Ohio State Recruiting Thread

devil1197News concerning Floyd.
Farrell has reported that East team players are saying Floyd to OSU. He has selected his school and has told a few players. He is also talking to Henderson about playing together at OSU and has already started recruiting for his school.
There is too much information on Floyd to OSU while its only rumors from Florida insiders on Floyd. OSU hasn't even started looking for another DT and with the scholarships they have along with depth they would at least need to add another DT if you think about it.
Take it for what its worth, I know I am. Saturday will tell us all but this seems like a player OSU could easily get and easily lose out on. -
jhay78^^Great- hope you're right devil.

I said we could easily lose Floyd as well as landing him.
OSU and UF insiders are stating different things.
Rivals is stating OSU but the UF rumors are making them state that UF is making a run.
Rumors have said that players think Floyd to OSU and that Henderson/Floyd have been talking to play at OSU.
Nothing is for certain, so I don't know if you want me to be right or not. -
OneBuckeyeFloyd was quoted saying two things... the program he selected will "stand the test of time" and he has "already started recruiting" for that school at the AA game. There aren't as many Gator targets at the AA game as OSU, but that seems favorable for OSU. There have been numerous Gator insiders claiming he is going to UF... however they also said Joyner was an OSU lock.
Where on rivals did you hear the east team saying he is going to OSU... earlier today I read someone speculating that the east team guys said he was going to UF. -

It wasn't in an article on Rivals. A thread discussion in which Farrell was in said that East players noted Floyd to OSU, but once again take it as just a rumor.OneBuckeye wrote: Floyd was quoted saying two things... the program he selected will "stand the test of time" and he has "already started recruiting" for that school at the AA game. I think with all the talk he'll end up a Gator especially with Hankins committing so quickly. I know we have room for both but it just seems odd. -
devil1197Farrell updated his AA announcement watch and stated that he wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd commit to the Gators.
Very interesting and my thoughts coming true. Seemed odd that Hankins wanted to commit this week out of the blue, but I thought it wouldn't matter with us having room.
Should be an interesting Saturday that could see Anderson to WVU and Floyd to UF. Those are just the rumblings currently around AA camp but you know kids and their wanting attention ways. Things could change easily by Saturday or this could be a smoke screen. -
OneBuckeyeI will not be counting on Floyd. I think we get Roby Bryant and Anderson . Henderson's I feel good about too.
-
devil1197Just from what I've read today I think we get Bryant, Henderson, Roby, and James with possible late offers to fill the class. Recruiting is crazy and its hard to post news because it changes so quickly with teenagers. One moment it looks bad and another it looks good vice versa.

SpeedofsandFlorida may lose Travon Van and Demar Dorsey to WVU because of grades. We used to lose guys like that to FSU, but they finally got busted for all the academic cheating.
Why does WVU have such lower standards ? -
devil1197
Lol beats me. That is one of the reasons Anderson may choose WVU on Saturday because he knows the academic standards are nowhere near as hard.Speedofsand wrote: Florida may lose Travon Van and Demar Dorsey to WVU because of grades. Umm, I get that, I just took the "too much information on Floyd to OSU while its only rumors from Florida insiders on Floyd" to mean OSU has an edge here.devil1197 wrote:

ironman02This may just be wishful thinking on my part, but if Floyd thinks his announcement will be a surprise, and most people think he is now going to UF, then a commitment to the Buckeyes probably would shock everyone.
Or maybe he just wasn't counting on all the Florida talk to get out before his commitment. -
darbypitcher22I can't stand when kids play games like this.
Pick a school, stick by it, unless something absolutely unforseen happens that makes you change it -
ironman02I would say Carroll possibly leaving USC should help OSU with Henderson. Let's hope Pete heads to Seattle. If Floyd has decided to go to UF, I really hope he's not trying to persuade Henderson to join him.
Not sure if it has been mentioned on this thread, but has anyone else heard that if Anderson does verbal to WVU tomorrow, it may not be set in stone?
Interested to see what Floyd and Anderson have to say tomorrow...would be nice to get at least one of them, but I won't hold my breath. It's looking more and more like this class will close out with Henderson, Bryant, and maybe James/Roby, missing on Floyd, Hicks, and Anderson. -
BoatShoesOn the rivals board people are actually saying from "reliable sources" that it's gonna be South Carolina for Floyd...and it's not USCe homers either...take it FWIW...I think, sadly, tOSU gets an O'fer.
-
devil1197Boat, it has gone from OSU to UF to SC within 3 days lol.
We'll find out tomorrow. -
SpeedofsandOSU is looking 100 % done deal for S. Henderson
I just had a flashback to John Hicks in the Rose Bowl Parade last week. One of my all time favorite Bucks -
devil1197Yep, Henderson was down between OSU and USC with the Buckeyes leading. Pete leaving and the possible sanctions coming just landed us the top recruit in the country (hopefully!).
-
ironman02Floyd to South Carolina could very well happen. He hinted at a "surprising" pick. Not so sure that the SC program has "withstood the test of time", but who knows why he even said that.
I don't know what to believe though. Again, this may be wishful thinking, but I think all this back and forth throughout the last few days may be a smokescreen to create anticipation. It may end up being Ohio State after all.
It's looking more and more like Carroll to Seattle is a done deal, which should definitely mean that Henderson will be a Buckeye. I'm not counting on it until he makes it official. -
devil1197Floyd to Florida will be announced at halftime.
Anderson to WVU as stated before.
Not a huge surprise but OSU will go on to target some other players. They have already contacted some USC commits. -
Cleveland BuckAnother weak end to the class.
-
devil1197
Yeah because getting guys like Henderson, Bryant, Roby, and possibly James will be so weak lol.Cleveland Buck wrote: Another weak end to the class. -
Cleveland BuckDid they get them yet? Ok.
-
devil1197
Nope but Henderson was down to OSU and USC. Make a guess on that one.Cleveland Buck wrote: Did they get them yet? Ok.
Bryant has been a Buckeye since the offer, Roby may commit this weekend as he is in Columbus as we speak, and we are the leader for James.
Quit bitching before the recruiting season isn't over lol. You sound like the guys on Bucknuts. -
j_crazyany announcements of note? I don't get NBC so I'm not watching the AA game.
