Who's the Heisman favorite now?

vball10set
I never said that I hadn't heard of him, I said that he wasn't being mentioned in the Heisman discussion prior to the 'Bama game.LJ;1338730 wrote:He went by Johnny Football way before the Bama game. Also, anyone who truly follows college football knew about him way before the bama game. He had 557 total yards and 4 td against Ark in Sept.
btw, Arkansas??? lol -

ABC had 4 of them. Can also give an assist to Denard. -

Yes, Denard did help. No question there.karen lotz;1338740 wrote:ABC had 4 of them. Can also give an assist to Denard. -

Only 2 of them were on NBC so nice try. -

Yes, I watched several of his games this year and came away thinking he was the best player in college football. My opinion is validated by the fact that the majority of Heisman believed the same. -

He had a 76% completion rate and 0 turnovers in the loss to UF. How did he cost his team a win?karen lotz;1338736 wrote:He had two bad games prior to Bama, which cost his team wins. You know about those? Were you paying attention? -

I can agree with that.sherm03;1338724 wrote:I don't think it's just because of the fact that he went to ND, but rather the fact that ND played 6 games in prime time this year on National TV, and Te'o had big plays in all of those games.
It's tougher to get noticed when you are up against everyone else at the 3:30 spot. When you're the only game on, it's easier to get the bigger audience. And if you come up big in those situations, it goes a long way. -
jordo212000In lecturing me about what the Heisman "is" or stands for, it seems he is in the camp of people who thinks the award goes to the 'best player on the best team'
-
LJ
You obviously think he wont the Heisman off of 1 game, when you don't even know that wasn't his best performance of the season. You also seem to think that the media made up the Johnny Football name. I'm not sure you had ever seen him before the Bama game.vball10set;1338739 wrote:I never said that I hadn't heard of him, I said that he wasn't being mentioned in the Heisman discussion prior to the 'Bama game.

Again, I was asking a question and got a reply that didn't answer it. Not sure what your point was but apparently you missed mine.
Anybody know where this ranks in terms of margin of victory? -
karen lotzLJ;1338747 wrote:He had a 76% completion rate and 0 turnovers in the loss to UF. How did he cost his team a win?
He led the offense to 65 yards in the second half. Also since you brought up his completion%, he averaged 5.8 yards on his throws, meaning mostly short safe (read: easy) passes. Heisman numbers? His team played 5 teams with winning records and lost two. Impressive! -
karen lotzA bigger crime and injustice is guys like Case Keenum not winning the Heisman. Had better stats, should have won!!!

LJ
That was also his first ever game starting. The defense is also the one that UF scored on.karen lotz;1338762 wrote:He led the offense to 65 yards in the second half. NOW you want to bring up stats?Heisman numbers?karen lotz;1338762 wrote:lol -

I bring it up because that's the only argument you and jordo have. He had better numbers!!!!! Of course a QB in a system like that is going to put up numbers.LJ;1338764 wrote:That was also his first ever game starting. The defense is also the one that UF scored on.

So when I show you where his numbers are inflated against teams like Sam Houston State and Louisiana Tech, I LOL. -

He plays in the SEC?! I've heard it all now. Notre Dame people have no leg to stand on when it comes to schedule comparisons -

lol, wtf have you been drinking? Read my post, and then read it again. I said he wasn't in the discussion prior to the 'Bama game, and I never said that that was his best game or it wasn't. I never said the media made up the nickname, only that he was a product of the overhyping of it. Last but not least, please, don't embarass yourself any further by pretending to know who I've watched or haven't watched. Now, back to your cocktail, you obviously need another one.LJ;1338754 wrote:You obviously think he wont the Heisman off of 1 game, when you don't even know that wasn't his best performance of the season. Your posts make it pretty obvious what you know and you don't know, they also make it pretty obvious that you knew nothing about him prior to Bama.vball10set;1338771 wrote:lol, wtf have you been drinking? Fly4FunI knew it would go to Manziel. Should have gone to Klein. Klein gets knocked out of the running because his team loses 1 game in which he was average. Manziel completely cost Texas A&M a game against LSU. He was beyond terrible in that game, 3 int's, nothing on the ground, shitty completion %. And then Texas A&M also lost another game that Manziel was at best average in.
Oh well, you could see the writting on the wall before tonight.
