2011 Big East Tournament

    Wow. Pretty crazy finish.

Five wins in five days for UConn. They're definitely catching fire at the right time.

Depaul, Gtown, Pitt, Syracuse and Louisville. That is a hell of a run by UCONN. Awesome game.

great week, UConn definitely deserved it.

That was a great game. It could be argued that uconn's run to the big east title would be tougher than getting to the national championship game.

UConn's 2.5 percent chance at the BE Championship has to be more than their chance to win the NCAA tourney, but it's probably about even.
Just shows how unbelievable UConn's week was.

You could tell that Kemba was basically running on fumes, but he made a lot of big plays again tonight for the Huskies. I would hate to see UConn in my bracket if I was one of the top seeds. They might ride this momentum into a deep tournament run.

About even I'd say. They basically beat a 16, 9, 1, 4, and 3 seed. Pretty much the same any #1 seed in the tourney will have to do to get to the title game, just switch the order to 16, 9, 4, 3, 1. Add in 5 games and 5 days and you could argue either way, this was probably harder.

Everyone said that about Cuse too though a few years back, although they didn't have a POY candidate.

This. Uconn will be slightly overseeded and won't make it past next weekend. That's not too say that they/Kemba weren't amazing. They were and they deserve a shit ton of credit. But, I've seen this show before and it usually doesn't end well.

They could definitely flame out early, even after playing so well this week, but they have to have a ton of confidence right now. That confidence, coupled with the fact that Kemba can be unstoppable at times, does make them dangerous. Depending on their draw, I can definitely see them making it past the first weekend, especially if they somehow end up with a 3 seed, rather than a 4 or 5 as they were projected before this run. I see what you guys are saying though.

They are a lock for a 3, possibly the last 2 seed.

They should make it to the sweet 16, I think Syracuse is the only team not to do that in the last 10yrs or so that won the Big East tourney. Could be wrong on that.

You're probably right about Syracuse. Pitt might be another team that won the BET and did not make the Sweet 16. I'm probably wrong though. On my phone and not gonna look it up right now.
