Need this win to stay on conversation for last 4 in...
  • The Answer
    Huge block by KBD.

Big win for osu. Iowa reeling big time, but will beat Indiana Tuesday.

More importantly though, Indiana is at least co-champs. At Iowa Tuesday and Maryland at home Sunday. 2 chances to clinch outright.
  • The Answer
Big win but ton of work to do for OSU. Have to beat MSU on their Sr day and probably 2 in BTT.

Tulsa loss was a help. Seton Hall win was not. Nor was Pittsburgh's

For the first time in his career, Loving played to his potential in a big game.

IMO, OSU doesn't have to win vs MSU, but will need at least two W's in the BTT to get to the dance...the field just isn't as strong as in previous years, so 20+ wins & W's against Ky & Iowa should be enough

I agree. Nothing is ever guaranteed, though, so I'm not confident about it. Kentucky has lost to several bad teams and who knows how much value the committee will see in that win, at this point.

They aren't in now(even with the win yesterday) and with 2 more losses, they still won't get in.

You're prolly right, but I don't think it hinges exclusively on a MSU win or loss--even though a W would certainly help...again, the field is weak, and OSU's brand just might tilt the scales.

I would hope personally that things don't hinge on MSU, just because of the level they're playing at right now. If a competitive loss at their place followed by a good run in the B1G tournament can do it, that'd probably be more feasible, as I think I'd feel more comfortable going against about any other good team in the conference right now than against them.

OSU has to beat MSU to get in otherwise they don't deserve it unless they win the BTT.

    They aren't good.

Is Iowa on the bubble now?

    No. 6-7 seed probably.
  • wildcats20
Lunardi had them as a 5 as of today. Couple wins in the BTT and they could be back as a top 4 seed.

    Seriously??
  • The Answer
Not on the bubble but seems to be a trend for Iowa last several years to slump bad down the stretch of the year.
  • Laley23
They seem to get tired. Same thing happened to Indiana last few years. Crean eased off them this year and they look fresh. McCaffery might have the same issue.

Giddens may turn into a good player, but for now he just looks lost...and Kam Williams is a beast!

Yes. I have only watched OSU occasionally this year. From just glancing at their records I'm not sure what Iowa has done to get them in when OSU still has work to do. I know Iowa was ranked pretty high but they've lost a lot lately and I wasn't sure if the consensus was they are still in or not.
  • The Answer
Well this thing is over.....I guess we have to win whole damn tournament now.

i actually think making the finals could be enough...not that they will do that either

    They have some actual wins.

    Purdue x 2
    MSU x 2
    Wichita State

Ohio State has UK and Iowa, neither on the road. The actual numbers are probably very heavily skewed towards Iowa as well.

Yeah making the finals might do it but I agree they probably won't be getting there either. Looking like NIT this year
