2015 Ohio State Football Discussion

I can't recall a time in my life when I erupted with such pure joy.

I was the only OSU fan in the room, shitfaced. People were like....wow...wtf?

Braxton posted a picture of him with a bunch of Advocare products...possible NCAA violation.

  • SportsAndLady
    Lol jesus Braxton
  • Automatik
What rule would be be breaking?

    Also, fuck Advocare.
  • lakeflyerMike

"The obvious issue here? NCAA violations. Players, under NCAA bylaws, are not allowed to use their notoriety to help companies profit. Advocare actually has an entire PDF that lays out what is and isn’t allowed for student-athletes. Using a photo of yourself on social media is specifically mentioned. Miller also isn’t supposed to use his name on his Advocare microsite."

Is he just an advocate salesman? Nothing saying they can't have a job...Any company would profit by an athlete working. If Braxton worked at buckeye Donuts that place would he jam packed anytime we was on shift.

The rule is absolutely stupid. I'm not a big fan of paying players as they already get a substantial stipend and free college/benefits, but the fact that they can't hold a job without following all these stupid rules is a joke.

Anyways, Braxton won't play a minute of football next year. Cardale is going to be your starter and JT the backup; there's no doubt about it.

Imagine how big a deal this would've been 2 years ago, but now it's pretty much meh...

Fuck it. Let's see what our 4th string qb can do.

The embarrassment of riches at the RB spot continues in Columbus. The Buckeyes now have commitments from the 1, 3, and 4 RBS in the country for 2016.

Watched about 10 minutes of the Michigan spring game. Holy shit they look so awful. Qb and oline are going to continue to be huge problems

I hate to say anything remotely positive about scUM but I have to give Harbaugh the benefit of the doubt that after fall camp the O-line will be in better shape. QB play, who knows.

"Shane Morris leads Michigan's quarterback competition http://es.pn/1C1SaX4"

Can we just add the 'W' already for '15?!

The qbs couldn't complete simple slants. Not just drops, they weren't giving the wrs a chance. Best thing was the color guy, guessing a um guy, kept saying that qb, wr, and oline were their 3 deepest spots. Maybe wr but the other two were laughable. Um is going to bank on Ruddock or whatever his name is coming in and playing well, the same guy who got beat out at freaking Iowa last year. Sounds like things are still pretty ugly in AA. I have Michigan friends who just swore Harbaugh would suddenly make their qbs into Andrew luck. It's hilarious how they think Harbaugh is some sort of God. Good football coach? Of course. Top coach? Meh, prove it. Not winning the pac12 with AL at qb isn't that great...

Pretty convenient for you to leave out his tremendous success turning around the 49ers.
  • Automatik
And look at Stanford before he arrived.

With free agency and the draft? Yea...

Wonder if he leaves after this year and goes to indy and reunites with luck.

I don't see Harbaugh going back until he's given Full control, he'll want to be the HC and the Main decision maker regarding Personnel.
  • WebFire
LOL. None of those QBs will be the starter in the fall. Also, the OL was split up because of the draft. I'm more concerned about playmaking abilities from the WRs. Defense will be pretty solid.
  • Midstate01
Like I said if they're counting on a guy who couldn't win the job at IOWA, that's not a good problem to have.

True. But it does buy them some time. One of Hoke's biggest screw ups was QB recruiting. But the difference between Hoke and Harbaugh is that Hoke would have said "Well, uh, this is what we have to work with.". Where Harbaugh says "Our QBs are garbage and I'm going to immediately work on getting some transfers in here, and lock up another QB in this class".

He did pretty well for San Diego in college as well.

Is that a joke? Gardner was the #1 DT-QB and Morris was the #4 PP-QB coming out of high school putting up unreal displays. But Hoke couldn't develop a caterpillar into a butterfly let alone a QB, Harbaugh should be able to develop much much better
