Paleo eating

If you're just sitting around, fasting will be a bitch on the weekends (not implying you're sitting around).

I feel it's rather easy to maintain, especially during the weekend in regards to working out fasted.

Sleep in a bit, do some laundry or random stuff then workout. I time it so I'm eating my first meal right after I workout.
Honestly - just having the food right the entire time ha. I wake up at 5am during the week so sleeping in for me is 6:30. I don't go to the gym early because I usually go late morning or early afternoon with my wife. Pretty much, the will power isn't there when I'm chilling on the couch watching tv when i know i can go up to my kitchen and have something to eat. It's definitely a will power thing, so for now, weekdays are easiest for me. If i know i'm going to lift on the weekend then i'll try and do a fasted workout.

Try not being a lazy ass and get off the couch...

yup, sitting around on a saturday morning drinking coffee is so lazy. Apparently we're not all as cool as Like_That who wakes up, sprints to the gym, lifts, sprints home and then does push ups until it's time to go to bed.

Well, you made it sound like you wake up and just sit on your ass for 5 hours before being active, because you are "watching tv." You don't have to go to the gym, but you can do something other than sitting on your ass to get food off your mind. Nice fail.

lol it's a fail on my part because you made a generalizing assumption that was wrong? Big fail on my part for enjoying not having anything to do on a saturday morning, huge fail, monumental fail right there. From now on I will do push ups and jumping jacks and rest during commercial breaks.

Again, you don't have to go straight to working out... You can do many things to get your mind off of food. Have sex with your wife, clean the house, wash the car, etc. Not surprised the point has gone over your head. Keep qqing about weekend fasting though.

Didn't you just start last week? The early craving for food will be gone before you know it. I wouldn't ditch fasting on the weekends. I imagine that would throw off your whole routine. Maybe just adjust feeding window to an earlier time?

Made this on Tuesday and it was great. We used light coconut milk this time. We are going to try it with regular coconut milk next week.

Have you ever fried eggs with coconut oil? It's ridiculous how much better it tastes. The eggs are almost "silky" if that makes sense.

    Olive oil.

I've never used coconut oil. Isn't it expensive?

I've lately been trying to eat more sweet potatoes. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not huge fan. There are so many ways to cook them, I just need to find something that works.

My friend suggested this. Roast whole sweet potatoes, ahead of time if needed. Then cube roasted potatoes, saute with coconut oil and sea salt.

Not really. Now you can actually get the "good" stuff at Walmart. They used to sell some crap brand that wasn't pure.

    Coconut oil > olive oil

lol its a fail because of the QQing and having zero self control. Being a lazy sack of shit and then QQing about not being able to not think about food. LOLZ

I'll check it out. I'm sure Whole Foods has some pure expensive shit.

EVOO is my go to, I can take whatever I want from work, but I get tired of it. It smokes a lot, not ideal for all cooking.

You can also get it at Vitamin Shoppe. I actually eat the stuff with a spoon. Mix a packet of stevia, sprinkle on some cinnamon, stir...spoon it down the hatch.

Maybe no one else commented because it isn't important and adds nothing to the thread?

We've never roasted them first, but we generally cook our sweet potatoes this way. We've baked them in "fry" form a few times as well.
