2011 Big East Tournament

I took Pitt as well-- although I would love to see my Bearcats make a little run and "Represent the C". If by some miracle they won the BE, they would have to face a stretch that would include Nova, ND, Syracuse and Pitt. Absolutely brutal.

I like the spot UC is in. Beating Nova would be considered a big win and losing is a good loss. Then they would face ND who they outplayed after a turrible start in South Bend, and that was when Yancy was playing like a pansy. The Garden crowd will love the way UC plays. Doesn't look like we will have a chance to see the Cats in Cleveland, I won't complain though. :)

UC definitely put themselves in a nice spot here and should really be playing without much pressure this week. If ND cools down at all it could be trouble against UC or LVille. If they continue to play like they have the last 12 games (minus second half at WVU), I really like our shot at getting to the Finals

    Close to tip!

    who's everyone got today?

    I'll take:
    UConn
    SH
    Nova
    Providence
  • me_myself_i
    UConn
    Rutgers
    LETS GO NOVA
    Marquetts

Head says Pitt wins it all, heart pulling for NOVA!

It really sucks a potential Cuse vs Johnnies matchup is going to be Thursday at 2pm. That game should be the nightcap regardless of seedings. I think the winner of that game will win it all.

Game on. Noon on Tuesday..both team are sloppy early on.
  • TBone14
Depaul..off a 107-59 loss to Syracuse Saturday, is now 1-11 from the floor. They are dreadful.
  • TBone14
Game 1 from MSG was entertaining. UConn built a 17 point halftime lead..Depaul cut the lead to 7 with about 10 left, but then UConn took over. Walker with 26ish. Final was something like 96-71.

DePaul will be decent in about 2 years.

know they've already started but I would've said all of the higher seeds today (I think SH is the higher seed-if not that's the exception). Could see Providence being pesky though

    Onions.
  • killer_ewok
That was well beyond the NBA 3-point line. Wow.
  • killer_ewok
    Hazell?

Rutgers takes it in OT. They play the Johnnies tomorrow. Winner gets Syracuse.

Reports are out that Hansbrough will be named Big East POY and Brey COY. Sounds about right.

Pretty impressive game by Rutgers, this tourney is off to a fast start.

South Florida keeping it tight against Villanova, only down by 2 at the under 4 timeout. Villanova has been in a big pretty downspiral for the last month.

USF playing really well the last 5 minutes or so.

Jay is really going to have to turn things around or I could see him in the hot seat after another "so-so" season.

That was absolutely NOT a foul.

Reese's just committed the greatest injustice in their existence as a South Florida players slips on thier logo to turn the ball over down 3 with 36 seconds left.

lol Yeah I feel bad for the kid.

Nova continues to miss FT's and USF has a chance. Now going to the line, down 3.

    Oh man...

Nova throws it away and USF gets an easy deuce. Up 1 with 22.8 left.
