justincredibleI haven't used coconut oil in my tea in a while. Generally I stir in a spoonful of raw honey. Fucking delicious.

OK, I don't know because my thing of oil does not say unrefined or virgin on it. Do I have the wrong stuff?Azubuike24;1402095 wrote:The best place to buy coconut oil is Trader Joe's. 16 oz of unrefined, virgin coconut oil for $5.99. The easiest way to know the difference is it should taste and smell like coconut. The unrefined stuff does not.

Ok, then I won't be doing it lol.BR1986FB;1402116 wrote:If you're putting it in tea during your fast, yes. Coconut oil doesn't skimp on the calories and it will technically break your fast. -

That's the crap they sold at Walmart before they got the good stuff. The good stuff is in a glass jar. That's different "Louana" packaging than the one I saw but I think that is hydrogenated(?)Sonofanump;1402118 wrote:OK, I don't know because my thing of oil does not say unrefined or virgin on it. The label does not indicate one way or anotherBR1986FB;1402120 wrote:That's the crap they sold at Walmart before they got the good stuff. The good stuff is in a glass jar. That's different "Louana" packaging than the one I saw but I think that is hydrogenated(?) -
AutomatikIn regards to adding coconut oil coffee. I've heard of this, it's called "bullet proof" coffee. Look it up.
I don't know much about it, but after a quick glance it doesn't appear to be anything I plan on trying. -
Azubuike24If it tastes/smells like coconut, it's unrefined.
The "good stuff" will usually advertise on the label "unrefined" and "virgin" and will be more expensive than the Louana type. -

I dunno, this sounds pretty awesome.Automatik;1402125 wrote:In regards to adding coconut oil coffee. I've heard of this, it's called "bullet proof" coffee. Look it up.

Recipe (from Bulletproof Executive)
- Start with a cup of of black coffee brewed with mold-free beans (important).
- Add 1-2 Tbs of UNSALTED grass-fed butter
- Add 30 grams of Medium Chain Tryglcyeride Oil (MCT Oil) for max energy, weight loss and brain function (optional).
- Blend with a pre-heated hand blender, Magic Bullet, or (best) counter top blender until there is a creamy head of foam. (It doesn’t work well if you mix it with a spoon). -
AutomatikJust picked this up.
$16 for 16oz.
I really dislike giving my money to GNC. -
AutomatikI'm bumping this because I'm bored.
Anyone else still throwin in the reverse pyramid?
I don't apply it to accessory stuff, but so far I'm really liking it. Kinda weird going to this after increasing weight set after set my entire life. -

Yeah I've been doing it with benching, deadlifts, squats, and shoulder press. I really like it. My legs are done after doing 30 reps of squats in 3 sets.Automatik;1404853 wrote:I'm bumping this because I'm bored.

I do RPT with 4 mentioned above along with chin and pull ups. Love it. Most lifters make the mistake of jumping into high weight/high volume too soon. Only after about 2-3 years of dedicated weight lifting should you jump into that stuff, and even then only for short cycles. Plus with RPT you can vary it up with shorter or longer resting periods depending on what you are working for.Raw Dawgin' it;1404905 wrote:Yeah I've been doing it with benching, deadlifts, squats, and shoulder press. ashleygriffTry Doritos Locos from Taco Bell. It doesn't just give people food but also help in our economy. The term “job creators” does get flung around, doesn't it? Usually, silver-spoon executives with fake tans claim to be them, but anything can be one - like a taco. Not kidding on that one, as Taco Bell had to hire 15,000 additional people because of the Doritos Locos line of tacos. Article Source: Doritos Locos tacos: Job creators!

agreed. Not only is Taco Bell a cheap source of "food", it also helps you maintain/lose your weight by giving you the shits every time you eat it.ashleygriff;1408905 wrote:Try Doritos Locos from Taco Bell. Raw Dawgin' itDoes anyone here use a hex bar for deadlifts over an oly bar? I used the hex bar last night since all the squat racks were taken and there wasn't any free space to do oly dead lifts since it was so crowded.
It felt more like a squat dead lift hybrid. I really liked and felt like it used more muscles in my upper back while still working my lower back. I'm not sure how much I lifted since I don't know how much the hex bar weighs, but I liked it better than the oly dead lifts, mostly because i had less strain on my back but could still move heavy weight. -

I own a hex bar and use it exclusively for deadlifts. Since I don't compete, I don't give a rats on how the weight gets hoisted as long as it goes up. With the hex you can use more legs & ass since you can get lower in your stance than doing deads conventionally. When I did deads conventionally it was in a sumo style since I have long legs & monkey arms.Raw Dawgin' it;1418988 wrote:Does anyone here use a hex bar for deadlifts over an oly bar? It was different at first since the weight is distributed differently. I for sure felt it more in my legs and a lot more in my upper/middle back than i normally do. I'll probably use it for a few weeks.BR1986FB;1419011 wrote:I own a hex bar and use it exclusively for deadlifts. birddog23I'm gonna give the trap bar deadlift a go today. Been reading a lot of good stuff on it lately, and these posts here just reinforce it. Although I am sure it will be a lot different for me since the past 16 months I've been doing standard olympic barbell deads but if it will help prevent injury and continue to make me stronger I am all for it!

It's a much easier lift and it will keep your shins from getting bloody.birddog23;1420183 wrote:I'm gonna give the trap bar deadlift a go today. I care about myself, so I tend to avoid places like Taco Bell.ashleygriff;1408905 wrote:Try Doritos Locos from Taco Bell. It doesn't just give people food but also help in our economy.
