Do you know what relatively means? LOL

    It still doesn't matter......

It was a totally ignorant statement to make

    1) What is so funny about what I am saying? Are you saying you disagree with me about Buford shooting so mucH? You think he should have kept shooting? You think bringing in Dallas to help Sullinger down low with Harrelson is a bad idea? You think going to other viable options, other than poor shooting Buford, is a bad idea?

    2) What does Kansas have to do with any of this? If they don't win, you guys can say stuff like "why didn't they go to Marcus and Markieff more?" "Why was Taylor shooting so much?" Etc. What are they going to be all over my ass for? LMAO that's so dumb

Haha okay let me break this down, for our downs syndrome posters on the board.

Self goes to the NCAA tourney every year...Coach K and Roy (he has had a few non-NCAA seasons, however) do, too...Self has a national championship, K and Roy do, too...Self has had a few early round exits, Roy and K have, too. See how the term "relative" fits?

Thank you!! That's all I am trying to say
  • Ty Webb
    No it doesn't fit

Big Gain;725586 wrote:We needed more scoring, not Lauderdale.

Like I already said..there is going to be one game in the tourney when a championship team is going to have to win an ugly, low scoring game. You don't need a lot of scoring to win these games, you need in game adjustments to adjust to the low scoring game. Kansas beat Seth Curry's Davidson team scoring only 59 points...defense and coaching will win one game for you, when the shots aren't falling.

    How doesn't it fit, Downs?

It seemed to me that OSU had a huge problem defending the pick n' roll. I'm not sure different adding Lauderdale would have helped much with Harrellson.

    A valid point.

    Roy Williams:
    643-162
    7 Final Fours
    2 National Titles
    14 Regular Season Conference Titles
    6 Conference Tournament Titles
    Basketball Hall Of Fame

    Bill Self:
    443-150
    2 Final Fours
    1 National Championship
    11 Regular Season Conference Titles
    6 Tournament Conference Titles

Would you like to post Coach K's as well....making your argument look even worse

How about Diebler, Lighty, and Sullinger.
Ignoramus..... LOLOLOLOLOL Diebler, Lighty and Sullinger were on the floor, thus they WERE options. Diebler took 10 shots, Lighty took 12 shots, SuIllinger took 14 shots AND Bufford took 16 shots. Bufford has taken more shots then the other 3 all season. Bufford actually took fewer shots in comparison than what he usually takes. For the most part Bufford took better shots then the other three, in this game. Bufford took shots he has made all season.

That's exactly my point you fucking moron...he's taking more shots than those other guys, yet is shooting 10% from the field. Need more shots from Diebler, Lighty, and Sully.
  • Automatik
I would have liked for his shots to just have fucking went in.

You can't be this dumb, can you?

Do you know what the term relative means?

Roy has been in the NCAA tourney 20 times..35% of the time he makes the FF...10% of the time he wins a championship
Self has been in the NCAA tourney 13 times...15% of the time he makes the FF...8% of the time he wins a championship

    Roy has a 79.8 win %
    Self has a 74.7 win %

Roy wins the conference regular season title 64% of the time...he wins the conference tourney 27% of the time
Self wins the conference regular season title 85% of the time...he wins the conference tourney 46% of the time
  • Ty Webb
You just made your own argument look bad dude.....

Just because Self coaches at Kansas doesn't mean he is in the same league as Williams or Coach K

Hell,Billy Donovan has a better resume than Self,And he is the light years behind those two guys
  • Azubuike24
While this is a dumb argument, S&L is right. Bill Self is 48 years old. Billy Donovan is 45 years old. Roy Williams is 61 years old.

If at Kansas, Bill Self is going to continue to have top 15 teams year in and year out. To PROJECT HIM in the same class as Roy Williams is not that unrealistic. The same can be said for Donovan, if he just continues to achieve 25+ wins a year at Florida. Now, this all depends how long Roy Williams stays the head coach at UNC, but it's not unrealistic that those other two are in the same class if you consider age.
  • SportsAndLady
It is a dumb argument, because webby doesn't understand what I'm saying. I'm not comparing Self to anyone, I'm just saying he's a microcosm of Roy and K...consistent tourney appearances, few early upsets, national championship, successful coach. Why is that so hard for Downs to understand? I mean what are you even saying, Downs? Just because he coaches at Kansas doesn't mean hes in the same league as Roy and K? LOL Where did I even say that? And why even bring up Billy Donovan? How is he relevant? lmao he is seriously stupid
  • SportsAndLady
By the way, Downs...Donovan just got outcoached by Brad Stevens, it was so obvious...further proving my point that Billy Donovan isn't a great coach, he just road that one great recruiting class to two titles. ONE final four in the other 10 years; multiple missed NCAA tourneys....he is not better than Self, give me a break.

There are alot of KU fans who dislike the way he manages players in the game. They really like his recruiting they just question his in game management. I can tell you that first hand after living in lawrence. I wouldnt trade Matta for Self and im sure ku fans wouldnt trade Self for Matta. I can also tell you kansas lets their players get away with alot of questionable acts. Mario Chalmers is the biggest pothead i have ever met.

Speaking of chewing, here's one to savor for you. Your team was beaten by a 4 seed that sent their starters from last year to the NBA. Coach Knight was right, too many people pay too much attention to who is #1 during the season and not enough to who is #1 after the season is over. Was Matta outcoached? Likely but why would that surprise anyone?

    Lol

    1) You don't think OSU fans would trade for Bill Self?

    2) What questionable acts do they get away with? There have been multiple suspensions this year to players on KU who have broken the rules.

    3) Mario Chalmers doesn't go to KU, he can smoke whatever he wants...even if he did smoke a lot at KU, so what? It's fucking weed...Ask Buford about weed...he'll be interested
