Pwned you. LOL
BCS rule only 2 teams per conference in BCS Bowl games -

So again, why did they choose Arkansas over LSU? Because they wanted a worse team in there? LOL -
SpeedofsandSEC West 3rd best = Big 10 Champ was a better match up than LSU stomping tOSU again. You would have been whining about it being a home game for LSU. You know, like that national championship beatdown.

They'd of won the SEC last year, there's no doubt about it. -

And I'm glad you agree that OSU would have won the SEC last year, and probably the year before too. -

Nope, talking about football. OSU would win every conference 9 out of 10 years. -
KnightRydersleeper;808231 wrote:Didn't they just beat Arkansas? A top 3 SEC team?
We'll keep winning, Florida will be a mediocre team for a while, just like they always have been.
outide of the big ten OSU is a mediocre team. funny thing OSU had to cheat just be mediocre. -

6 BCS bowl wins(the most in history) say otherwise.
I mean isn't FSU 1-5 in BCS bowl games? LOL -

lhslep134Both of you guys shut up (sleeper and speedofsand). OSU beat what the BCS committee deemed to be the 2nd best team from the SEC this past year. Nothing more, nothing less. Clearly the SEC has dominated this decade of college football, that's inarguable. OSU has been one of the best, most consistent teams this decade, moreso than pretty much every team out there. That doesn't take away anything from the SEC nor does it mean anything about the Big 10. OSU's success is OSU's success regardless of what conference they're in. Only 1 other team has won 5 BCS games in a 10 year span and that is USC. Enough said.

Yeah, your well has run dry. I thought you'd do a little better than that, but I guess when your only option is to act like your former leader and completely make shit up, I shouldn't expect much.
Well, thanks anyway. It is really no fun kicking someone when they're down, so enjoy your new elite company - being one of seven schools in the last decade or so to have both major sports punished for major violations. Like the Buckeyes always say, if you can't beat 'em, cheat 'em! -

I know you didn't say this in your post, but do you really think OSU is only one of seven schools to commit major violations this past decade? I'm not talking about getting caught, I'm talking about actually committing the violations.
Being "caught" for major violations changes nothing for me on my perspective of OSU. So what, a very small percentage of their players took some money...I'd be much more disgraced if a very small percentage of our players were committed of high felony charges. I could care less if some of them took some money--wouldn't you? You make old rich white men millions of dollars, and you see none of that (outside of scholarship money, etc.)? Of course they take some money, most big time stars do. -
RotinajI cant believe people still get into arguments with Sleeper about anything to do with OSU or the Big 10.

What's ridiculous about the concept that a coach can misbehave without it necessarily being a violation of a particular group's rules? Nothing, of course. -

Perspective is the key. If you ever called out another program for being "dirty" or called another coach a "scumbag", you pretty much have to admit OSU and Tressel are those things now. That is all. There is no way around it when your school is one of those on a short list that has been proven guilty.
Now, my personal opinion (all joking with sleeper aside) is that I don't care about recruiting violations, or selling stuff, or even felonies. I watch a bunch of people I don't know play a game on TV for entertainment. I'm not trying to be their friend. I'm not associated with the program. I can't control the outcome and the outcome doesn't make me any better or worse of a person. Things that happen off the field do not change on field results for me in any way. Player A is getting paid, plays in the game, wins. I'll take it. Player B got paid and is suspended, team loses. Those are the breaks. You can't change the past and you can't say, "well if (so and so) had/hadn't played...". A result is a result and it is just a way to spend some time. -

Perspective from whom? Me? Other OSU fans? Other fans of different schools?
My point, is that FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, these violations simply mean they got caught. It doesn't matter if you get caught or not, it's going on at most places...so why should my perspective be different simply because they got caught?
It's like saying I don't think of certain mobsters as criminals because they've never been caught/arrested. They're still murderers, they just haven't been caught. I think no different of them whether or not they were put in jail or not. -

Yeah, because I use facts rather than regurgitating ESPN's mantra of the SEC is the best. Continue the hate, we'll continue to win. -
SportsAndLadyA lot of sleeper's posts include hyperbole and 'stretches' that some people simply cannot understand is just for the lulz, but for the most part his main points still stand and usually are correct (not everyones perfect).

I agree. A person either sees all these folks as cheaters (OSU included) or they see all these folks as doing what they have to do for their circumstances. I don't feel the rules have anything to do with the actual game, so I don't care if it is Florida, OSU, or anyone else. For the people who have long thought OSU was above everyone else (or anyone else who thought their school was - I just don't encounter as many of those), it was never enough to say, "your school does it too." Now, there's proof, so those people either have to accept that they were wrong all along and call a spade a spade (there's not much difference between the top schools) or compromise what they thought were their principles (principles which are kind of silly in my opinion, when you are talking about a sports team that you choose to watch).
