Beat the Trojans by 50 early in the seasonmcburg93;1825561 wrote:Bama is winning in a weak Sec. I do think they are the best team in the country but they are no where a head above the rest. About 6 games against the top 30. The SEC isn't strong but I'd guess Auburn/Tennessee/LSU/Florida/Arkansas/Ole Miss with their QB/A&M are a bunch of Nebraska's.
We'll see how successful they are come bowl season (often with a home field type advantage) -

Like I said Bama is the best team in the country. But I do not believe its by a huge margin that I have heard all season. Usc was not good early in the season. They finally got it going in the last month or so, and looking very good doing it. If Bama played Usc now I do not think it would be the blow out it was early in the season. But that is how it goes and right now Bama is the best in the land.Ironman92;1825563 wrote:Beat the Trojans by 50 early in the season

Not really sure your point. My point is Bama is a dominant team relevant to the rest of college football. Your post isn't necessarily wrong but doesn't mean Bama is not a dominant team this year.mcburg93;1825561 wrote:Bama is winning in a weak Sec. 2. Ohio St.
3. Michigan
4. Clemson
5. Wisconsin
6. Washington
7. OU
8. Penn St.
9. Colorado
10. Oklahoma St.
Louisville falls to 11, Houston back in at 18. -
wildcats20First time in 56 years the B1G has had 3 teams in the top 5.
Also, OSU sits at 2nd favorites to win the championship at 2/1. -
wildcats20Texas is firing Charlie Strong.

MulvaWhat a shocking development.

MulvaI honestly don't understand how so many people are like "I feel bad for Charlie Strong". He had 3 years and he's below .500 at Texas. He has the worst winning percentage in school history. They are worse in year 3 than they were in year 1. What the fuck is anyone seeing that I'm not? He was terrible.

Agreed. Also hard to feel bad for a guy who is about to make 10 million to get firedMulva;1825681 wrote:I honestly don't understand how so many people are like "I feel bad for Charlie Strong". ironman02Apparently LSU really wants Jimbo Fisher to be their next head coach. Does anyone else think that Jimbo is a complete moron?
It just seems like he babbles incoherently all the time. Maybe he's a great coach, and a great recruiter, but something about him seems off to me. -

Maybe because he, apparently, hasnt been told about it.Mulva;1825681 wrote:I honestly don't understand how so many people are like "I feel bad for Charlie Strong". But yeah, i dont feel sorry for him. A coach does that at OSU and he would be gone. -

I have no idea why he would leave FSU, unless he's just tired of it there.ironman02;1825731 wrote:Apparently LSU really wants Jimbo Fisher to be their next head coach. Does anyone else think that Jimbo is a complete moron?

FSU is a better job than LSU. You don't have to compete with Saban. You have a virtual cake walk to the ACC Championship every year, Clemson is the only other team there.
Maybe he'll use it as leverage for more money from FSU. -

One would hope those making the decision would communicate it with the coach prior to leaking it to the media. Hopefully, this gives Herman some reservations.thavoice;1825735 wrote:Maybe because he, apparently, hasnt been told about it.

I think a lot of people 'feel bad' for him simply because he's a good guy. I don't think anyone feels he's getting a raw deal or anything, it's just that he wasn't able to get the job done...that, and the way he was 'welcomed' by the Texas fans and media wasn't ideal either. Now, if it were Brian Kelly getting fired???Mulva;1825681 wrote:I honestly don't understand how so many people are like "I feel bad for Charlie Strong". He had 3 years and he's below .500 at Texas. As an ND fan... fuck Brian Kelly. He deserves to be canned. Pisses me off the ad has already come out and said Brian Kelly isn't going anywhere. If we have a chance to get Herman and don't fire Kelly I'm going to be pissedvball10set;1825743 wrote:I think a lot of people 'feel bad' for him simply because he's a good guy. I honestly do not know a single ND fan that likes Kelly. I do not follow them to know what the issues are with him.Crimson streak;1825760 wrote:As an ND fan... fuck Brian Kelly. Strong had a good run under Urban in Florida. I wonder if he will be called upon to come up and help out at OSU like Bama did last year.
I think Herman will have a NC if he ends up with Texas within five years. That guy is a rock star coach. I wonder if he does leave Houston, if he ends up taking Major Applewhite with him to Texas. -

wildcats20So what would happen if, and it's such a ginormous IF, Alabama loses to Auburn AND the SEC championship game against Florida?
They would end up with 1, maybe 2 top 25 wins. Do they still make the playoff? Or would the SEC be left out entirely(a 2, maybe 3, loss Florida isn't making it)? -

No way they get in if they finish the season with 2 straight losses.wildcats20;1825769 wrote:So what would happen if, and it's such a ginormous IF, Alabama loses to Auburn AND the SEC championship game against Florida?

Depends on who is running the circus. If it is the boosters and they decided but the school hasnt officially made the decision, but will follow that lead. Doesnt matter.......its a joke for anyone to hear about getting fired by not hearing it from the employer themselves.queencitybuckeye;1825741 wrote:One would hope those making the decision would communicate it with the coach prior to leaking it to the media. and I doubt it will affect Herman. He will get paid to go to either Texas, LSU or FSU...
Or oregon... -

I tend to agree, but I also wouldn't be totally shocked if they got in.SportsAndLady;1825771 wrote:No way they get in if they finish the season with 2 straight losses. -
iclfan2I can't believe Kelly isn't on the chopping block. All the players are is, and he is a giant ass. Blaming a loss on the players (said it wasn't a coaching problem) should get him canned.

they would be out IMO...could open door for florida to be in if they can beat FSU this weekwildcats20;1825769 wrote:So what would happen if, and it's such a ginormous IF, Alabama loses to Auburn AND the SEC championship game against Florida?

Classyposter58Why would Jimbo Fisher leave for LSU? Idk maybe it's because I live up here but I don't see anyway in which that's a better job than Florida State, especially given that the ACC is much easier
