That just proves that Tressel thought of it, not that he or Kelly are ultimately responsible for it. -
OneBuckeyeSomeone needs fired, because someone was in charge of the lifts and making the descision to use them.

That also says the day before and not the day of. I've already posted that it'd be interesting to know when the wind advisory was announced to begin and expire as well as the communication between the camera guys and the AV director. To me, that information would bring a lot more insight then anything about Brian Kelly. -

If the wind advisory came out 5 minutes after they went up the lifts it is the responsibility of the direct supervisor to get them down. that part is pretty cut and dry. All that matters is that the wind was too high before he died. -

I still say that they need to investigate the film crew director or w/e his actual title is. Again, JMO, but I would assume that he would have some kind of contact with all of his crews. If he tried to contact Sullivan but couldn't reach him, then is he still liable? I don't know. I just find it hard to believe that NOBODY had contact with him (supervisor wise) around practice time (let's say 2-5 or w/e) given the weather circumstances that day. -

There were other people on lifts as well. I am sure OSHA investigated if anyone was contacted and told to get down. I would assume that if they were and Sullivan couldn't be reached that OSHA would not have declared them negligent. -
bigkahunaWhy can't this be like HS football where you have a coach or a player with a broken arm/ineligible do the filming for you? At least that way you'd know 100% that it's the head coach's responsibility.

I didn't read the report, was there anything in there about that? -

Yeah, it said they were negligent for not telling them to get down when winds were over 28 mph -

I think it proves more than that. -

centralbucksfanBottom line, Kelly was/is ULTIMATELY responsible. He is he head coach and runs the football program. That being said, it was an accident and he should NOT step down or lose his job. I think thats been pretty much decided already.
This was one of those freak, tragic accidents where people learned a hard lesson and will now be more aware of situations like this. -

Notre Dame was ruled negligent, therefore it is not "an accident". Someone needs to lose their job, maybe BK, maybe someone else, but its a absolute joke how ND is handling this. -

So conducting an investigation is an absolute joke? -
karen lotzsleeper, what does the ND in the thread title stand for? Which forum is this? Why are you posting on it?

An investigation? OHSA found someone negligent, how hard is it to find the direct boss of the camera crew? I bet he's on payroll somewhere, this is merely ND giving lip service to "ND takes FULL responsibility".killer_ewok;715450 wrote:So conducting an investigation is an absolute joke?
It was edited in, you can't apply topics retroactively, you must have them in place at the time of the thread. Also, get a life.karen lotz;715451 wrote:sleeper, what does the ND in the thread title stand for? Which forum is this? Why are you posting on it?
