I agree. But, and this is a big but, if he could implement his offense while still keeping the traditional really strong defense at LSU, that would be bad news for the rest of the NCAA.

Disagree. The SEC has nobody who wants to take the 2nd spot from Alabama. It's the most parity the conference has had in 20 years. Who is the #2 program?

Florida? Texas A&M? Tennessee? LSU? Ole Miss?

Sure, you have to beat Bama, but it's not like he's taking over a team where his school is 7th or 8th best. Also, Herman's system has also never really been seen in the SEC. Teams have tried it, but not to the extent he will try. It may or may not work, but it's worth the try. In the end, if he's Ohio State bound...much rather go to LSU and hang out until the job comes open. If he goes to Texas, it's possible he would never leave.

Didnt we see something like this at LSU last year when Miles was "out" and his job got saved? I wouldnt put Herman to LSU as a done deal. I imagine his team is leaking out some information to up the ante from Texas....

Houston seems to be showing the affects of their coach potentially dumping them for a bigger-name school, as they're not looking all that solid against a decent Memphis team.

I don't get this team lol. You hammer Oklahoma and Louisville, but possibly get smoked by both SMU and Memphis

North Carolina with their typical choke job in a rivalry game. That football program is just never gonna turn the corner. It's unbelievable.

Or maybe not. Seems they've put up 20 straight points and have the lead in the fourth. Although Memphis is driving.

As good as Fedora has been, I wouldn't be too incredibly upset if he went to Baylor.
  • ironman02
Houston with basically the worst defense possible, and now they're gonna lose.

Agreed. He has definitely improved the program, but they have so many bad losses. Just not consistent enough.

It's weird watching these games where no one GAF about actually playing defense.

Washington is slaughtering Washington st right now

Nebraska sucking and Washington dominating. Things that don't help.

If WMU, Houston and BSU all lose...I think that would put Navy as the top non power 5 ranked team

It would ....but they still have to win their conference game. Navy still has three games left.

Even if WMU wins, if you look at Navy's SoS vs WMU Navy should be ranked highe if they win out. That would put them in a NY6 bowl game.

Western Michigan absolutely pasting the perpetual MAC West Runners Up in Toledo. Consider that Western is blowing them out for the division in 2016 and NIU took them down in 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011 and 2010 and 2005.

Just insane to think since winning the MAC in 2004 that UT hasn't even won a division title and been runner up losing in the critical game for it 7 consecutive times. And as a BG fan I'll admit they've been pretty good for awhile now for the most part, even in the late 90s they were always battling Marshall

Washington looked really good. Held a Wazzou team averaging 45 PPG to 17 at their place. They never let them in the game at all.
  • Azubuike24
If they beat Colorado (if they beat Utah) or USC (if Utah beats Colorado), they would either get another top 10 win or avenge their only loss.

Hard to imagine they aren't a playoff lock at that point.

They also just knocked one of their best wins out of the top 25.

Michigan beating Colorado by 17 may be a slight factor in the end

If Colorado beats Utah and Wash beats Colorado....Wash will have wins over Colorado (probably drop them to around #12), Stanford (around #20) and Utah will be around #25. Honestly right there with Clemson if Bama beats Auburn and Fla beats Flor St.

It might be a factor, but if Michigan loses tomorrow, they are a 2-loss, non-champion. Shouldn't matter much. If Michigan wins, it clearly favors Washington in multiple ways.

Well it wouldn't look great for those trying to put Washington over OSU

    Washington State is horrible.

I like Washington and think they are a playoff team. But Washington State absolutely sucks.
  • Azubuike24
They would've been in the Pac 12 title game had they won...

    They are Nebraska or Iowa...equivalent.
  • iclfan2
In talent level or circumstance? Everyone leading up to this week thinking wsu had a chance is bc they never saw them play
