vball10setGot it from a pretty good source (the kid's dad) that this guy is transferring to OSU...Urban offered him last week...he told him he wanted someone who could "kick off, kick field goals AND punt"

mcburg93Any news about Proctor and Woodbey? Read that they are a packaged deal and might be flipping to Ok. I knew we talked about Woodbey flipping but not sure anyone said anything about proctor.

As of now, it looks like Woodbey is still a Buckeye. It's gonna be a battle until signing day though.mcburg93;1855716 wrote:Any news about Proctor and Woodbey? I think the root of this Oklahoma talk is because TJ Pledger is trying hard to get Woodbey to go to Norman with him. Pledger is a California kid like Woodbey, and is already committed to the Sooners, so he's trying his best to get Woodbey to flip.
I do worry that Proctor would also flip if Woodbey did. They have become good friends, and like I said before, Woodbey was very instrumental in getting Proctor to commit to OSU. Since Proctor is from Oklahoma, and the Sooners were once the leader for services, it would be interesting to see if he would decide to stay home if Woodbey flipped his commitment. Proctor's connection to Oklahoma may also be part of why Woodbey is now considering them, but I haven't heard a word about Proctor flipping at this point. -
ironman02On a more positive note, there seems to be a lot of OSU chatter surrounding several of the best players in the 2018 class.
Zamir White, the #1 RB in the class, is trending toward Ohio State right now. He's from North Carolina, but Georgia has long been the favorite to land him. However, it seems like he actually favors OSU. The problem is getting his Mom on board as well.
Anthony Cook, the #1 CB in the class, has been trending toward OSU for quite some time and some of the heavy hitters in the recruiting world have recently put in crystal ball picks for Cook to OSU.
5* OT Jackson Carman and 5* DE Micah Parsons are also favored to end up at OSU at this point in time, and may have both already committed behind the scenes, but likely won't make an official decision until close to signing day.
If OSU got all four of those guys, they would have seven 5* recruits in their class, with several other guys that are right on the cusp of ending up as 5 stars in the final rankings. -

Can he play right away since he redshirted or does that not count?vball10set;1855689 wrote:Got it from a pretty good source (the kid's dad) that this guy is transferring to OSU...Urban offered him last week...he told him he wanted someone who could "kick off, kick field goals AND punt"

Read today one of the four stars the Buckeyes have already just recently earned his fifth star. Cannot remember the name but will see if I can find the article.ironman02;1855745 wrote:On a more positive note, there seems to be a lot of OSU chatter surrounding several of the best players in the 2018 class.

Brenton Cox. Emory Jones and Taron Vincent are the other two 5* commits currently.mcburg93;1855762 wrote:Read today one of the four stars the Buckeyes have already just recently earned his fifth star. Cannot remember the name but will see if I can find the article. -

Great addition. Some talk of him being a stand up DE or playing OLB in college. He'll definitely be able to get after opposing QBs. With Vincent, Cox, and Chatfield committed, and Micah Parsons and Tyreke Smith as good possibilities, the 2018 D-Line recruiting class could be absolutely insane!
Teradja Mitchell announces tonight at 7. Sounds like OSU may actually be the choice, but trying not to get my hopes up too much. -

Very nice. The Florida to OSU pipeline continues

mcburg93This class is going to be another amazing one. I hope everyone that is committed stays. I know one or two usually leaves but would be nice to see them all stay for once.

ironman02Master Teague, RB out of Tennessee, committed to OSU today. He's currently a 3* back, but that's because he hadn't been to that many camps or national events. He recently ran sub 4.4 forties at both Bama and OSU at one-day camps, and Ohio State offered him on Friday. This gives OSU another RB to go with Brian Snead, and also to compliment H-Back Jaelen Gill.
Not sure what effect this will have on Zamir White because OSU may be looking to take three true RBs in the class, but it will be interesting if this finally cements him going to Georgia. The staff may have taken Teague's commitment because they thought White was headed to Georgia anyway, but we'll see how it shakes out.
Anyway, Teague is a rare combo of power and speed that you don't see very often. He's gonna rise in the next rankings release and is probably a Top 5 RB in the class. -

Been reading a lot about this kid the past week. Sounds like he will jump to a high four star soon. He has been under the radar until he started going to these camps. I thought Urban said he was looking at taking three RBs in this class. I hope this does not deter White if he was planning on committing to the Buckeyes.ironman02;1858250 wrote:Master Teague, RB out of Tennessee, committed to OSU today. Not sure why Ohio State would be one of the teams this kid is not allowed to go too. This stuff is ridiculous and just seems unfair. Not sure if the Buckeyes even have room for him. -
ironman02
His original choice came down to Auburn and OSU. I'm not sure he truly would even consider transferring to OSU (or if they want him now), but I can definitely understand why he would be annoyed at Auburn for blocking him from potentially doing that. The only time they would possibly see OSU is in the playoff or a bowl game. Seems very vindictive.mcburg93;1858989 wrote:http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2017/06/82933/dt-antwuan-jacksons-appeal-to-auburn-denied-calls-it-unfair-tigers-are-blocking-him-from-transferring-to-ohio-state

How does the alumni ticket process work? My fiancé is an alum, I need to have her get on that lol.slingshot4ever;1860665 wrote:Got my Oklahoma tickets through alumni ticket process today!! -
slingshot4everIt used to be two tickets to a randomly assigned game and you were required to buy if you put your name in the lottery. Starting last year they went to first come first serve on Ticketmaster. Now you can get 2 tickets to a premier or conference game and then you can get up to 4 tickets to a second game that is non conference and non premier (unlv and army this yr)
habe to donate 75 bucks a yr to get in alumni association. They offered a lifetime membership back when I graduated so I don't owe fees ever again
