you're a dumb fuck, so please leave
anyway, I'm disappointed that JT didn't make the right decision in April, but I still love the guy, and I still want him as our coach...GO BUCKS!!! -
se-alumBottomline, Federal investigation > NCAA bylaws.

it was already said there was an investigation and found to be NO DRUG TRAFFICKING!! -
enigmaaxse-alum;703967 wrote:Yea, cause OSU started their investigation in January and the Yahoo report came out yesterday. The process had been started long before Yahoo was involved.
They said they started their investigation in January? They also said they didn't know anything about until December. Track record on timelines is a little suspect. -
raiderbuckFidmeister;703950 wrote:What? Drug trafficking?
Tress mentioned an ongoing drug trafficking case. -
bo shemmy3337This reminds me of the Michigan practice issues. The only difference is everything was laid out for people to see and most thought the Michigan sanctions were above and beyond what was needed and they turned out to be just that. This is different though as there is so many unanswered questions IMO.

Yes they said they found out about the e-mails in January and reported them to the NCAA. -
centralbucksfankiller_ewok;703970 wrote:A little after the fact though, don't ya' think?
No question. But I am still trying to figure all of this out as far as the emails from lawyer, confidentiality, players involed, danger they were in, etc, etc. Not making excuses...just like to see what exactly went down. Still in the dark on what was exactly going on. Federal investigation was obviously going on. I can't believe Tressel thought for one second, that with players involved, that he could keep this hidden. -
sleeperFidmeister;703955 wrote:They knew in January and waited until the day it became public to self report. Hardly addressing it in a timely fashion.
I'm sure those two scrimmages will be a ton of adversity.
Keep hating'. OSU is the best program in the country, and they will deal just fine with the adversity. Whatever school you root for is second best AT BEST, and you'd be lying if you wouldn't give a kidney to be even half as great as THE Ohio State University. -
vball10setthe only thing worse than seeing JT up on that podium is reading some of these idiotic posts by fans of some of these other so called "reputable schools"....the hypocrisy is insane

Here's the investigation:
GS: "Jim, did you know?"
JT: Yes, but ...
GS: "Shit."
JT: I was told by someone else not to talk.
GS: "You should have told me, Gordon, the compliance people, your dog, some fucking body. Tomorrow, you're being suspended. I'll work with the NCAA and we'll come to an agreeable amount." -

You're talking about 2 separate investigations, try to keep up. -

Cool. You should have told us you were in on it. -

Right. And last time the selling stuff topic came up, they said they had found out in December...which wasn't true. So why would anyone believe they're telling the truth now? Also, Yahoo already said they were investigating this for two months. So again, it is easy to come clean when you know someone is about to out you. No props for admitting guilt. -

So with no credibility to the first part of the email, why would he think twice about ignoring the second part? There is way to many holes in this story IMO. -

The emails were about the dude that owned the tattoo parlor selling drugs not the players, they were just in the middle of it. Nobody was selling anything other than their trinkets and autograph. Tressel caught between a rock and a hard place. Respect the confidentiality of the attorney of record and knowing there was clearly a responsibility to report to the NCAA. He should have sought council and didn't to protect himself.
There really is nothing here. -
enigmaaxse-alum;703984 wrote:You're talking about 2 separate investigations, try to keep up.
No, you try and keep up. They lied once (in December) about a timeline. I'm not really gonna take them at their word this time. -

I'm sure they're crushed that you don't believe them. -

I thought it was pretty black and white. -

Personally I do not think this is a big deal and the NCAA will be fine with the self imposed sanctions, lets face it. It was an email. I get 10 a day and don't read them all how the fuck is he supposed to respond and read every 200 emails he gets a day? Not only that but as far as I can tell it was just one email, no phone call or anything like that. Do you think Jo Pa checks his email? -

Two totally different investigations. Try and keep up. I'm very disappointed in JT. His reputation is definitely tarnished. -

Actually, I attended a far better school in my field than Ohio State will ever be. I don't particularly care what happens on the football field. We're decent, not great. Don't particularly care.
And there are plenty of programs out there who can argue they are every bit as good - if not better - than Ohio State. You opinion is that Ohio State is the best. That does not make it fact, no matter how much conviction you say it with.
I can say, with certainty, that the major program I root for hasn't been under the NCAA thumb like Tressel's Buckeyes in a decade and a half. The program to which I hold the most loyalty has never been. -
chicago510So who is our acting head coach the first two games? Never thought we would have a Bollman-Bauserman duo heading into next season.
