2016 General College Football Discussion

    Soooo what if....

Washington loses. Clemson loses. They are both out.

OSU is in no matter what, IMO.

Does the winner of the B1G go or does Michigan? Or both? And we get 3 B1G teams in? Michigan will be no worse than 5th come Tuesday.

Or do they somehow move an OU(with a win) to the top 4. Or Colorado.
  • wildcats20
I would assume Colorado or Oklahoma would go ahead of Michigan, just based on winning and losing the last game played. But it's hard to tell...
  • wildcats20
Also, in the next 2-7 days you're going to hear the BIGGEST outcry against a team(OSU) getting in ever. Other than a few national guys, like Herbie, everyone is going to be on the OSU out train. Especially if PSU wins on Saturday night.

I just can't see them leaving OSU out. But I am still nervous.

There's no way OSU is a "lock" at this point. If Washington blows out Colorado and penn state blows out Wisconsin, I don't think OSU will get in over both of them.

I do think OSU will get in, but it's not a lock at this point.

    4. Washington
    5. Michigan
    6. Wisconsin
    7. Oklahoma
    8. Penn State

Ohio State is sitting at #2, I can not foresee them falling to #5. Now if they were #3 I would be concerned, #4 I would be doubting.
  • Ironman92
If OSU is #2 Tuesday and Michigan is #5

They are locked in. They just are.

Not sure PSU beating Wisconsin even gets them above Michigan.

Penn State's best road win is at 6-6 Indiana.

How is this for a scenario....

    Clemson loses to Va Tech
    Washington loses to Colorado

Is it Alabama, OSU, UM, Big Ten winner? UM would own head to head over Colorado for final spot and OSU owns head to head over Oklahoma....

I think they'd probably put in Oklahoma in that situation. Over Michigan.

Let's say Oklahoma St wins that game...

Then I guess there could be 3 B1G teams then haha

Can CBS stop with the "best game. best conference" advertising they do every week for the SEC? The SEC blows outside of Bama.

    Tennessee almost beat Vanderbilt

#15-#25 is a train wreck lol

Stanford beats Rice and goes from unranked to #17 and Virginia Tech beats Virginia and goes from unranked to #19

    Florida and Auburn barely drop

It really is overrated. You have #1, but then it goes 15,18,21?

One team I think is really dangerous in a BCS bowl is Western Michigan. They just continue to get better and absolutely curb stomped a pretty good UT team last week

How can you advocate for Lamar Jackson and not Patrick Mahomes? You can't reward one pure system QB and disregard another.

On the contrary, I've seen some people wanting Dalvin Cook considered. No thanks...when Jackson's rushing numbers alone are better than Cook's and Louisville won the head to head by 6 TD.

One of the toughest and weakest Heisman years I can remember.
  • Classyposter58
Lamar Jackson IMO has just ran out of gas carrying this team. To think that Louisville was in the playoff hunt most of the season is beyond impressive, and it's entirely due to him.

I will say this Heisman race totally was a dud this season. We were supposed to have Watson, McCaffery, Cook, Barrett and Mayfield as absolute stars. Yet all were very underwhelming

I wanted to add another question to the mix, what if OSU was ND. Seriously say ND beat Michigan, Oklahoma and Wisconsin but lost to Penn State and Penn State went 11-2 winning the Big 10. Does Penn State get in over a 11-1 Notre Dame team with the same resume as Ohio State?

Curtis Samuel should win the Heisman.

All other players are straight trash including Jackson.

    ND is absolutely terrible.

Please come up with a more reasonable scenario.

    Latest CFP Rankings

    1. Alabama
    2. Ohio State
    3. Clemson
    4. Washington
    5. Michigan
    6. Wisconsin
    7. Penn State
    8. Colorado
    9. Oklahoma
    10. Oklahoma State

It'll be interesting to see if the Wisconsin/Penn State winner jumps Michigan if Washington or Clemson lose.
  • wildcats20
And it's reiterated that OSU and PSU are not close. There is no way that OSU misses the playoff.
  • Sonofanump
    Done deal.
