devil1197Then let him go lol.
UF has 25 commits right now and can take 28. They still need other positions outside of WR. -
SpeedofsandLouis should be a Buckeye. I have not seen Louis' name pop up in a long time. Boone or Coxson have been discussed. I still think Florida loses a couple from the 25 verbals. Dorsey took a visit to Mich. this weekend, but I'm still hearing his grades may be an issue. I hope he was just using a free winter trip to see his SLOWER cousin, Denard Robinson.
Taylor was actually here the weekend before Kiffin left, they finally announced him last night. Last 3 might be OL Chaz Green, LB Christian Jones, and a WR. Dillon Baxter is visiting and I hear he really wants in. -
charliehustle14I'd hate to lose Louis because of how explosive he is, but if we do, we'll be fine. We still have Fields and Jackson who are both pretty explosive themselves and still have 4 years of eligibility ahead of them after being redshirted last year.

rocket31florida is assembling the best class i have ever seen, especially defensively. wow.

I bet in 4 years you don't think its one of the bestrocket31 wrote: florida is assembling the best class i have ever seen, especially defensively. wow. -
j_crazyI understand what you're saying, some of the kids might not pan out. But still this many VHT (very highly touted) kids is a great class regardless of how they pan out.

Speedofsandwoowee I'll bet it takes less than 4 years, haha.
-
buckeyes_wooweeOn paper I will agree it looks fantastic. But I just don't see it being the best of all time. Just because you get a lot of top name recruits doesn't mean anything. I mean look at the top 10 ranked players from the last 10 recruiting classes. About half of them were overrated.
-
WriterbuckeyeWhen they figure out Urban lied to them and isn't going to be around -- or he dies because of his illness -- then probably a few will end up leaving on their own.
-
buckeyes_wooweeI'm sure a nice chunk will transfer due to lack of playing time.

HeathAlum21Remember Jimmy Clausen's recruiting class and the one following that one? Everyone said ND was poised to win atleast a NC or two with all of those recruits. How did that one work out?

QuintFor the first time. . . my Lakota West HS insiders are telling me Hicks is leaning Florida!!!!
I don't know what to believe anymore. -
charliehustle14Yeah I also heard that Hicks is not going to be at OSU.
-
ironman02If Hicks isn't coming to OSU, I hope he ends up at Texas. I don't wanna see him at Florida at all.
-
QuintI agree 100%. Texas is probably my second favorite program. I respect Mack Brown a lot.
-
Tiger2003I believe Hicks is going to be a Gator....don't really bother me we are just fine at Linebacker...
-
SpeedofsandHmm, turns out Louis was the 'mystery' recruit this weekend at Florida. It was supposed to be super top secret hush hush.
http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports/highschool/recruiting/blog/2010/01/louis_could_be_rethinking_comm.html
Louis visited UF this past weekend. He's also planning to visit Virginia Tech with Atlantic quarterback and Hokies commit Mark Leal and possibly North Carolina in the next two weeks before national signing day on Feb. 3. -
ironman02After the way Meyer treated him, he'd be crazy to even consider going to Florida. They probably won't have room for him anyway...again.
Louis should stick to his commitment. Hopefully his "secret" visit to Gainesville wasn't a secret to Tressel and staff. Tressel usually encouarges recruits to take their visits and make sure they weigh all their options. However, if he doesn't REALLY want to be a Buckeye, then he shouldn't be. -

nah--don't believe it...his momma won't let him get too far away--trust me on this oneQuint wrote: For the first time. . . my Lakota West HS insiders are telling me Hicks is leaning Florida!!!!

darbypitcher22Looks like we're losing guys here as the date gets closer and closer...

jpake1What's new? JT and staff recruit quite well. But it's commonly known that they don't close out very well. I think it has something to do with most of the class knowing they want to be Buckeyes from day one, and that JT doesn't put the full court pressure on other players. I'd imagine JT's "look around and make sure this is the place for you" routine is A LOT different than Urban's routine. JT and staff are like the sales associates at stores that ask if you need any help and then let you be, while Urban is the guy that sticks around and helps you buy a baseball glove and gets you to also buy the glove oil.
-
charliehustle14I agree. I think Tressel's philosophy is that he wants the kids that want to be Buckeyes. He doesn't want to have to put all kinds of pressure and twist their arm to come to OSU.
Basically if he's gotta pressure you non stop to come to Columbus, then well, you shouldn't become a Buckeye.
