Midstate01Wow nice travel on that no look. He took 4 steps.

Dallas is who he is. He doesn't have very good hands. I don't think thats something you can teach. He has gotten better, but still not very good with hands in traffic. Its who he is. And its the best we have in the middle.charliehustle14 wrote:
How is it whining?Big Gain wrote:

I didn't know starting 4 guards hindered anyones ability to catch a freakin basketball that hits them right in the hands.Big Gain wrote:
Starting 4 guards will do that, ya know.charliehustle14 wrote: God we are weak down low. How does Lauderdale not pull down that freakin board? Hit him right in the hands.
Laurderdale has got to be strong with the ball....especially when in traffic and against a Huggins-coached team known for always been active. -

Some fools would whine if their team was up by 50 at the half.charliehustle14 wrote:
It's not about playing any kind of defense. I agree, OSU is doing the right thing by being in the zone. But when you play a zone, you still got to bust ass and close out on the shooter. Lighty and Buford have both done a poor job of getting out to the perimeter today...it's not a flaw in the defensive scheme....it's just being lazy.centralbucksfan wrote:
Actually, you can shut the f up. You can't ask for a better half, 12pt lead, holding a team to 28. And Lauderdale played as well as he can. Yet YOU aren't satisfied? Get a clue and be realistic. OSU is playing as well as they can. You can't ask for more then that. If someone told you OSU would be up by 12 at half, you and anyone would take it in a heartbeat. When you play zone, teams are going to get open looks. It is what it is. Its also caused more problems and turnovers. Matta is playing the odds as he should. I knew they would be playing a lot of zone today, as they should.charliehustle14 wrote:
Oh shut up, don't be a cock. You know me from the JJHuddle days and know what I'm about, so don't get condescending with me. You know I'm a level headed fan, so I'd expect you to know better.centralbucksfan wrote:
Sick? WVU has 25 pts with under 3 to go in half? What more do u want? Sheesh...can't please anyone.charliehustle14 wrote: Our defense makes me sick sometimes with all the open looks we give up from behind the arc.
And Lighty makes me sick in this game. Threw one pass into the stands when he had both Turner and Simmons wide open. Then drove to the hole and threw it off the backboard...it didn't even look like he was attempting to make it. And then on defense, he stood around when the shot went up instead of crashing the boards.
The fact is OSU has given up way too many wide open looks from 3 range in this game. Holding them to 25 (28 now) is great....but it could be much less than that if we could get a hand in a face. WVU has been a struggling team this year when it comes to shooting, but that doesn't mean they'll miss the uncontested ones. You still got to put a hand in a face.
Just like against Purdue when Hummel got look..after look...after wide open look from deep.
Lauderdale has played well....my only gripe with him is not bringing in some of those 'gotta have' rebounds that hit him right in the hands in the first half. He's the strongest guy on the court, so no excuse for not being strong with the ball. I know of 2 instances where he couldn't hang on to a rebound and it led to 2 second chance threes by WVU. -

At least 4 steps!! OSU needs a bucket. Have had a couple good looks.Midstate01 wrote: Wow nice travel on that no look. He took 4 steps. -
charliehustle14This is why I was upset about giving up those 3 or 4 uncontested 3's in the first half. A 12 point lead is nothing against a Huggins team.
-
centralbucksfanWow, can we get a call goign to the basket??!
-
centralbucksfanHere come the freaking officials changing around!! Lighty gets hammerd, no call, Turner with a touch , a foul. BS.
-
charliehustle14Well, who ordered the meltdown?
Jesus Christ. -
charliehustle14Lighty will a bucket to hopefully stop some of the bleeding.
-
eersandbeersWow, the whining about the refs start as soon as WVU makes a run. Hilarious.
-
charliehustle14
That's what I was thinking.eersandbeers wrote: Wow, the whining about the refs start as soon as WVU makes a run. Hilarious. -
devil1197Not a good start to the 2nd half.
-
mallymal614It seems like Huggins has made adjustments halftime, while Matta has not. I'm not going to panic though. We will regroup.
-
mallymal614Where has this William Buford been all season!
-
charliehustle14Buford is silk
-
charliehustle14Buford is having some fun. Let him keep chucking it.
-
devil1197Billy Buford decides to show up.
-
charliehustle14Buford just missed that...damn. He was too open.

Reggie Miller said that the most difficult shots to make are the ones when no one is guarding you.charliehustle14 wrote: Buford just missed that...damn. He was too open. -

I always thought that too. Way too much time to think and get set.mallymal614 wrote:

charliehustle14Got to have both the FT's Lighty, damn it. Oh well, 1/2.
-
eersandbeersFor any OSU fans that may not know, that white haired ref is Tim Higgins and possibly the worst ref in the history of college basketball. As he just demonstrated by that call.
-
charliehustle14It's about time for Turner to start and take this one over.
But so far, Buford has been doing the honors. -
charliehustle14Way to not close out on another shooter. Awesome.
-
mallymal614West Virginia is killing us with the 3s! Just like Purdue did in the first half of that game.
