Explosion during Boston Marathon (non-political discussion)

Or the guy who did it got injured during the blast and couldn't detonate the other ones? I'm really curious who is behind this

Yea, just like the Saudi Arabian that was tackled because he was running away from the explosion (like everybody else). Or the supposed Saudi Arabian suspect who was detained in the hospital. He was prevented access so, how could he have planted the bomb, and if he did plant it why would he be going back to it? Its a possibility it is a foreigner, but I cannot stand this racist bull****.

    This. It's a joke

Idk..who cares about racism when there was a bomb just detonated, killing innocent Americans.

It's not like they arrested Saudi's and tortured them for hours then sent them to solitary confinement for the next 50 years. They tackled a few and probably let them go within 30 min.

Unrecoverable? Lol. I was being sarcastic -- admittedly awkwardly -- at the fact that somebody here, in the middle of all the death tolls, posted that a kid from Van Buren or whatever Ohio finished in 10th place. Like that even matters.

If I have taken Fairwoodking's crown -- I have no idea what that means -- then so be it. I don't need a chat room's approval.

The bomb was detonated at the finish line where the majority of people would be. I think the Newton families were coincidence more than anything. They were sitting at mile marker 26 of a 26.2 mile race.

Where the hell did you get the information that the Newton families were targeted? Jesus christ, just because they were at the race doesn't make them the target.

As I said, I shouldn't have said a word and this is obviously a sad day.

I care about the innocent people killed, and I also care about equality. This fuck face is example A that pisses me off (he apparently contributes to Fox News).

On a thread about a terrorist attack you couldn't help but troll on someone who I'd say accomplished something pretty impressive. Oh yes it's hilarious to think he got 10th because 20 people in front of him were blown up. You have sarcasm and asshole troll confused.

Yes that's false. It's too easy for these pages to exist. You can change the name of groups. That page was probably something else 2 days ago and they changed it today.

    Sure.

If a Saudi group "is" responsible, which country do we invade? Qatar?

Possible, but then wouldn't seem we are dealing with a cell phone trigger.

To be fair, I haven't seen the cell phone thing any more confirmed than reports of additional devices. One or two, sure I'll buy that but I'm skeptical of 5 or more.
  • lhslep134
I'm suspecting a domestic terrorist cell. Just a hunch.

Let me just say that post 9/11 like 80%+ believed we would be attacked again soon...within 5-10 years might have been close to 100%.

So to go 11+ years is pretty remarkable. And this might be domestic or just one or two nutjobs - the difference between this and the school/mall/campus shootings is basically the weapon. Not sure how that would be any more comforting, but it would be good to know we don't have a gap as far as foreign terrorists.
  • SportsAndLady
No one knows anything so everyone just needs to stop guessing and playing detective about this situation lol we (as in, the people of Ohio Chatter) know literally nothing.

Edit: And yes I realize I asked what everyone thought on who did this...so I guess just forget this post lol

I think some radical right-wing militia. The country is very divided and polarized right now.
  • ptown_trojans_1
Boy, you would think with some posters that they are intelligence or police officers.
Too early to try and specualte blame folks.

There is much evidence to support foreign and domestic groups.

That tweet looks to be purely sarcastic.

    1) The reply shouldnt have been said by a (and I use this term loosely) "professional"
    2) The initial tweet was serious.

LMAO...it's a message board, for discussion. No, we're NOT intelligence or police officers, which is why we are perfectly entitled to share our opinions on a message board.
