an organized plan in action to kill JFK executed by several parties. Who those people were is the question. -

That to me isn't a conspiracy at all. That is just investigating whether there is more than 1 gunman.reclegend22;1432612 wrote:In that particular case, the select house committee never named a third party specifically, just stating that the evidence adds up to more than one shooter and therefore makes the findings of the Warren Commission inaccurate.
