Oh so almost 50+ years ago. Let's fix this by using racism against white people and perpetuate racism to infinity!

Attractiveness is certainly used in certain occupations.
    Weight can be.
Literal vision (as opposed to proverbial vision).
    Personality compatibility.

All these can be, and are, used in the hiring process, even though they don't inherently establish a candidate as a better employee.
If all things equal between a white prospective employee and a black prospective employee except for personality compatibility, would it not be considered racist for me to choose the one closer to my personality?
Gblock;1397169 wrote: We couldn't vote for a very long time, remember?
I know you didn't write this, but the younger generation need to realize there has never been a time in there life where they, as a black person, were not allowed to vote.
Gblock;1397171 wrote:also half of this country went to war because they didnt want blacks to have equal rights, half of this country if put to a vote would probably go back to jim crow. It wasnt like people wanted to give blacks equal rights. they had to march, fight, get beat, lynched and locked up for many years. it wasnt just handed to them
Half of this country would vote back Jim Crow? GTFOOHWTS.

More than half voted a black man as President. While there are some white people who'd vote for Jim Crow, I bet that percentage is probably equal to the percent of black people who'd prefer to kill at white people.

Me? Yes. You can't make a general inference about my preferences. I prefer to be independent and homeless rather than a slave with a roof over my head.

Accuracy? You mean it took 100 years after the freeing of slaves for blacks to go "Hey, maybe we should be treated equally as white folk". Their fault.

    haha nice

If it came to being a slave or homeless, it would depend on how hot the owners wife and other family members are.

It's interesting when people bring up athletics and race.

"Why does a black guy have to get the job when a white guy could do just as well".

Black people were selectively bred when they were slaves. They're going to be better, faster, stronger based purely off of un-natural selection.

Like I've said, treating blacks as second class citizens is ignorance. Let's continue the ignorance by now treating white people as second class citizens by giving blacks preferential treatment!

i think a lot of them missed the boat. I work at an all black all girls university, for every one you find that was bread to be better, i'll find you at least 100 that weren't.

Not to mention how many white folks gave their lives fighting side by side with their fellow black Americans for freedom. I guess that isn't enough sacrifice; we need white people to continue to apologize into infinity!:laugh:

    I should've said black males.

I guess we would be talking about wheat bread?

I give a lot of credit to those who risked everything to help blacks not only during slavery, and jim crow but to this day in schools, playgrounds and workplaces, families even today. I know a girl who got disowned by her family last week for dating a black guy and this was a close knit family.

that being said QQ white people still have it maid ;)

Black people have it made. They can get by just because of the color of their skin and don't have to work hard for the opportunities they get. It's a never ending loop and if you truly want equality, you'd be vehemently against all race based aid and race based incentives.

Ah. Nice to know you are more concerned with equal outcome, not equal opportunity, comrade.

It's the same broken logic as the Rooney rule. Oh there are 80% black NFL players therefore the coaches/GM/owners should be comprised of 80% black people. No one looks at it and goes "Hey the coaches/GM/owners are 80% white people therefore the players should be comprised of 80% white people".

IT'S CALLED RACISM EITHER WAY; time to end it and for minorities to grow up.
  • Gblock
i think it will take that long before i can agree it is truly an equal opportunity. as it stands i still feel most blacks and especially women have to work harder to get the same opportunities/jobs/pay whatever. the AA things your talking about are a small fraction of a percent of the jobs/opportunities in this country

there are more blacks in prison than on college campuses how many of your jobs can they really be taking??

I'm not sure what the relevance of this question is. Are you arguing that without affirmative action more blacks would end up in prison? Why can't this be solved with need based aid rather than aid based on skin color?

So now you want equal number of blacks and whites in prison?:p

    But seriously...
