Game time is when it looks like that part of the state changes from snow to ice. Atlanta-level dumb.

Perhaps the aftermath of the great, 3-inch blizzard of 2014 will keep the number of fans and students in the Dean Dome lower than usual tonight. Given the weather conditions and location of the arena, students will have to take to the roads to get to the dome. Although, for a game like this, where there's a will, there's a way.

Students will be able to take the unfilled seats.

    Yes

Game is off. Dookies are not leaving Durham.

I got my ticket in hand. Reschedule date TBD.
Will sell to anyone on OC who supports the Dukies for face. If you are a heels fan and want to go to the game you can buy it for 200. :)

Damn. That sucks. Apparently, the Duke bus could not reach campus to pick the team up, per reports.

Hopefully, the game will not be rescheduled at an inopportune time, such as Thursday of next week, right before the Syracuse game in Cameron the following Saturday.

Well it is now February 20. Go ahead and cry.

Nah. I'm choosing to view it from a positive angle, as preparation for the quick turnaround of the NCAA Tournament.

And along the way, hopefully K makes it 8 out of 10 against Ol' Roy.

I'm actually shocked they did it that soon. Figured it would be closer to the season finale.

Not being all that confident in a Duke win over there, especially since this is not a down year for the Heels in the typical sense of the phrase (see MSU, Louisville and Kentucky as well as the recent upturn), I'm glad the game in the Dome is sooner than later. A loss closer to Selection Sunday always hurts more.

Now, Duke obviously still plays UNC in Cameron. So there will be a tough, end-of-season game regardless.

With that said, there is no question that Duke playing 3 games in 5 days next week, with Syracuse being the last, is not ideal. The Orange, meanwhile, will have had only one game that week and a full two days rest heading into the affair in Cameron. These are not tears, they are facts.

As a fan, however, it's awesome. That makes for a great few days of basketball. Carolina one night and then Syracuse practically the next. Awesome.

Syracuse and Pitt has been a good one.
  • reclegend22
Can't believe Syracuse is going to pull this one out. Pitt handed this game away with a big red bow. SMH.
  • Mulva
    Boeheim can't believe it.

He got fouled on both arms.
  • reclegend22
To be fair to Boeheim, in the old Big East, three body parts must've been fouled before a call was made.
  • Mulva
    Ennis. Beast.
  • gorocks99
    What a shot.
  • reclegend22
Wow. What a way to lose a bet. My new low.
  • reclegend22
A pretty awesome shot by Ennis.

As a Duke fan, I am glad the Orange won. If it wasn't before, the pressure of being unbeaten is on Syracuse's back now, as the media, like it did with Stanford in 2004, will inevitably begin to talk destiny and Can They Do It? I am hoping Syracuse is unblemished heading into Cameron next Saturday.

I was really hoping the Carolina-Duke game would be played last night and the Dean Dome would've been packed with students. The Dome obviously gets loud for big games, especially Duke games, but I'd say it would have been absolutely insane with nothing but students in the lower level. Now things will be tough for both teams because they'll have to jam the game in and create a pretty hectic schedule, but there's not much you can really do about it. The next time there's snow on the way, K just needs to get his ass over to Chapel Hill a little earlier. :)

Carolina just got a big win over Pitt, 75-71.

The Heels have now won 6 in a row and are sitting at 17-7, 7-4 ACC. Tough stretch of games coming up though.

McAdoo was outstanding with 24 points and 12 rebounds. He has really been playing well lately, and that is probably the driving factor behind this win streak.
  • swamisez
Carolina when they decide to play hard and rebound can beat anyone in the country. When they decide not to put out max effort and settle for jumpers, they are quite pedestrian.
  • Ironman92
Shitty start by UNC in the first few minutes and McAdoo left the court
  • Ironman92
    17-3 in first 6 min

    FSU out rebounded 10-4

They'll et off the bus soon.... But yikes. I can hear I 02 yelling from Columbus
