Yeah, I agree with ghosthunter. Definitely enjoy the updates. Thanks, devil1197.

Should be interesting to see what Seantrel's views are on Kiffin as he will be the USC head coach next season.

Personally I hate Kiffin and think he is a douche.
  • ironman02
I'll be disgusted if OSU loses Henderson to that guy. Can't stand Kiffin.

devil, do you know if the Buckeyes are targeting that Baxter kid?
  • ironman02
Another question for devil1197. Have you heard any new news about Jordan Hicks? Supposedly there are rumors flying around that he could end up at OSU after all. Any truth to that?

Well well well....Haven't we become the popular little flower devil. Seriously though, good info, interesting to say the least. Keep the information train rolling.

Watching the UK/UF basketball game. Good shot of Urban Meyer busy texting and grinning. I'm sure that means UF is getting a player who was previously committed to UT as I type this. :)

You should start your own thread, "Ask devil". LOL. Any news on the recruitment, or lack thereof, of the Jr. QB Cardale Jones of Glenville?

They contacted him once they heard Pete was leaving but nothing new has come from it.

I highly doubt they get any USC decommitters.

The rumors were flying today that Hicks had committed to both Texas and OSU lol. One poster on Bucknuts received a facebook message from a friend in Texas who stated that Hicks was a Buckeye due to him being able to participate in spring ball (I took it as just another internet rumor)

Throughout the day on Tuesday news reports have surfaced on Jordan Hicks and potential college commitments. It has been reported that he has committed to Texas and Ohio State, and rumors have floated regarding an impending commitment to Florida as well. However all of this would be news to Hicks.

    "Hicks is not committed anywhere.
The life of a five-star recruit being recruited by schools with three of the largest fan bases in the country can get hectic when it comes time to make a decision, and it all came to a head on Tuesday with the news of commitments.

Hicks however wants to set the record straight. "It's not true at all that I have committed to Ohio State, Texas, or Florida. I am still in the process of sitting down with my coach and my mom and figuring out where I am going to be going for the next four years."

He continued, "When it is time for that I will let everybody know, but nothing has been confirmed. I have not committed anywhere, but hopefully soon I will."

In fact, Hicks says that Wednesday is when he will really begin to sort things through.

"I'm going to sit down with Coach (Carlton) Gray I think tomorrow," said Hicks. "He has been through everything with the process and knows what is good and what is bad. He is going to give me some input, and I am going to tell him what I see."

He continued, "Then I am going to sit down with my mom and talk about everything I discussed with him, and she is going to give her input, and I will give mine, and then hopefully we can come to a conclusion."

Until then there will be no decision from Hicks, and all three schools are clearly in the mix"

Thanks for the information on Hicks. Good to know that OSU truly has a shot.

From everything I've read they have a shot but I don't think they are #1 or anything.

Its a guy that I'd love OSU to land but I wouldn't be crushed because LB is a spot we are loaded at.

I wouldn't be crushed either, but I just don't want him to go to Florida or Texas. If it's not Ohio State, then let it be Iowa St. or New Mexico St., just not UF or UT.

I'm hoping that Henderson goes to OSU. I'm a diehard Michigan fan BUT I dont want to see any kid going to usc to play under that slimeball Kiffin. Tressel is a good man and a good coach and hopefully the henderson's see through the kiffin slimemachine.

I have a feeling we lose Henderson to USC. That makes me sick.
  • devil1197
the Ohio State University has picked up a solid commitment from:

3* Brad Roby DB/WR 6'0 175 4.4. He was 1st team all Georgia his SR year in the largest football division.

    awesome news.

Good pickup... could be a diamond in the rough. I think our defensive prospects do very well if they have a good head on their shoulders and are smart, which this kid does.

Roby is going to be a very good football player imo. He had a pretty good Senior year and didn't go to many camps (where most players get their rankings).

Nice size and frame to work with and very good speed at 4.4. Plus he isn't some dumb player who will give us problems, got a 27 on his ACT.

Is Roby the one who was previously commited to Vanderbilt? Sounds like a solid pick up for us. As previously stated I hope that Henderson doesn't commit to USC but I think UF is who we have to worry about more after getting worked on by the guys at the Army All-American game.
  • devil1197
Yes, Roby committed to Vandy but started getting offers from bigger schools as he performed well during his final season. If OSU didn't come in so fast I'd bet he would have selected Auburn.

For Henderson I think its down between OSU and USC. Kelly is having an in-home visit with Henderson so we'll see how that goes.

any of the Tenessee kids opening back up? preferably ones that had considered OSU.

Yes, some of the players are already decommitting but I don't think OSU has a legit shot at any of them tbh.

OSU will focus on Henderson, James, Bryant, and Hicks with possible late offers if things fall through.
  • charliehustle14
    Awesome get with Roby.

Any news on where he'll be used? He has a pretty sick highlight reel of him playing WR. But wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being a very good DB for us.

What i see with this class is speed, speed, and more speed.

    According to Rivals:

    4.4 guys:
    Roby
    Louis
    Brown
    Hagan (Linebacker)

    4.5 guys:
    Williams
    Smith
    Reed
    McVey

We also have some DE's coming in with some pretty good 40's for being DE's.
  • devil1197
Hagan could be used as a safety.

Both Brown and Roby could be WR's or DB's (which is the position I think they'll end up at).
